Chapter 204 - Chapter 203

The airflow in the duel arena turned violently restless under the suddenly surging pressure of the duel. An invisible force clashed silently between the two of them, and even the air itself trembled with faint ripples.

"By the effect of Scarred Hypernova Dragon, I Special Summon Red Nova Dragon from my Extra Deck!" Yusaku's voice was steady and forceful, every word carrying unquestionable resolve. His Duel Disk instantly burst with blazing red light, bathing his entire body in crimson shadow.

Before his words had even finished, a scarlet pillar of light slammed straight down from the heavens like an overturned river of stars. The scorching shockwave swept across the entire arena at once, dimming even the stadium lights. At the heart of that pillar, a giant dragon wreathed in crimson hellfire violently tore free from its restraints.

Its vast body blotted out the sky and covered the whole field in an instant. Every scale flowed with a destructive red aura, and its eyes burned like twin blazing suns, throbbing with a horrifying power that seemed capable of incinerating all things.

Red Nova Dragon

Level 12 / Synchro / Dragon / Effect

ATK: 3500

"It's not over yet!"

The thunder of the dragon landing had not even faded when Yusaku flipped up a card from his Graveyard and tapped his Duel Disk to trigger another effect. "I activate the effect of Assault Synchron in my Graveyard. When a face-up Dragon Synchro Monster on my field is Tributed or banished, I can banish this card to Special Summon that monster."

"I just banished Scarred Hypernova Dragon, so now I'll banish Assault Synchron itself and Special Summon Scarred Hypernova Dragon back from the banished zone!"

Another pillar of fire erupted skyward at once. The violent whirlwind whipped Yusaku's coat hard in the wind, and the crimson dragon's roar shook the stadium roof with a deep metallic hum as it emerged from the pillar once more, radiating even greater destructive force than before.

Scarred Hypernova Dragon

ATK: 4500

At the sight of that fire-reborn dragon, Sato Kosuke's already grim expression instantly turned ashen. His fingers clenched so hard around his Duel Disk that his knuckles went white.

Yusaku accelerated hard through the corner on his Duel Runner. When he looked back, his eyes held a casual kind of sharpness. "I'm done resolving my effects. Your turn."

Sato Kosuke's face darkened even further. His field was empty, and all the resources he had built up in his Graveyard had already been wiped out. Only three lonely cards remained in his hand. With those cards, he had no way to establish a proper defense. Worse still, when he glanced at the dragons behind Yusaku, his heart sank.

He knew that monster's effect all too well. The moment he activated a monster effect, Yusaku could chain it and banish all monsters on the field. With that dragon locking down the board, he had no chance to extend at all.

Was this really the end?

Sato ground his teeth in frustration, his thumb rubbing against the edge of his hand. Then a vicious glint suddenly flashed through his eyes. It was not as if he had never faced a Red Dragon Archfiend deck before. The deck had terrifying explosive power, but its defensive resistance was weak, especially against Spells and Traps.

His gaze locked onto one Trap Card in his hand.

If that card resolved, Yusaku would be pinned down next turn. Then, once another turn passed and it was his teammate's turn, they could rebuild their board.

The moment he made up his mind, a dark grin curled across Sato Kosuke's mouth. He sharply accelerated his Duel Runner, overtook Yusaku, and slammed two cards onto his Duel Disk.

"I set two cards and end my turn!"

With two crisp clicks, the two face-down cards floated into place on either side of Sato's Duel Runner, radiating a cold dark gleam.

Yusaku raised a brow, his tone faintly teasing. "That's it? You've already given up resisting?"

"Given up?" Sato turned his face and sneered. "That word doesn't exist in my dictionary. This duel is far from over. You're jumping to conclusions way too early." His eyes swept across the dragons on Yusaku's field, his tone growing smugger by the second. "I know Red Dragon Archfiend decks inside and out. Other than their mass banish effect, they have no negation. They can't stop my Trap Cards."

"As for Bystial Dis Pater..." He glanced at the imposing dragon and scoffed. "Its negation only works on monsters. It does nothing against Spells and Traps!!"

Before his laughter had even faded, Yusaku's indifferent voice cut in.

"Oh? Is that so?"

He casually pointed forward, red light rippling faintly around him.

"Then let me show you the backup plan I kept hidden. The moment you entered the End Phase, I activated Scarred Hypernova Dragon's effect."

The smile on Sato Kosuke's face froze instantly, and his pupils shrank.

With a crisp snap of Yusaku's fingers, Scarred Hypernova Dragon let out a savage roar. It opened its jaws wide, and a raging scarlet torrent surged out like a tidal wave, instantly swallowing Sato Kosuke's two face-down cards. When the crimson flood faded, the two cards had appeared in the banished zone: Threatening Roar and Hallowed Life Barrier.

