"Don't rush it." A faint curve lifted at Yusaku's lips. "The real show is only just starting. No, actually, I should say it's already over."
Sato Kosuke: "?"
Then Yusaku swung his hand out and shouted:
"I activate Junk Speeder's effect! When this card is Synchro Summoned, I can Special Summon as many 'Synchron' monsters with different Levels from my Deck as possible!"
"Synchron monsters?" Sato Kosuke accelerated through the bend ahead of him and smiled disdainfully. "A bunch of low-Level small fry. What's the point of summoning more of them?"
"Oh? Is that so?" Yusaku raised his eyes, cold mockery glinting in his gaze. "Then watch carefully and see exactly what those 'small fry' can do."
With that, he revealed four cards from his Deck.
"By Junk Speeder's effect, I Special Summon Level 1 Jet Synchron, Level 2 Assault Synchron, Level 3 Steam Synchron, and Level 5 Wheel Synchron from my Deck in Defense Position!"
A burst of starlight flashed, and four Tuner monsters of different forms appeared on the field.

Sato Kosuke frowned slightly. "Another Synchro Summon?"
The moment his words fell, Yusaku's voice rang out again.
"Then by Steam Synchron's effect, I tune it with Level 5 Wheel Synchron!"
"Synchro Summon! Accel Synchro - Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon!"
As his words fell, the two monsters turned into starlight and shot into the sky.
The next instant, broad wings shining with holy light unfolded behind Yusaku. A silver-white dragon appeared at his back, lifting its proud and magnificent head as it let out an earthshaking roar.

The instant those words fell, sacred light exploded once more, and the silhouette of Stardust Dragon emerged onto the field.

Hearing that, Sato Kosuke's brow furrowed as he realized something was wrong.
Triple Tuning, he understood.
But Quadruple Tuning?
And the Summoning condition was 4 Tuners plus 1 non-Tuner Synchro Monster?
What kind of absurd monster needed conditions like that?
His gaze immediately snapped toward Yusaku's field, and the moment he saw it, his pupils contracted sharply. Yusaku's monsters perfectly met the Summoning requirement.
At that moment, Kazetaro and Kouki also rode up on their Duel Runners.
"1 plus 2 plus 2 plus 3 plus 5." Kazetaro looked at Kouki beside him and grinned. "What do you think he's Summoning?"
Kouki pushed up his glasses. "With Quadruple Tuning, what else could it be? It can only be that one. Honestly, being on the same team as senior brother Yusaku feels amazing. Going first, he can stop the opponent from making a board. Going second, he can still get moving and cover us."
The moment his words fell, Yusaku's voice rang out.
"Watch closely, Sato Kosuke. This is what a real Synchro Summon looks like!"
"I tune my Level 1 Jet Synchron, Level 2 Assault Synchron, Level 2 Formula Synchron, Level 3 Steam Synchron, and Level 5 Junk Speeder!"

The instant the final word fell, all five figures erupted with blinding light at the same time.
Jet Synchron's turbine whipped up a cyan vortex. Assault Synchron's armor burst with crimson lightning. Formula Synchron's gears rippled with pale blue waves. Steam Synchron's smokestack vented a billowing white mist. Junk Speeder dissolved into a rain of silver stars.
Five completely different energies exploded at once, only to be drawn together, wound around each other, and fused by an invisible force in the next instant.
"O crimson star that shines in the heavens! O battle scars engraved upon the earth! Resound, pulse of the soul! Awaken, impulse of destruction! When the four omens gather, let the nova reach its ultimate limit!"
"Accel Synchro!!!"
The sound of the tires grinding across the ground could no longer keep up with the movement of the machine itself. The asphalt on the track was instantly scorched into charred dust, and the wisps of smoke that rose from it were shredded by the raging airflow before they could even drift away.
The air itself seemed to let out a pained wail.
It was not the roar of an engine. Not the howl of the wind. It was the distorted shriek of space being forcibly torn apart.
Yusaku's figure blurred within that impossible speed, as if he might merge with the air itself at any moment. The particles of light around him grew denser and denser until they condensed into a narrow blade of radiance that slashed straight into the sky.
Boom!
Chaos exploded open.
Not like an ordinary blast, but like the thunderous birth cry of a universe.
A pillar of light, a hundred times brighter than the sun, crashed down through the gaps in the clouds and struck Yusaku's Duel Runner head-on.
Within that pillar, the outline of a giant dragon slowly took shape. Its scales were molten crimson. Its bone spikes were black as obsidian. Its eyes burned gold like stars. When its wings spread, it seemed as if they could blot out the entire sky.
At that moment, time across the whole arena seemed to slow to a crawl.
The red-haired boy's pupils reflected that pillar of light piercing heaven and earth, and the contempt on his face had long since been replaced by terror. He had even forgotten to twist the throttle, letting his Duel Runner drift across the track.
Kazetaro and Kouki instinctively clenched their handlebars, their breathing stopping cold.
The players watching the duel, along with the people from Fusion Dimension, all stared with mouths hanging open, unable to make a sound. They could only watch as the pillar of light grew brighter and brighter, until it seemed ready to swallow the entire world whole.
"Come forth!"
Yusaku's roar finally shattered that dead silence.
The pillar of light exploded with a crash. Countless sparks rained down like a meteor shower, and the giant dragon sleeping within that radiance finally broke free from its shackles and slowly opened its eyes under an aura of world-destroying pressure.
"Scarred Hypernova Dragon!!!"
That single roar shattered the frozen stillness.

