All six of Killian's remaining lieutenants. Plus Luca. Plus Catherine from the legitimate operations.
And, for the first time, Isla sitting beside Killian at the head of the table instead of observing from the side.
"Before we begin," Killian said, his voice cutting through the murmured conversations, "there's been a change in organizational structure."
Everyone stopped talking.
"Marcus is dead. As you all know, he betrayed me. Took Mrs. Archer's father hostage. Attempted to use her as leverage against me." Killian's voice was ice. "Mrs. Archer handled the situation herself. Eliminated the threat. Saved her father. Protected the organization from a traitor."
The lieutenants shifted. Some with respect. Others with barely concealed skepticism.
