Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: An Annoying Boss

The nightmare is old news. I'm already bored of it. But I can't tell if this is a nightmare overlaying reality or if it's just a dream. So I don't go destructive quickly. I could end up killing innocent people. I can test for it though.

First I try walking through a wall. It works easily, and I am back in reality. He didn't prepare the nightmare that well, it seems. So he cast an illusion over reality. How annoying. I hate mind games like this. He could be invisible at this point.

Game design says to change the map. So I teleport to a open field near where we were. And see from here that he gets annoyed. Enough to where he opens fire with his military on my location. How fucking annoying, I hate artillery. I teleport back outside of the illusory zone.

He charges out of the illusion towards me, covered with a horrific sight that is fake. He's covered in intestines and blood. But there is no smell so he does it merely to scare me.

"What do I look like, a 14 year old girl?" I say sarcastically.

I open fire with both my desert eagles, trying to shoot him to death. The bullets don't even dig deep. How annoying. I replace my guns with two blades. My first blade Katayana and my Master's first blade, the Stone Dagger. A dagger carved from the rock Cain used to kill Abel. It has a unique perk of being able to pierce anything as long as you have the strength to do it.

He gets within slashing distance now. So I fuck him up with a 10 hit combo across his face, throat, and heart as he charges past. When I watch him change back, he becomes a slave soldier that spins around due to electronics under his skin. And charges at me while his bomb collar beeps rapidly. I cut the bomb collar off, but that only serves to trigger it. So now I teleport out the way of the explosion. And am back in the illusion.

This time it is a black void filled with slave soldiers. Soldiers that are being allowed to beg.

"Please beat him."

"Without killing us! Please!"

"Can you even win without more death?" Dictator taunts smugly.

"Probably not. You're dying as well, dictator." I say with cocky malice.

"Not today. I've already left. I need them to be aware you're a monster." Dictator says seriously.

"Great. Then I'm leaving-" I say angrily.

Suddenly a new contestant appears. Without wearing a bomb collar. They wear a SWAT uniform, wielding a shock baton and a sawed off shotgun.

"He isn't as bad as you think he is. All these criminals had their souls read by him. They all deserve death. They are not just civilians to be thrown away like trash." SWAT Soldier says seriously.

"That's neat. I'm still getting paid with his death, so I don't care." I say without a care.

I teleport behind the SWAT guy, and snap his neck with ease. Now he's dead, huzzah. I am the best. The illusions die down, and reveal that I'm still surrounded by slave soldiers. I sigh, annoyed. I sheathe the Stone Dagger, and pull out Zeus's Fang. And go for one cure all to this. An oversurge of electricity across the whole area emanating from my blade.

It does the job. It destroys all their collars' batteries, making them unable to self-destruct. They stare at me, shocked and overwhelmed with respect.

So I leave and head back to August before they swear fealty to me or whatever dumbasses do when saved.
