"He's not important," Victor Morgan said. "Are you feeling sick at all right now? We also need to let the production team know as soon as possible. Give me the contact info for the person in charge. I'll handle it."
"It's not like I can't work," Jessie Sterling retorted. "I'm perfectly fine."
Victor couldn't agree with that. The sight of Jessie retching last night had truly given him a scare.
"So it's settled then, you won't be going to the taping next week, right?" Victor asked, seeking confirmation.
Jessie hummed in agreement.
On small matters, she could be a little willful and go against Victor, but on major issues, she knew how to prioritize.
Perhaps it wasn't so much that she knew how to prioritize, but that deep down, she didn't actually resent the child in her belly and subconsciously wanted to protect it.
After brunch, Victor asked Jessie if she was still sleepy and wanted to go to bed, which made her laugh.