"No wonder you were so confident," Yusaku said flatly, glancing at the banished cards. "If you had been allowed to activate them, you really might have stalled for a turn. Too bad. You never got the chance."

The moment he finished speaking, he raised his hand again.

"Then I trigger Scarred Hypernova Dragon's follow-up effect and Special Summon another Red Nova Dragon from my Extra Deck!"

Red Nova Dragon

ATK: 3500

The instant the dragon landed, Yusaku declared in a low voice, "My turn. Draw."

The moment the new card entered his hand, he acted without the slightest hesitation.

"I activate the effect of Bystial Dis Pater! I target 1 LIGHT or DARK monster in the banished zone and Special Summon it to my field. I choose Scarred Hypernova Dragon from the banished zone!"

A crimson wave of fire surged up once more, and Scarred Hypernova Dragon returned to the battlefield carrying an aura of total destruction.

Scarred Hypernova Dragon

ATK: 4500

"Next, Scarred Hypernova Dragon, Red Supernova Dragon, and the two Red Nova Dragons all activate their effects together. Their ATK rises by 500 for each Tuner monster in my Graveyard!" Yusaku's voice carried overwhelming pressure. "In my Graveyard, I have Killer Tune Clip, Elfnote Power Patron, Shining Star Dragon, Jet Synchron... a total of ten Tuner monsters!"

"Their ATK all increase by 5000!"

Scarred Hypernova Dragon, ATK: 4500 -> 9500

Red Supernova Dragon, ATK: 4000 -> 9000

Red Nova Dragon, ATK: 3500 -> 8500

Beside Yusaku, Kouki stared at the crushing power on the field, then turned to Kazetaro and muttered in a tone that sounded both helpless and completely unsurprised, "With Bystial Dis Pater plus these four Nova Dragons, the total ATK is already 38,500. That's way beyond his 24,000 Life Points. Feels like there's nothing left for the two of us to do."

Kazetaro nodded blankly, his eyes fixed tightly on the four dragons. "Nothing left to do? This isn't even close anymore. It's a total steamroll. This is over."

Across the field, Sato Kosuke stared at the four dragons behind Yusaku, their ATK skyrocketing as their overwhelming aura flooded the arena. His face had gone paper-white, and his body trembled uncontrollably. He muttered to himself in a broken voice full of collapse and disbelief.

"No way... that's impossible..."

The two teammates behind him were completely stunned as well. The situation had reversed too fast. One second ago, it looked like there was still some room to fight back. The next, their captain had already been cornered beyond escape. They did not even get the chance to support him before everything collapsed in front of their eyes.

Yusaku did not waste another word. His voice turned ice-cold as he directly declared the course of the duel.

"Battle Phase. First, both Red Nova Dragons, attack directly!"

The two dragons wreathed in crimson hellfire threw back their heads and roared at the same time, firing two blazing red torrents that streaked through the air like meteors and smashed straight into Sato Kosuke's Duel Runner. Sparks exploded across the machine in an instant.

Sato Kosuke, LP 24000 -> 7000

"The duel is over." Yusaku's voice was cold as ice. "Scarred Hypernova Dragon, direct attack!"

The giant dragon unleashed an earthshaking roar. All the crimson hellfire around its body gathered into its jaws, condensing into a scarlet torrent far greater than the last. It tore across the sky like a falling star and pierced straight through Sato Kosuke's Duel Runner.

The machine instantly lost control. Rider and vehicle were both hurled away by the impact, skidding across the ground in a long blackened trail before crashing heavily into the arena barrier with a dull, violent boom.

"Gahhhhhh!!"

Sato Kosuke, LP 7000 -> 0

The instant the duel ended, the duelists watching the broadcast exploded with excitement and were just about to leap to their feet and cheer when a cold, heavy voice suddenly thundered across the entire arena, crushing all the noise beneath it.

"Looks like I really can't underestimate you."

Everyone froze for a second and looked up into the sky.

There, a massive dark vortex had appeared out of nowhere. A giant machine resembling an ancient mechanical demon slowly descended from it. When it landed, the impact rang out with a muffled crash that sent cracks spidering across the ground.

Standing atop the machine was a heavily built man in Fusion Dimension uniform. He leaped down, and the moment he landed, his gaze swept over the field like a hawk's.

With his appearance, countless members of Fusion Dimension poured in from every direction. The sea of black-clad figures instantly surrounded the arena completely, radiating murderous intent.

