Chapter 30 - 30 SKY

[ Location: Inside the Chamber ]

As Maki slowly walked toward the forest, he felt a deep connection forming within him—like he was part of nature itself. Maki knew what was causing this reaction: Hashirama's physique.

He felt the life force within this place, as if he were standing in his own domain. The forest itself seemed to greet him.

Maki clenched his right fist. He didn't fully understand it, but excitement overwhelmed him.

He cracked his neck to one side, then the other, and let out a deep breath. He stretched his arms upward, clasped them together, and counted from one to ten before bringing them down. Then he bent his upper body toward his legs, wrapping his arms around them like Bruce Lee, counting again from one to ten before releasing.

He exhaled deeply.

Next, he bent his knees into a squat. When his body was close to the ground—

Shokooooowsh—

He pushed himself upward with explosive force.

Maki leapt like the Hulk, launching himself out of the scene entirely.

While airborne, a smile spread across his face as he felt the breeze rush past him, his hair flowing freely with the wind. It was a sensation he had never felt before—unrestrained, unbound.

He entered the forest with a dynamic, explosive jump.

[ Monitoring Room ]

Nemu watched him closely.

She didn't notice it at first, but she had stopped grading him. Her fingers froze above the keyboard. She wasn't evaluating his movements anymore.

Nemu was simply staring—watching the man as he embraced his freedom.

[ Back Inside the Chamber ]

Maki was about to land on the mossy ground. Of course, before landing, he instinctively shifted into parkour. He flipped midair, spread his arms wide, and turned to face the blue sky—like Miles Morales' signature, carefree fall.

But Maki had no webs.

In fact, he hadn't planned anything at all.

He simply stared at the sky.

The clouds formed into asperitas, also known as undulatus asperatus—ominous, roughened waves that resembled a turbulent sea viewed from below.

That sight mesmerized him.

So much so that he completely forgot he was falling at high speed straight toward the ground.

He didn't care what would happen next.

In the monitoring facility, Nemu Kurotsuchi suddenly stood up from her seat.

She didn't know why.

He flipped suddenly—and those eyes again.

She knew he was looking at the sky, but there was something in his eyes she had never seen before. She didn't understand what it was, only that it felt foreign to her.

The others were busy with their own tasks and didn't notice Nemu's strange reaction.

Except for two women who had just returned after their argument and chase.

Nemuri and Terumi.

Both stared at Nemu in bewilderment.

( ゚∀゚)人(゚∀゚ )Nemuri and Terumi stared at Nemu.

They both knew this girl. They knew what had happened to her back then, how she had lost parts of her emotions, and how her father had been doing everything he could just to save her from becoming a completely emotionless person.

But this time, something felt off.

Nemu was showing a bizarre reaction—bewilderment and shock were clearly visible in her eyes.

Both of them were thinking the same thing.

Curiosity got the better of them. They slowly approached her from behind, and when they looked at the monitor—the source of Nemu's reaction—they saw Maki falling, his eyes fixed on the sky.

Mei's eyes sparkled. She clasped her hands against her cheeks and said,

(/▽\)♪"Look, it's my husband. So that's what he looks like. Ahh~~We're really made for each other, ahh~"

Her face flushed deeply.

Nemuri said nothing. She only stared at Maki, who was falling—utterly unbothered by everything else.

Nemu didn't speak either.

They all watched as Maki descended at terrifying speed.

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG

Maki's fall was like a small explosion.

Dust scattered across the screen. Trees and grass were violently forced back, destroyed by the sheer impact of his landing.

Slowly, the dust settled.

They saw Maki planted deep into the ground, his body partially buried, having excavated the earth itself. Spiderweb cracks spread everywhere—

Yet his eyes were still fixed on the sky.

The three women watching heard his deep voice recite a poem:

Qilak igalaatut aserorneqanngitsoq,

qulaani ersittoq, nuiaqanngilaq.

Tungujortoq itisoq nipaatsutut,

silaannap akornanni uninngaartoq.

Ataani imaq utaqqisoq,

qullimik isigisaqarluni,

ullut ilaanni qilak nakkariarluni

imaanut ingerlaqqissasutut.
