Ten months. That is how long it takes for the team to complete the game. It turns out, the HR department is able to recruit very talented people to work with the rest of the team. Those new recruits are able to learn the tools and any information the team throws at them at a remarkably fast rate.
The promise of a high salary also helps to motivate them.
In just ten months, the team successfully created YGGDRASIL, and we are now ready to publish it to the public in a week. However, before we publish the game, I decided to invite Tanaka for a chat.
"So, Tanaka… Do you have the thing I asked you to make?"
Tanaka quickly nods his head and says.
"Of course, sir. I've created a special account for you."
That is what I ask him to make. I don't want a GM account, but I want an account with all the benefits that a GM account offers.
"This account will have a permanent 1000% EXP boost buff, 100% loot chance buff, Level-Loss Prevention buff, and I already removed the level cap to all the things you choose. That includes your level cap, guild base's level cap, spell slot cap, inventory size, and accessories cap. There are more, but you can explore them later."
That's right. I don't need a GM account because I still want to experience the game, even at the easiest difficulty.
"However, if you decide to use this account, you cannot enter all server-wide events, sir."
"Does it still let me gather titles and classes from the PVE part of the game, right? Like exploring the game, and such."
"That's right."
I have the data to access all the classes, including the Legendary Grade class, but that's it. That means I still need to go to that place and get that class to receive the Legendary Class. I only know the path to get that class and nothing else.
It is a massive cheat, don't get me wrong, but I still need to do something, unlike when I have a GM account.
"Perfect. I don't mind not participating in the server-wide event or even starting a PVP battle. I prefer adventure, anyway."
"Thank you for your understanding, sir. I've connected your account to your job account. You can log in using that account, sir."
"Thank you for your hard work, Tanaka. You are dismissed. I will play the game now."
"Yes, sir!"
After he leaves my office, I walk toward the latest VR pods my family company created. Unlike the other VR pods, this one does not require me to inject nanomachines every few hours. The pods will automatically pump the nanomachines and even keep my body healthy by injecting nutrient-rich liquid.
Sadly, even with all that, it can only let me play VR for a week nonstop before I need to stop and refuel the nanomachine tank and the nutrient tank.
I shake my head and open the door to the pod. I enter the pod and feel something connected to my neural port. However, before I can close the pod and enter the VR world, a blue panel appears in front of me.
|Sorry for the late introduction, Jin! How is your reincarnation? I hope it is good because I don't have the time to watch over your journey. There is a lot of work for a being like me, you see? I will look at them when you die, and your soul reaches my side, or until I have free time. Anyway, good luck, and make sure to use my gift, okay?|
I blink for a moment at the panel in front of me. Is this a system? What kind of gift do I get?

Good. That is good because I love my parents in this life. I prefer staying here, but the need for me to go on an adventure makes me want to abandon this universe. However, with this, I can influence the developer to add something that allows me to explore other universes without any problems.
Adding a few flavor texts can change the outcome of the spell, after all. If that does not work, I can ask the developer to create new spells that allow me to explore the greater universe.
Now I am even more excited to play the game.

There is no answer, but I like to think that they hear me. With a smile, I close my pod and enter the VR world. There are many games inside this VR pod; most of them are creations of my company, but I am not here to play those games.
I open the newest game, YGGDRASIL, and press "Play" immediately.
A second later, I arrive in the familiar blue room where I can create my character. It is a basic character creation section, and I can complete my character in just a couple of minutes.
I pick humans because I don't want to test whether my race will affect my race in real life. As for starting class, I pick [Wizard] as my starting class. Why? It is a very versatile class, after all. At the cost of HP and other defenses, this class can use a vast number of spells and even use some of the class-specific spells.
As a human, I can take all kinds of Job Classes, unlike the Demi-Humans and the Heteromorphic race. There are a lot of unique and powerful racial spells, abilities, and traits, but just like I said, I prefer to be a human, and I don't want to gamble in case I turn into another race in real life.
I shake my head and look around. I smile a little at the blue sky above me and the NPCs walking around the starting city. I arrive in Midgard, the best starting point for a human because it has everything.
There are a few interesting places in other realms for humans, but it is better for me to start here.
I take a deep breath, and I can feel the artificial fresh air in my artificial lungs. As the owner of the world's most advanced VR pod, I will have the full VR experience. That means I can talk in here instead of just using a chat box, I can smell the air, and even taste the food.
I look down and wave my hand to open my status window.
It is just like your regular Wizard's stats, but what makes me smile is the permanent light on the corner of the window. I press them and smile at the buff. I also check the inventory and smile at the unlimited symbol. My level also does not have a limit, which means I do not need to complete a specific quest to increase my level limit.
I nod my head and decide to explore the entire town first.
What? I have a week to explore before the others arrive here. I want to explore the town before it gets too crowded. First things first, I need to get more Job-Class. I already have a combination for my first class combo.
I walk toward the biggest park in the town, and walk deeper into the park, where I see a massive tree in the middle of the park. There, I see a man sitting in front of the massive tree, with a collection of animal parts lying next to him. He is wearing a green vest and green shorts, accompanied by a tree-like staff with an animal skull on top, sitting next to him.
As I get closer, he looks at me and says.
"Ah, welcome, stranger. Are you here to enjoy the scenery?"
Three options appear in front of me, and after reading them, I pick the second one.
"I am enjoying this beautiful park. However, I come here because I am curious about what is going on here."
"Ah, them? They are the sacrifice I prepare to preserve the nature around me. I am a Shaman, you see? I am someone who makes sure nature is able to heal and prevent any dark spirits from going on a rampage. I need those animal parts as a sacrifice to make sure that does not happen."
He wipes the blood from his cheek and smiles at me.
"Do you want to learn about Shamanism, my friend?"
I grin a little and press the 'Yes' button. This is it. Shaman is a job class that increases Magic-Oriented Classes' HP, but also increases their mana regeneration. However, while those two are great, the reason why I picked this class is for the fact that this is among the many classes that allow me to summon a companion.
Not only will it increase my HP, but it also lets me summon something that can act as a Tank for myself. It will make my life as a solo player easier in the early game.
"Yes. Please teach me the way of a Druid."
