Listening to Caden Lockwood's words, Evelyn Morgan's lips involuntarily curved into a faint smile.
He was asking her not to leave!
So does she...have a reason not to leave again?
"Did you hear me!" Caden Lockwood raised his voice, "No silence allowed, answer me, look into my eyes and tell me you won't sneak away."
"How can that be the case?" Evelyn Morgan laughed even more happily, "I don't say anything, yet you always guess right! It feels like I have no secrets anymore!"
"Because there's no need to overthink, it's clear he'd threaten you." Caden Lockwood narrowed his eyes, his tone rough, "And you, silly woman, must have wavered, right?"
"I haven't wavered at all!" Evelyn Morgan immediately retorted, "Staying by your side, I eat well, sleep well, and have lots of money to spend, I wouldn't choose to leave for no reason!"
Caden Lockwood raised an eyebrow, obviously questioning the authenticity of Evelyn Morgan's words.