Kai stared at the burly man, his pupils shrinking as he blurted out in shock, "One of the Four Heavenly Kings!"

The man paused slightly, then turned toward Kai, a proud smile curling at the corner of his lips.

"So there's still someone here who knows me. Seems my reputation is pretty impressive after all."

His gaze then locked onto Yusaku. He pressed one hand to his chest and gave a shallow bow, his tone carrying lofty scrutiny.

"Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Kuchiki Genya, one of Lord Z-ARC's trusted generals, and one of the Four Heavenly Kings."

After saying that, he tossed the cards he had picked up toward Yusaku.

"...Lord Z-ARC thinks highly of your strength," Genya said, stepping forward. "Have you considered joining him? Once Lord Z-ARC is unsealed, we will sweep through every dimension. When that happens, the entire multiverse will belong to us."

After catching the Deck, Yusaku glanced at him. "If you're here to hand me another Deck the way Sato Kosuke did, then you're welcome. If it's anything else, I'm not interested."

"I knew you'd say that." Genya was not angry at all. Instead, he laughed and raised his Duel Disk. "I've already wiped out the remnants of Synchro Dimension. You are the last group left. So let's play a game. Best three out of five. If you win, we withdraw from Synchro Dimension immediately. If you lose, your power will become nourishment for Lord Z-ARC."

He paused, then added in a tone full of mockery, "And one more thing. I decide who goes first in every duel."

"That's not fair!" one of the duelists behind Kai shouted angrily.

"Fair?" Genya let out a scornful laugh, his eyes full of contempt. "Fairness is something you earn with strength. Clearly, none of you qualify. Otherwise Xyz Dimension wouldn't have fallen so quickly. Besides..." His tone suddenly turned feverish. "To become part of Lord Z-ARC's power is an honor!"

He looked at Yusaku again, openly provocative.

"Well? Do you dare accept? Of course, you can refuse. I know you're strong. But no matter how strong one person is, how many consecutive duels can you really survive?"

"Senior brother, don't agree to this! It's not fair!"

"Right! Worst case, we just fight them head-on!"

The apprentices from Takeuchi Dojo and the duelists behind Kai all tried to stop him, but Genya paid them no attention. He simply watched Yusaku with a smile and waited for his answer.

The corner of Yusaku's mouth lifted slightly, and his tone carried a trace of amusement.

"Best three out of five sounds pretty boring. How about we raise the stakes?"

"Oh?" Genya lifted a brow, curiosity flashing in his eyes. "What kind of stakes?"

"A Shadow Game," Yusaku said calmly.

Genya's smile vanished at once, and his brow tightened. He knew the rules of a Shadow Game very well. The loser's soul would be completely devoured by darkness.

Seeing him hesitate, Yusaku spoke slowly.

"What? Scared?"

"What would I be scared of?" Genya snorted coldly, competitive fire flaring in his eyes. "A Shadow Game needs special conditions to activate. Do you even have that kind of power?"

"That's none of your concern." Yusaku snapped his fingers. The Millennium Puzzle hanging on his chest immediately lit up with a golden glow, and ancient patterns flowed across its surface with mysterious power. "With a Millennium Item, that's enough to start a Shadow Game. If there's nothing else you need to prepare, we can begin now."

Genya's face darkened. He said no more. His Duel Disk snapped open, and his Deck slid firmly into place.

"Then let's do it!"

Yusaku opened his Duel Disk as well and pushed his Deck into position with a flick of his fingers. The two of them shouted at the same time:

"Duel!"

Yusaku, LP 8000

Kuchiki Genya, LP 8000

"So?" Yusaku folded his arms. "Are you taking first or second?"

Hearing that, Genya smiled faintly. "I'll be generous and give you a chance to warm up. In the first duel, you can go first."

At those words, the onlookers could not help clicking their tongues in disgust.

"'Warm up'? What a joke. He just knows senior brother Yusaku already finished one duel, so he wants to deny him any rest by making him go first."

"Or maybe he's playing a going-second Deck. Fusion Dimension people are famous for fighting dirty."

"What's the point of saying all that? For senior brother Yusaku, does first or second even matter? We've watched him long enough to know. It makes no difference to him. Even going second, he can still build a board during the opponent's turn."

On the field, Yusaku laughed softly after hearing Genya's choice.

"You're sure?"

Genya folded his arms and smiled with complete confidence. "A man's word is his bond."

"Then as you wish."

"Then I'll take the first turn."

With a clean, decisive motion, Yusaku drew his opening hand and looked up at Kuchiki Genya across from him.

"Ready. Main Phase."

As soon as the words fell, he swept his gaze over his hand, thought for a brief moment, then flicked out a card with calm precision.

