Chapter 33 - Chapter 31 the group call

Jay Jay's POV

The mansion was finally quiet.

For the first time since morning.

Which honestly felt suspicious.

After the chaos of shopping, Percy's fashion speeches, Sebastian jumping into the pool, and Aurora and Chloe arguing about which mascara was "dramatic enough," the silence felt almost unnatural.

I stood near the tall glass window in my room, staring out at the London skyline.

Night had completely taken over the city.

Thousands of lights glowed across the buildings like stars scattered over the earth.

Cold February wind pressed softly against the glass.

Behind me, my room looked like a luxury boutique had exploded inside it.

Shopping bags were stacked near the couch.

The wine-red off-shoulder gown hung neatly in the garment bag on the wardrobe door.

Beside it rested the white masquerade mask.

On the table below it sat my elegant heels from Christian Louboutin, their signature red soles glowing under the warm lights.

Tomorrow the others would arrive.

And two days later…

Keifer's masquerade party.

I crossed my arms slowly.

"Let's see how much chaos London can handle."

Right on cue—

My phone buzzed.

Once.

Then again.

Then five notifications in a row.

I frowned.

"Who the hell—"

The screen lit up.

And the moment I saw the name of the call…

A smile appeared before I could stop it.

Justice Veil – Group Call

"Well… look who finally woke up."

I tapped Accept.

The screen instantly exploded with voices.

"JAY!"

"Finally!"

"She's alive!"

"Stop yelling!"

I laughed quietly and sat down on the couch.

The video call filled the screen with familiar faces.

Mia, waving excitedly like she hadn't seen me in ten years.

Adam, leaning lazily in his chair with his usual smug grin.

Sarah, sitting properly with her glasses slightly sliding down her nose.

And Noah, chewing something like he had been summoned mid-snack.

Mia immediately pointed at the screen.

"YOU DISAPPEARED."

Adam nodded dramatically.

"Completely vanished from civilization."

Sarah crossed her arms.

"You didn't reply to the group chat."

Noah swallowed his snack.

"Ghost behavior."

I leaned back comfortably.

"Hello to you too."

Mia narrowed her eyes.

"You've been ignoring us."

"Busy."

Adam smirked.

"Busy?"

He leaned closer to the camera.

"You're in London. Currently sitting in your bedroom in a massive forty five million dollar mansion. "

My eyebrow lifted slowly.

"…How do you know that?"

Noah raised his snack proudly.

"We're the Justice Veil."

Adam nodded.

"Information finds us."

Sarah sighed softly.

"Your location wasn't exactly difficult to track."

I shook my head.

"You people are unbelievable."

Mia grinned proudly.

"But we're right."

I sighed.

"Yes."

Mia clapped excitedly.

"I KNEW IT."

Adam leaned back in his chair.

"So."

He folded his arms.

"London life."

Sarah adjusted her glasses.

"And the masquerade."

I froze for a moment.

"…What about it?"

Adam burst out laughing.

"Oh wow."

Sarah rubbed her forehead.

"She really doesn't know."

I sat up straight.

"Know what?"

Mia leaned toward the camera dramatically.

"We're invited."

Silence filled my room for a second.

"…You're joking."

Noah shook his head.

"Nope."

Adam grinned.

"Invitation arrived yesterday."

Sarah nodded.

"Formal event. Very exclusive."

I blinked.

"You're coming to London?"

Mia smiled brightly.

"We're landing tomorrow."

Adam stretched his arms behind his head.

"Hope London is ready."

Noah laughed.

"Because once we arrive, peace is officially over."

Sarah sighed.

"Poor Jay."

I leaned back against the couch slowly.

"You idiots."

Mia gasped dramatically.

"You missed us!"

Adam pointed at the screen.

"CONFESSION RECORDED."

I rolled my eyes.

"Don't get emotional."

Noah laughed.

"Too late."

Sarah smiled slightly.

"It'll be good to see everyone again."

Adam leaned forward.

"So."

He pointed at the screen.

"You already met the London crew?"

I nodded.

"They're here."

Right at that exact moment—

My bedroom door burst open.

Percy stormed inside dramatically.

"BABY SISTAH—"

He froze when he saw the phone.

"…What is this."

Sebastian appeared behind him.

"What happened—"

He also stopped.

Aurora and Chloe walked in seconds later.

Leo followed calmly.

Percy walked closer to the phone suspiciously.

"…Who are these people."

Mia immediately leaned toward the camera.

"WHO IS THE PRETTY ONE."

Percy gasped.

"Obviously me."

Adam burst out laughing.

"Confidence level: illegal."

Noah pointed at Sebastian.

"That one looks dangerous."

Sebastian smirked.

"You're not wrong."

Aurora waved at the screen.

"Hi!"

Chloe smiled.

"So these are the famous Justice Veil?"

Sarah nodded politely.

"Yes."

Leo crossed his arms calmly.

"Interesting."

Percy leaned even closer to the camera.

"You look like trouble."

Adam grinned.

"I am."

Sebastian laughed.

"This is going to be fun."

Mia clapped excitedly.

"WE'RE MEETING EVERYONE TOMORROW."

Percy flipped his hair proudly.

"Prepare yourselves."

Noah tilted his head.

"For what?"

Percy smiled confidently.

"My beauty."

Everyone on the call went silent for three seconds.

Then Adam burst out laughing.

"Jay."

"Yes?"

"You live with clowns."

I sighed.

"You have no idea."

But watching both sides together—

The mansion gang around me.

The Justice Veil on my phone.

Something about the moment felt right.

Two different worlds.

About to collide.

And when they did…

London would definitely not be ready for the chaos that followed.
