The gorilla leader dipped his massive head low in a deep, respectful bow, his tone far softer and more courteous than it had been mere moments prior.
"We are kin of the Southwest Hill Tribe. This is our first journey to the central autumn festival this year, and we thank you for the peaceful greeting on this shared trail."
Tigris stepped forward beside Jor, his tiger ears twitching alertly as he matched the other clan leader's respectful stance without letting go of his protective edge, one arm subconsciously pulling me closer to his hip.
"The neutral market grounds welcome all peaceful trading clans. If your caravan intends to travel the same road toward the festival plains, our warriors can stand guard alongside yours against roaming rogue beast herds. No predator will dare strike two united clans at once."
