The place was absolutely revolting; the putrid stench, the unstable air… I had to get out of this disgusting creature's entrails. However, the only way to achieve such a feat was to blow it apart from the inside out, by sheer force.
But first, I had lost sight of August's body.
I decided to investigate the monster's interior a bit further to see how different it was from us. I surged electricity from my brain down to my feet to boost my speed and find the remains of the corpse quickly.
In terms of organs, its body was similar to a human's: two kidneys, two lungs, a brain, a pancreas, a full set of intestines… but it had two hearts and two stomachs. Yet, despite having kidneys, it lacked any reproductive organs.
"Where does this bastard pee from? It can clearly drop waste… or does it dump everything out of the same hole?" I laughed out loud. "HAJAJAJA… how repulsive."
I quickly searched both stomachs, but there was no sign of August anywhere. It's likely his body wasn't inside the stomach at all; during this mountain's entry, he must have been flung out beyond the range of its foul maw.
"I'm done poking around this bastard's body… time to go." Destroying the stomach to exit would be harder than it looks and would drain too much of my energy. After all, the core is where any human, monster, or animal is physically strongest, as it's the exact point that levels body pressure and stabilizes movement.
"The weakest point… where I can easily burst through… is the neck, right at the trachea." I sighed. "God, this is boring. It feels like an anatomy class." I made my way toward the base of the neck.
I leaped straight for the trachea. I activated the vibrations in my entire right arm while simultaneously heating it up. Flames began to erupt from my shoulder to my fingertips. I pulled my right arm back, containing the fire and the vibration. I raised my left hand, extending my body's electricity to detect the weakest electrical pulse in its body; I needed to block its regeneration while I tore its throat open from the inside.
Once I pinpointed the weakest flow in its throat, I struck with surgical precision. My right hand hit the trachea, and the throat began to melt like butter, tearing open slowly as the sunlight poured in. The creature let out a scream of pure agony:
—"Ruuuahhhhhhhh!"
The beast roared as I emerged from its neck, lunging toward the nearest solid ground.
I landed on a nearby building, drenched in blood. "Disgusting. Now I'll need new clothes… and I feel a bit lightheaded." That attack took a lot more out of me than I expected; I can't maintain electricity, vibration, and fire all at once for long.
The mountain of a creature collapsed like a broken doll, crushing several buildings. I stood with my back to it as it clutched its throat, trying in vain to stop the massive hemorrhage I'd caused.
I turned toward it, watching its death throes.
"The bastard looks like a cockroach squirming on the ground, HAJAJAJA," I muttered, stripping off my jacket and wiping the blood from my face.
But I knew the wretch wouldn't stay down for long.
"You bastard… I actually liked this jacket, and because of you, I have to toss it," I growled as the mountain began to haul itself back up.
Interesting. It took three minutes for its body to fully regenerate from my blow. The giant beast lowered its head toward me and let out a deafening roar.
—"RAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"— It lashed out its disgusting tongue.
I realized instantly that if even a drop of its spit hit me, I'd stink for the rest of the day.
"Damn you, your breath is foul and your spit is even worse!" I yelled.
Finishing its roar, the creature raised its massive right hand and drew it back while its left foot pivoted. It was ready to level the entire building—and me with it.
In a split second, I expanded my electrical field. My goal: detect the weakest electrical flow in its arm as it attacked and destroy the limb the moment the blow connected.
Simultaneously, I activated the vibration in my left hand and heated my body until flames surged from within again. I cocked my right arm back and began charging both attacks at once.
"Here comes the bastard's attack." I deactivated the electricity just before impact to mitigate the side effects of my combined strike.
The punch slammed into the building with the force of a missile, blowing it to pieces. But for all its size, it was slow compared to my lightning speed. I dodged the blow easily, staying close to its electrical flow. The creature tried to pull its arm back quickly, but…
"Where do you think you're going? Don't think for a second I'll let you open that fist."
"Tempo!" Time ground to a halt. I dashed toward its fist and slammed my own into its electrical flow. The moment I deactivated Tempo, its arm shattered into fragments from the palm all the way to the shoulder.
I landed on the next building, positioned behind the mountain's back.
—"RUUUAAAHHHH!"— The giant roared in pain, clutching its ruined shoulder with its left arm.
Impressive. Despite its size, it accelerated its punch at the last second, forcing me to abandon the building faster than planned. Maybe it used a gust of wind to boost its arm?
I turned around, looking straight at its face. "Sorry, you piece of sh*t… I have to get home or someone's going to be very sad."
—"RAAAAAAAAAHHHH!"— The loudmouth screamed again.
"You're annoying. I don't have time for this anymore… leave or die." I sighed.
Its right arm isn't regenerating like its chest did. My fire ability must have severed the connection to its brain.
Damn it, I'm reaching my limit and I still haven't neutralized it. What do I do?...
I've got it. It has two hearts. I'll pierce one to immobilize it, then use 80% of what I have left to destroy the brain.
I began to heat my body once more until smoke enveloped me and I was covered in fire. My arms and legs began to vibrate. The vibrations in my feet were so violent the building started to crack beneath me.
—"RAAAAHHHHH!"— the bastard roared, closing in on my position.
He looks pissed. It seems he's preparing one final strike. I won't let him.
The giant lunged with the last of its strength. I pulsed, charging my body with electricity to turn myself into a living lightning bolt. I would pierce its chest, heart, and lungs. It would be a blow so devastating the wretch wouldn't have time to react.
"Here I go, with everything: vibration, electricity, and fire at 80%!"
I lunged like a starving predator. The bastard threw his fist with everything he had, but dodging was child's play. I ignored the fist and went straight for the chest. I whipped my left arm forward with the speed of a thunderbolt, both legs driving me forward at the same velocity. I tore through its body as if it were old, dry, rotten wood, landing on the floor of another building behind it.
"God, I'm so sick of punching holes in you. Just die already!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, watching its back from my new vantage point.
The building I was on began to collapse. The sun was just starting to peek over the horizon.
The giant fell to its knees facing the sun, panting heavily. It couldn't move, but there was no sign of imminent death yet... If I left it like this, it would regenerate eventually. I have to finish it!
For the final move, I vibrated so hard the building crumbled under the pressure. I launched myself at its head. The giant, unable to move, looked up at me as the sun blocked its vision and warmed my back.
"Time to send you to hell, bastard!" I grinned, turning my entire body into pure flame and pulsing with everything I had to pierce him like an electric spear.
"Say hi to your friends in hell for me!"
—"RUAH…"— It tried to roar one last time, but I had already punched through its skull.
The giant collapsed, devoid of any life. Its electrical flow went completely dark.
The mountain was finally dead!
