To the ears of an ordinary person, the voice released by Alwassa would have sounded melodious and enchanting, akin to the fanfare of angelic trumpets.
But to Kawashima Toya, it was a sound thick with malice, madness, and boundless hatred.
[The First Savior of Mankind, The Exalted Sovereign of the Morning.]
[Four millennia past, he clove my form in twain and sealed the sundered halves at the world's furthest ends.]
[In truth, he was a sacred presence walking the earth.]
[Clad in naught but mortal flesh, he brought a God to ruin.]
While Alwassa continued its theatrical, clown-like narration, the First Savior took a heavy step forward.
In an instant, the frozen bedrock of the North Pole trembled violently, groaning under the sheer weight of this King's presence.
[Name: First Sovereign]
[Rank: Demi-God (Peak)]
[Description: The First Savior of Humanity. Once blessed by the Eastern Gods, his strength had long since stepped into the absolute zenith of human potential.]
[If granted enough time, he might have been the first "Human" to ascend to the Divine Throne.]
Unfortunately, Alwassa's appearance had shattered First Sovereign's path to ascension. To this day, no true God had ever been born from the human race.
Toya gazed solemnly at the figure before him. This was a meeting between the First and the Last Savior—and a farewell to the one who had paved the way.
"First Sovereign... Since you belong to the past, allow me to return you to the dust."
ROAR—
A feral roar shook the polar region. First Sovereign's burly figure vanished from sight.
In a split second, wrapped in the twisted, chaotic aura of the Evil God, First Sovereign materialized directly in front of Toya, unleashing a strike channeled with terrifying power.
Toya's expression remained calm as he countered with a strike of his own.
BOOM!
Their attacks collided, sending shockwaves rippling in all directions.
The heavens, the earth, and the sea seemed to scream in unison under the pressure. Everything in the vicinity suffered devastating destruction.
First Sovereign, his eyes pitch-black voids of chaos, attacked relentlessly, using the simplest and most brutal methods to try and crush Toya.
"As expected of the First!"
A moment of carelessness, and Toya was sent flying backward, smashing into the frozen continent like a meteor.
CRASH!
Toya instantly stood up from the crater, shaking off the impact, ready to face First Sovereign's ferocious assault again.
"The power behind each blow... it's not inferior to mine, even with the Third Perpetual Motion Machine boosting my output."
From the void, Alwassa's voice drifted down, full of hatred and exaggerated mockery.
[Behold! The First Savior doth dominate the Last!]
[What path shalt thou tread to pierce the defense of the High Sovereign?]
"You talk too much." Toya was sent flying again, but he stood up from the crater with a disdainful sneer. "If you had fully revived, I might actually be worried."
"But a mere fragmented Evil God? You're still a long way from resurrection."
"By the time you reach the Outside of the World, are you prepared to face Nyarlathotep and Cthugha?"
Toya struggled to block First Sovereign's attacks but maintained a faint smile. "A mere Evil God like you wouldn't understand the bond between Saviors."
"You don't understand what this is."
"This is a passing of the torch. A test from a predecessor to his successor, ensuring I am worthy of entrusting the world to."
"As the Last Savior, naturally, I must respond with the utmost respect."
For this operation to expel the Evil God, he had brought almost his entire arsenal.
The Sword of Promised Victory to save the stars, the Holy Sword of the Sinful Star to destroy them...
The Sword of Promised Victory alone was enough to sweep away all evil. Why hadn't he used it immediately?
It was simply to show his predecessor, First Sovereign, that the Last Savior possessed the strength to carry the weight of this world.
Even if this predecessor had been dead for untold ages.
Toya blocked a flurry of First Sovereign's attacks and chuckled softly. "Senior... it's time for you to rest."
Alwassa's mocking voice came again.
[With thy strength alone, 'tis a thing impossible to vanquish him.]
"The world changes, and time moves forward."
Toya's body surged with a terrifying aura. The atmosphere solidified, and the ground collapsed under the immense pressure.
A boundless, vast pillar of light began to rise into the sky.
"Senior, my apologies."
"The test must end early. What if the Evil God lied about the resurrection time?"
"Although a God would usually disdain lying, it's better to be safe."
The Third Perpetual Motion Machine fired at full power. Power capable of shattering the firmament gathered in Toya's right hand as he punched toward First Sovereign.
BOOM!
The entire North Pole shook violently, as if the tectonic plates were about to disintegrate.
This strike was unprecedentedly powerful, unmatched by anything he had thrown before.
Even the incredibly powerful First Sovereign couldn't withstand it. His physical form instantly exploded, turning into black ash and scattering into the wind.
After successfully sending off the First Savior, Toya looked at Alwassa's indescribable form and smiled brightly. "Your turn."
Alwassa stared at Toya with eyes containing the most primal chaos and madness.
[It shouldst not be so. The High King shouldst ne'er have fallen before thee.]
[I mind me now... time floweth like a river. Thy strength hath surpassed even his.]
"Alwassa, was it? Go have a chat with Nyarlathotep and Cthugha outside."
"I don't have time to play with you anymore."
Toya's body erupted with a brilliant, powerful aura. His arm, gathering the Gift of World-Shattering Power, exploded with an aurora as bright as a star.
This was a magnificent aurora capable of piercing the sky, shattering stars, and leading humanity into a new era.
This time, Toya didn't intend to knock the North Pole landmass away. He aimed directly at the entity itself.
"From now on, the human world won't have to worry about the Evil God Alwassa."
BOOM!
The massive aurora beam pierced through the atmosphere, instantly hitting Alwassa's body. It blasted the entity straight out of the physical plane, pushing it toward the distant cosmos.
It didn't stop there. The world itself seemed to aid Toya, rejecting the foreign entity and expelling Alwassa from its boundaries.
A long time later, the dust settled.
[Ding! World Request Complete.]
[Reward: 200,000 Origin Points have been distributed.]
Toya stood in the massive crater at the North Pole, looking up at the sky in surprise. "Strange. That noisy Alwassa didn't say a single word at the end?"
"Don't villains usually have a monologue before they lose?"
After admiring the desolate scenery of the North Pole for a moment, he departed.
.....
Outside of the World, in the Chaos.
Three Evil Gods gathered together.
At this moment, Alwassa was no longer split in two but had recovered its original form.
A true Evil God.
Nearby, Nyarlathotep and Cthugha snickered.
"Look, it's the Evil God who lost to humans twice."
"I don't want to talk to you."
Alwassa hid in the chaos like a sulking child, avoiding the mockery of its peers.
"Alwassa had been utterly humiliated. A Deity defeated by First Sovereign and Kawashima Toya separately."
.....
Nighttime.
Toya returned to the Trash Fox Estate.
Nyaruko, who already knew the result, welcomed him joyfully. "Darling, you really succeeded!"
