Zeke Veridian was still lost in thought.
When suddenly, a crisp crack sounded from deep within the bamboo forest.
Followed by the thud of something heavy hitting the ground.
"Bang!"
A rustling commotion ensued.
Then Jago emerged from the woods, carrying several thick purple-striped bamboos on his shoulder and a bamboo leaf stuck to his head: "Master, the bamboos are cut!"
Luna didn't even look up at the noise: "Put them aside, and cut twenty more thin bamboo strips, about a finger's width."
Jago set down the purple-striped bamboo, scratching his head: "Master, we don't need this much for just a cradle, do we?"
"Who said I was only making a cradle?"
Her fingers flew, weaving the bamboo strips deftly in her palms. She replied casually, "I'll make a few other things while I'm at it: a bamboo wardrobe, a bamboo table and chairs, a rocking chair, veggie and fruit baskets with drainage, bamboo shelves, storage racks… The cave's a total mess, gotta put things somewhere."
