Chapter 216 - Chapter 219 Combat Experience

  Chapter 219 Combat Experience

Hearing Finney's words, Fandral became even more curious about Finney's magic and asked, "Did you really wipe out the entire Chitauri fleet all by yourself?"

Finney continued watching the battle and casually replied, "To be precise, it was me and the Blue-Eyes White Dragon together!"

"I never imagined magic could be so powerful!"

Hogan remarked, causing Finney to turn and look at him speechlessly. "I have a feeling you guys were influenced by Loki."

"By the way, could you take me to see Loki?"

Finney suddenly asked curiously. He had been in Asgard for several days and hadn't seen Loki yet, only hearing from Sif that he was imprisoned in the most secure dungeon.

  "That requires His Majesty's approval!"

Fandral shook his head. Although they were the Warriors Three, very famous in Asgard, their power wasn't great enough to allow Finney to freely visit a serious criminal.

  "Alright!"

Finney decided to go back and find an opportunity to talk to Thor about this. He had some questions for Loki and hoped that after so much time, Thor wouldn't care about the previous beating.

The four of them stayed in the arena until noon, then went to have lunch together. Asgardians loved to drink; they were practically inseparable from alcohol. Even at

lunch, Finney drank quite a bit with them. During lunch, Finney learned from the three that they might be going on a campaign soon.

  "Where are you going next?"

  Finney asked curiously.

"If nothing unexpected happens, it should be Vanaheim."

Hogan's expression was somewhat worried. Vanaheim was his homeland, and according to the news Thor brought back, some people there had rebelled.

The breaking of the Rainbow Bridge, besides attracting many external enemies, also triggered a lot of internal strife.

Although Asgard claimed to rule the Nine Realms, not everyone recognized it, and not all places were like Earth, where Asgard rarely interfered.

For example, Nornheim, a place within the Nine Realms, didn't want to accept Asgard's rule. So, during the time the Rainbow Bridge broke, they rose up in rebellion and joined forces with other places.

Vanaheim was one of them. As for why no one on Earth led the rebellion against Asgard, it's probably because the Asgardians looked down on Earth's strength.

After lunch, Finney still hadn't succeeded in learning the Treefolk language at the library. The three of them dragged him to the royal palace's training grounds, insisting on a sparring match.

"Are you really sure you want to fight here?"

Amidst the curious onlookers of the Asgardian soldiers, Phineas glanced at the three and challenged them, "Don't worry, with so many people watching, I won't let you lose too badly."

Volstagg, the most hot-tempered of the three, immediately gripped his giant axe and said, "Although we can't beat you at drinking, we won't lose in a fight!"

  "Then let's try it!"

Phineas didn't hesitate. He immediately reached out and summoned the demon-possessed longsword. Then, to the astonishment of the soldiers and the Warriors Three, he grasped it and whispered,

  "Demon Possession!"

The longsword instantly transformed into silver armor, covering his entire body. A white cloak billowed behind him, and the crimson eyes on his visor exuded immense pressure.

Seeing Phine's sudden change in appearance, the Warriors Three were all astonished. Fandral even asked with a troubled expression, "Are you really a mage?"

  "Of course, the real deal!"

Phine nodded, then looked at the three and said, "Who goes first? Or all at once?"

  "I'll go first!"

Volstagg, the most hot-tempered of them all, immediately grabbed his axe and walked over. Seeing Phine's empty hands, he couldn't help but ask, "What weapon are you using?"

"It doesn't matter, this will do!"

Phineas shook his head. As for weapons, he did have a Redback Shrike, but he rarely summoned it because he found it awkward to use.

Hearing Phineas's words, Volstagg thought Phineas was looking down on him, and his beard bristled with anger. He brandished his axe a couple of times and said angrily, "Then don't blame me for bullying you!"

Phineas smiled beneath his mask, beckoning with his index finger, and continued to taunt, "Then come on!"

  "Waaah!"

Volstagg couldn't stand this kind of humiliation and immediately charged at Phineas with his axe.

Although the three were known as the Warriors Three of Asgard, that was compared to the Asgardian soldiers; their actual strength wasn't that great.

But compared to Thor, who possessed divine power and was naturally strong, they relied more on talent and hard work to achieve their current strength.

Volstagg, as one of the Warriors Three, was most famous for his strength, and given his size, Phineas felt he couldn't be very fast.

Seeing Volstagg charging at him with his axe, Finney silently activated his breathing technique. Even a lion uses its full strength to hunt a rabbit, and besides, the more skills he used, the more experience he gained.

Volstagg swung his axe with tremendous force; this axe was meticulously crafted by the dwarves, far inferior to Thor's hammer, but still an extremely precious weapon.

Finney calmly dodged, partly because he was adept at dealing with power-type opponents, and partly because the difference in strength between him and Volstagg was significant.

Having figured out Volstagg's fighting style, Finney began to counterattack. To prove his identity as a mage, he didn't use his fists.

Instead, while dodging, he began chanting 'Explosion Magic'.

"The darkness obscured by light, the explosive flames of the night sky, whatever else is fine, Explosion!"

Finney didn't intend to kill Volstagg, so after chanting a single line with a little seriousness, he directly launched the 'Explosion Magic'!

Although it was only a single incantation, it still had a significant effect. The pillar of fire shot out rapidly from the crimson magic circle, striking Volstagg directly.

Fortunately, he managed to block it with his axe before it hit him, preventing serious injury.

  "Wow!"

Even so, the magnificent 'explosion magic' caused a stir among the surrounding soldiers, who stared at Finney with astonishment.

Finney pressed her advantage, controlling the power of the 'explosion magic' to continue firing at Volstagg. Volstagg, as one of Asgard's finest warriors,

quickly parried the next few 'explosion spells' with his axe, thanks to his exceptional combat experience. Of course, this was also due to Finney's skillful control of the power.

If a 'explosion spell' with the power to destroy a Chitauri soldier had been unleashed, Volstagg would likely have been unable to withstand it no matter how hard he swung his axe.

The battle continued for a while, until finally, as Volstagg gasped for breath, Finney unleashed a powerful 'explosion spell' that sent him flying, securing victory for him.

Although Volstagg had a fiery temper, he wasn't a sore loser and accepted his defeat gracefully.

After getting up, Volstagg looked dejectedly at Finney and asked, "Is this armor also your magic?"

  "Yes!"

Finney nodded, secretly checking the experience he had gained after defeating Volstagg. With his recent rapid increase in strength, using Mordo to measure experience was no longer accurate.

Therefore, Finney decided to use eight hours of skill practice experience per day as a standard unit of measurement before the ninth extraction. (
