" How did you know I didn't go home but went to the graveyard instead?" Emma asked sharply.
Haiku replied," From the movement you joined the fight, you kept checking your watch. Your behaviour seemed strange to me. Even while you were hitting kurtow, you were looking at your time. I began to suspect you, and even after kurtow was shot, you continued to check your watch. My suspicion turned into a certainty; I knew you were taking a big risk."
He continude,"As you were leaving, a letter fell out of your pocket. It read:'Dear Emma, I know you. Of course, you don't know me, but I have known you for a long time. Or you could say I am your enemy. I want to meet you tonight at 8:00 PM at the graveyard.
From your greatest enemy,' That made me full realize you were in danger, and I started worrying about you. I was on my way to you when monster arrived, and I told him everything. We couldn't just leave the fight in the middle, so we messaged Angel. Then, we planned to tail you. When we reached you, I sow Sumi talking to you. Monster and I hide behind the trees... And after that, you know the rest, Emma".
Emma looked at him." So, you've taken up spying now?"
Haiku gave a dry, fake laugh." I didn't find that funny at all."
Just then, monster and Angel arrived with food. Angel asked Haiku."who inaugurated your nose?"
"This Queen over here!" Haiku grumbled. Emma began to laugh,but suddenly monster let out a scream, shivering violently from the cold. Angel told Haiku," please hold this packet." As Haiku took it, Angel unwound the muffler from her neck and wrapped it around monster. Monster blushed instantly. Angel Scolded," At least take care of yourself sometimes! I told you not to come today since you have a fever. Why did you come anyway? I was here!"
Hearing this, Monster lowered his head and apologized. Haiku thought to himself,' This is the first time in his life he is apologizing to anyone'.
Kuro muttered," one flirting session ends and another starts". He added,"whatever, I'm going to die single anyway."
" Did you say something?"Haiku asked." No" replied.
Emma spoke up,"I'm going to my room. If doctor joya sees me here, she'll lecture me to death." She added," Monster, came with me. She should check your hand too."
As they left, Haiku and kuro asked Angel,"Did you tell Monster how you feel?"
"No," Angel sighed." He doesn't have time to talk to me, but he has plenty of time to eat my chocolates without asking!"
Then she asked,"Did you tell Emma how you feel?"
"No," Haiku said.
Kuro chimed in," Of course not. He's developed a hobby of getting his heart broken."
Haiku and Angel shot back," Look who's talking! The one who is still setting here single!"
"Are you happy now that you've mocked me?" Kuro grumbled.
Angel turned serious." You Both remember the plan, right?"
"Yes,we remember," they replied. "Can Monster pull off the acting?" Kuro asked.
"I spent two hours making him memorize just two lines yesterday," Angel replied.
[Scene shift]
The moon hid behind dark clouds. The scene shift to Emma's apartment. Monster was asking Emma if he could come inside because he was extremely thirsty. Emma agreed.
As they approached the room, Emma stopped.
" Something is wrong."
"How?" Monster asked.
" Look at this wood piece ,"Emma pointed." I place this by the side of the gate everyday when I go out and remove it when I return. But today it's broken someone is inside!" She took a lollipop from her pocket, started eating it, and tied her hair. As she open the door, Haiku appeared. Without looking, Emma landed a heavy punch right in his stomach.
" Happy birthday Em...!" Everyone shouted. Emma realized what happened and saw Haiku with blood coming from his mouth. She hugged his tightly, apologizing.
Kuro thought," If you hug him like that, he'll be Willing to get beaten up for the rest of his life!
Haruto watched with jealousy." He's so weak," He muttered." He can't even protect Emma. He got injured by just one punch Angel, standing nearby, overheard." That punch was so strong that you would have been found stuck to the wall!"
Emma stood up and asked, " How did you get the key ?"
" We have kuro! He had an extra key," they laughed. Emma thanked everyone.
[Sence shift]
A cold wind was blowing as they returned from school. Angel ran and accidentally fell onto monster, suddenly - BANG!
A bullet hit kuro directly in the shoulder. He Collapsed.
[Hospital sence]
The doctor explained that kuro narrowly escaped death. The bullet was very close to his heart . Rage boiled in Emma. She took Haiku, Monster, Angel, and Haruto to find Sumi.
*Scene shift*
We see she grabbed sumi by his collar." I didn't expect you to try and kill kuro!" "Are you crazy?" Sumi snapped." I told you I'd take your most precious thing- Haiku! Not kuro. Why would I care about kuro?"
"Me?" Haiku asked in shock." Now get out of here!" Sumi shouting.
The other left, but Haiku stayed.
" I need your help," Haiku said.
" Are you all high?" Sumi mocked.
" One makes false accusation, the
other ask for help from his enemy.
" You are our friend first, enemy leter," Haiku replied. And if you don't tell me,"I'll tell Angel that you love her.
Sumi sighed." Fine. But this is the last time." Haiku gave a creepy smile." How did you find out about kakaru's death?
Oka osami told me," sumi revealed.
"I understand everything now," Haiku said.
" Money".
"What do you mean?"sumi asked.
Haiku gave a chilling laugh." Sorry but not sorry," he said and walked. Sumi muttered," He's definitely high."
[ Sence shift: The meeting]
A meeting was underway at the temple when Haiku arrived. Immediately began punch at haruto in anger.
"What is this? Have you gone mad" Emma screamed.
"Me, mad? Yes, I'm mad for working under you!" Haiku spat." I'm tired of this friendship act. I'm leaving this gang right now!"
"This is a joke,right?"
Emma asked
Haiku said"No".
Monster moved to attack. But Angel stopped him." He's acting. I know him. He loves Emma more than his life.Emma must be in trouble for Haiku to take such a step."
'I'm sorry,Emma ,' Haiku thought, his soul shattering. He broke down in tears as soon as he left the meeting.
[ Scene shift]
Haruto and Emma sat on the Temple steps." Don't you feel bad?" Haruto asked. "No", Emma whispered,"I know one of us is in trouble, and that's why he's acting. He probably cried right of after the meeting. When he's done, he'll come back.. and if this, isn't an act..."
She began to sob." Then I'll lose him."She turned to Haruto."I need a promise that you will bring Haiku back."
Suddenly, Emma began vomiting blood. Angel rushed support her as she fainted. Emma's last words were,"Haiku... Is that you?"
