So I stand outside this military fort August suspects is where are kidnappers put Nathaniel. Based on the fire spread about, smoke plumes, they haven't fully captured him still. That's good, it'll be easier and less embarrassing that way.
I decide to chase the first explosion to go off now that I'm here. ... ... Now, it's that way. I run over at high speeds over that way. And find Nathaniel fighting off a small army of military commandos armed with advanced tech.
"Heh. A bit of a challenge, huh?" I ask warmly.
"Barely." Nathaniel says coldly. "They just have annoying teleporters."
And when he says it, I get teleported elsewhere. Face to face with the dictator of this land. Some fucko with short black hair, a goatee, rocking the red, black, and gold emperor soldier boy look. He wields magical powers empowered by advanced bracelets on his wrists.
"You dare defy me? Who are you to even do that?" Dictator says angrily.
"I'm Jacob Deatrix. A powerful merc." I say with cocky malice.
I decide to go for it. Why not end the mission here? I teleport to his right, and try slicing his head off. But he teleports again to the opposite side of the room. I click my lips, annoyed and amused.
"So teleporter versus teleporter. An annoying mirror match up." I complain.
He snaps his fingers, and the room becomes filled with twenty slave soldiers. Their bomb collars shine brightly from the LED lights on them. I hate this so much. Now I'm in liability town.
"Jacob, I see you're fighting the dictator. Mind considering retreat for now? I know you'll get someone killed if you hang around in this tight of corners." August says warmly.
I take her advice and teleport back to where I was before with Nathaniel here. But he's gone as well. The fight is happening elsewhere. But at least it's an open field. I decide to wait here for a better battle opportunity. Open space means it's easier to dodge shit. And deal with those bomb collars if need be.
He comes back, the dictator does. And he brings his slave soldiers. I decide to respond with a new tool. I bring out my 6th sword, Zeus's fang. A lightning infused dagger made from the bones of Zeus. The Zeus from Chelsea's home dimension. He's still alive, I only cut off his arm. The dagger is a bright yellow with a black edge and white tip. The handle has a black iron crossguard. It's about two feet long.
I will use this to overload the bomb collars. I teleport behind a slave soldier and stab Zeus's fang into the collar. I overload it with electricity, causing a short circuit. It disables the collar which is nice. But-
"Ah, so you're the heroic type? Shame I always have safeguards." Dictator says with cocky malice.
He snaps his fingers. And the collar begins glowing white and gives off the burning singe of radiation. It's radioactive?
I teleport away as it still blows up. How frustrating. A man is dead and I still messed up. How much worse can it get?
"Much worse. I can read your mind too. I can track you across this whole planet now." Dictator says with cocky malice.
I roll my eyes. I fight with my head empty anyway. No big plans here. Let's just do a teleport storm. I teleport behind the Dictator and try stabbing him through the heart by materializing my first blade, my black katana, right where his heart should be. But my blade gets rejected due to his advanced durability, and Katayana shatters into pieces. Great. He's too tough for teleportation kills.
Dictator teleports behind me, and tries putting a collar on me. I teleport behind him. And do a high kick right into his balls. He groans with pain, but remains standing. He snaps his fingers, and all the slave soldiers' collars start beeping.
"Surrender now, or I kill them all." Dictator says through the pain with cocky malice.
I click my tongue, annoyed. And teleport back to August's side for now. August glares at me, annoyed.
"He knows where our base is at now. Jacob, we might not be able to back out of this. Go back and finish it." August complains.
I shrug and teleport back. He has turned off the beeping at least. And hasn't noticed me yet. Good. I steal the oxygen from his lungs. Then I restrain his whole body with air pressure against his entire body while keeping his lungs empty. He spasms through the air, receiving shallow cuts as he struggles to escape.
"This will stop you from using your technology." I say cockily.
He smiles through the pain, and his body goes slack. My wind magic ends up making his body go flying into a wall like a wild coin being thrown against a wall.
And then it happens. I almost saw it coming. The words "Captain Ginyu" hit my mind as I feel him begin to try taking over my mind.
Battles of the mind aren't always my fortitude. Cause against a real psychic, it begins subtly. Or all at once. For now, my surroundings have changed. I am back at my old hometown owned by King Gilgamesh. But it looks when it suffered an attack. A bad one when I was still a student.
"So you're triggering a nightmare to distract me?" I say angrily.