Looking at the dragon of destruction looming behind Yusaku, Sato Kosuke's pupils shrank violently, and even his breathing hitched.
He knew Red Nova Dragon. He knew Red Supernova Dragon too, and he knew their effects.
But this "Scarred Hypernova Dragon"... he had never seen it before. He had never even heard the name.
And in the instant he was stunned by shock, Yusaku's voice rang across the arena again.
"It's not over yet!"
Before the words had even fully fallen, Yusaku flipped his wrist and revealed two cards from his hand at the same time.
"I activate Killer Tune Clip from my hand, and then I chain the effect of Shining Star Dragon!"
"First, Shining Star Dragon's effect!"
Yusaku's voice suddenly rose, carrying a fearless dominance that cut through the roar of the stadium.
"While this card is in my hand, I can activate it during my opponent's Main Phase! I target 1 Dragon Synchro Monster in my Graveyard, Special Summon this card, then Special Summon that targeted monster with its effects negated! After that, I can Synchro Summon 1 Dragon Synchro Monster using monsters on my field, including this card, as material!"
"The monster I target is Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon in my Graveyard!"

A dragon's roar split the sky with a force that seemed ready to tear the heavens in two. Brilliant golden light surged out like a tidal wave, and a crimson dragon formed from fragments of starlight descended at Yusaku's side.

The two lights intertwined and fused into a soaring beam, and a giant dragon with a body of pure crimson slowly took shape.

A pitch-black dimensional rift split open in the center of the field. Countless twisted black hands reached out from within, accompanied by horrifying screams, as a giant dragon slowly crawled its way out.

The instant Dis Pater landed, Yusaku shot his hand up, his voice carrying the force of someone in total control of the duel. "I activate Scarred Hypernova Dragon's effect, and chain Red Dragon's effect!"
"First, Red Dragon's effect!" Yusaku's eyes shone like blades as he locked onto the Scarred Hypernova Dragon on the field. "I target the Level 12 Scarred Hypernova Dragon on the field, return this card to the Extra Deck, and Special Summon 1 Dragon Synchro Monster!"
The moment he finished speaking, Yusaku gunned the throttle and shot through the bend like an arrow loosed from a bow, one arm raised high.
"Welcome the king's three sages. The crimson star shall never perish. Only fools walk toward destruction. Roaring, raging soul, carve this heaven-sundering moment into eternity!"
"Appear - Red Supernova Dragon!"
Boom!!!
A deafening roar shook heaven and earth, and a crimson pillar of light crashed down like a waterfall from the sky, engulfing the entire arena.
Within that pillar, a giant dragon wreathed in blazing crimson flames burst free from its restraints. Its vast body eclipsed the whole stadium, every scale flowing with annihilating red light. Its eyes burned like twin suns, containing a terrifying power enough to incinerate all things.

Sato Kosuke's pupils shrank to pinpoints, and his face turned deathly pale.
He knew perfectly well that this monster possessed a terrifying effect that could banish everything.
Before he could recover from the panic, Yusaku's voice reached him again, tinged with mocking ridicule.
"Next, I activate Red Supernova Dragon's effect!"
Yusaku guided his Duel Runner into a beautiful drift, shot cleanly out of the bend, and slashed his hand through the air as he gave the command.
"Once during either player's turn, I can activate it! I banish this card and every card on my opponent's field and in their Graveyard, then I Special Summon 1 Red Supernova Dragon from my Extra Deck, treating it as a Synchro Summon!"
"Wh-what?!" Sato Kosuke shook violently, as if struck by lightning, disbelief written all over his face. "All the cards on my field and in my Graveyard get banished? And then it can Special Summon Red Supernova Dragon again?! That's impossible!"
"Impossible?" Yusaku let out a scornful laugh, his tone thick with contempt. "Just because you've never seen a monster before, you assume any powerful effect has to be impossible?"
That taunt hit him right where it hurt, and Yusaku's voice turned razor-sharp.
"By Red Supernova Dragon's effect - banish everything! Then Synchro Summon Red Supernova Dragon!"
Roar!
Red Supernova Dragon let out a savage roar, opened its jaws wide, and spewed forth a torrent of scarlet radiance that ripped through everything in its path.
Blackwing - Nothung the Starlight and Black-Winged Dragon on Sato Kosuke's field, along with every card piled up in his Graveyard, were all swept away by that force, turning into scattered motes of light and flying into the banished zone without leaving so much as a trace behind.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. That effect is insane." Kazetaro looked at Sato Kosuke's completely empty field and could not help laughing. "Now he's done for. His Graveyard resources are gone, and with Blackwings' endurance, there's no way he can keep extending. Though honestly, kind of a waste. If it were me, I'd wait until he built a few more cards first and then cash in for maximum value."
Kouki twisted the throttle, glanced at the ugly, ashen faces of Tanaka and Inoue behind him, and accelerated out of the bend.
"No need. Senior brother Yusaku's banish play is a lot nastier than you think."
"Oh?" Kazetaro raised a brow, suddenly interested. "How so?"
"The Assault Synchron in the Graveyard and the Bystial Dis Pater on the field can both pull banished cards back onto the field." Kouki pushed up his glasses, their lenses reflecting the arena's crimson glow. "That should tell you everything."
