Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

"Magic missile!"

A blue ball appears from my magic staff and hits the slime in front of me. I smile a little as it disappears into nothingness and leaves behind a lot of loot. When Tanaka says that I have a buff called 100% chance loot drops, it means that each mob will drop every item it is possibly able to drop at once.

That means, the blue slime in front of me drops even the rarest item it is possible to drop, and at the maximum amount. What does that mean? That means it drops a lot of data crystals and the maximum amount of creating material.

As for level, I had already reached level five in just an hour. That is from hunting the lowest-level mob in the area. As expected of the 1000% EXP booster. Now, I can put that level into my class and receive the reward from leveling up that class.

Without hesitation, I put all of my levels into [Wizard] and unlocked more spells for me. At level five, the class already gives me one Tier-2 spell.

I shake my head and return to the city. Why? I need to make a new set of armor. There is a reason why I have only hunted blue smiles for the past hour. I want to create an armor set that will help me hunt bigger monsters. However, that is not the only reason why I've done this.

I also want to unlock my first production-oriented classes. To unlock that, I need to create a set of armor from any armor smith store.

I approach the crafting zone and walk to an armorsmith shop. I approach one of the NPCs and say.

"I want to create armor."

A list of options appears in front of me, and I press the crafting with material instead of buying. A list of armor appears in front of me, and I immediately pick the only option called {Blue Slime Set}.

When I press the 'Craft' button, the NPC nods his head and says.

"Alright. Wait a moment."

I watch the NPC walk to the nearby anvil and start hammering. I can see all the items I bring appear out of thin air and combine into one large ball of light. After a few seconds, the NPC is done and brings a ball of light to the table.

After he puts it on the table, the ball of light disappears and turns into four pieces of equipment: Headgear, Body Armor, Leggings, Boots, and Gloves.

The blue slime set might not be the best in terms of protection and the effect it grants, but it is very versatile. It does not sacrifice anything and increases overall stats. As for the effect it grants as a set, it gives resistance to bludgeoning damage and small resistance to water and cold.

All in all, not the best, but good enough for my plan.

"I see that you are working hard to gather all of these materials, young'un. I can see fire in your eyes, and I like it. How about learning how to make armor for yourself?"

I smile a little and press the 'Yes' button.

"Yes. Please teach me how to make armor."

"Perfect! Here, watch this."

I watch a few seconds of the scene, and when it ends, I get my third class. Now, I only need to put some level into them to activate them. That means I need to hunt more mobs, and I already know which type of mobs I need to hunt.

==| Line Break |==

"Magic missile! Acid arrow!"

Two spells fly from my magic staff and hit the giant wolf right in the head. However, instead of going down, it snarls at me and continues its charge toward me.

"Lesser dexterity!"

I use a buffing spell to increase my dexterity and dodge the wolf as it leaps toward me.

"Magic arrow! Firebolt!"

An arrow made of mana and red energy flies out, hitting the wolf right in the body. I release a sigh when I see the wolf fall to the ground. Not only that, I smile a little as I receive a notification that I am ready to summon my first companion.

As a shaman, I can summon a companion alongside me. However, there are limitations. Why? Well, shaman is a class that you can get without completing anything. You can get it at level one, unlike some of the basic classes that require you to complete a mission to get it.

What is the limitation to summon a companion? The player needs to defeat at least twenty creatures they want to summon. Not only that, a shaman can only summon Beast-type creatures. Lastly, all of the summons will not start at their maximum stats, but instead grow the more you feed them Data Crystals.

It requires a significant investment, but it can also reach a higher ceiling as a result. A summoner can summon a Grey Wolf, the wolf I've been hunting, and will get a level 10 wolf, but a shaman can have a level 20 Grey Wolf when they invest their Data Crystals into their companions.

Summoner's summoned creatures also do not last long, unlike the shaman's summoned creature. They will stay forever and can be unsummoned and resummoned at will. However, there are downsides. Summoners can resummon their creatures after the cooldown is over, but shamans cannot do that.

Once their companion dies, it is lost, and the shaman must hunt more mobs to summon it back; however, it will restart at level 1. That is why their companions can level up and even evolve.

Speaking of evolving, there is a reason why I picked the Grey Wolf as my first companion. It has the highest level cap in the Shaman's summoned creatures list. It can reach level 25 and have great stats to accompany it.

Not only that, but Grey Wolf is also able to evolve and turn into a Giant Wolf. It is a shame that the level will reset, but the growth will double the Grey Wolf growth, and the level cap will increase to level 50.

Anyway, the reason why I chose this creature as my first companion is that the Grey Wolf is high in HP and AGI, making it a perfect dodging tank role in my party.

Anyway, it is time for me to complete the summoning. I am now level thirteen, with five levels in Wizard and five levels in Shamans. I leave the rest for an emergency or when I change my mind.

I shake my head and point my magic staff at the ground before activating my spell.

"Summon Spirit Companion: Grey Wolf!"

After I say that, a ghostly grey wolf appears in front of me. It is as big as the wolves I fought earlier, but my companion is level 1 instead of level three or four. However, it does not last long because I immediately feed Grey Wolf with all the Data Crystals I have in my inventory and watch its level grow.

It is now a level 7 Grey Wolf with high HP and good defense. Sadly, the AGI is currently lagging behind, but it will improve when it reaches level 10.

Now that I have a companion, I think it is time for me to enter a dungeon. It is a shame that I will not get a bonus from being the first to enter the dungeon because that is a server-wide event, but at least Tanaka makes sure that I will still get the bonus drop when I clear the dungeon as long as I am the first one to clear it.

Those bonus drops are not the same drops as regular drops a dungeon boss has. So, even with my buff, I cannot get them unless I am the one clearing the dungeon. That is why I am planning to explore the entire area before the other players enter the game.

I am making sure not to read the data regarding the dungeon because I want to discover all of them, and I only have a list of dungeons in the area to create a checklist of which dungeons I've completed.

Tanaka and his team are going all out because in the list, there are about two hundred and thirty dungeons around the area for me to discover and explore. There are dungeons that are very obvious and dungeons that are very well hidden.

And I will conquer them all. According to my memory, the developers are disappointed that players stop exploring the world because they are afraid of their level going down when they die, and I will ensure that this does not happen.

I will be the first one to explore this game and ensure that not a single stone is left unturned.