"First, I activate the Spell Card Pot of Greed. By its effect, I draw 2 cards from my Deck."

After stating the effect, Yusaku looked straight at Genya. "Any response?"

Genya glanced at the Quick-Play Spell in his hand, faintly glowing with dark light, and curled his lips into a flippant smile. "No response. It resolves."

"No response?"

Yusaku's eyes brushed over Genya's hand, and a faint, cold smile tugged at his mouth. "Then I won't hold back." Before the words had fully faded, he had already drawn two cards. "That resolves Pot of Greed."

With the new cards in hand, Yusaku gave them one glance, then immediately slapped down another card in one seamless motion.

"I Normal Summon Samsara D Lotus!"

The instant the card slid into his Duel Disk, the ground split open with a black crack. A gorgeous pink lotus slowly rose out of the fissure, its petals glistening with crystal-clear dew.

Samsara D Lotus

Level 1 / Fiend / Effect

"I activate Samsara D Lotus's effect!"

Yusaku's voice sharpened at once, carrying unquestionable resolve.

"I Tribute this card, and Special Summon 1 Yubel monster from my Deck!"

The pink lotus instantly dissolved into a shower of light. In the next second, a slender figure slowly took shape within the drifting particles, arms folded as faint dark energy coiled around her.

Spirit of Yubel

Level 10 / Fiend / Effect

ATK: 0

Yubel?

Looking at the monster with 0 ATK on Yusaku's field, Genya let out a mocking laugh, his eyes full of disdain. Folding his arms, he sneered, "I wondered what kind of Deck you were using. Turns out it's this third-rate garbage."

"I already looked into your list before this duel."

Genya's gaze swept over Yusaku's field.

"The monsters in your Deck basically all have zero ATK. It's just a cheap scam Deck that specializes in going second and baiting attacks. It can't build a real board at all. And you actually dared to use it going first? Then I've got this turn completely locked down."

Yusaku only gave him a calm glance, amusement hidden in his tone. "You don't actually think the Yubel Deck only knows how to bait attacks, do you?"

"Doesn't it?" Genya sneered, the contempt in his eyes growing even stronger.

The smile on Yusaku's lips widened. "Then open your eyes and watch carefully. It does more than just bait attacks. It can send you straight to the grave, too."

With that, he snapped his fingers.

"I activate Spirit of Yubel's effect. If this card is Special Summoned, I can add 1 Spell or Trap that mentions 'Yubel' from my Deck to my hand, or Set it on my field."

"I choose the Continuous Spell Nightmare Pain!"

The searched card hit his hand, and Yusaku did not hesitate for even a second before slamming it onto the Duel Disk.

"I activate the Continuous Spell, Nightmare Pain!"

With a soft hum, the Spell Card turned into glowing sigils in front of Yusaku, dark light rippling across its surface as its effect took hold instantly.

Then he drew and played another card in one smooth motion.

"I activate the Spell Card Fiendsmith's Sanct! Its effect lets me add 1 LIGHT Fiend monster from my Deck to my hand, then discard 1 card."

"I add The Fabled Lurrie from my Deck to my hand, then discard it straight to the Graveyard!"

The moment the card hit the Graveyard, Yusaku's voice rang out again, leaving his opponent no chance to breathe.

"At this moment, The Fabled Lurrie's effect activates! When this card is discarded from the hand to the Graveyard, it must activate, and Special Summon itself!"

"So you're running the Fiendsmith package? I did remember that much."

Genya suddenly chuckled and slowly revealed a card from his hand, his tone tinged with mockery.

"That engine does have strong resource cycling. Too bad that only matters if you actually get to bring your monsters out, and you won't."

As his words fell, the small form of a girl in a formal dress suddenly appeared on the field. She spun once around Yusaku's Graveyard, pale blue energy sweeping through it, and The Fabled Lurrie's effect was instantly erased and silenced.

"So much for 'no response.' What the hell is that Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit supposed to be?!"

"Fusion Dimension people really have no bottom line. Being shameless is basically second nature to them!"

"He can't win fairly, so he has to pull this?"

The spectators around the field erupted at once, taunts and jeers flying in every direction. Meanwhile, the onlookers from Fusion Dimension remained completely unfazed, as though this kind of play were perfectly natural.

On the field, Yusaku looked at The Fabled Lurrie, now negated in the Graveyard, then raised his eyes to Genya. His voice had turned noticeably colder.

"So this is what you meant by having no hand traps?"

"It's just strategy." Genya smiled faintly, without the slightest trace of shame. "The rules of a duel never say I'm not allowed to lie. Think of it as teaching you not to trust anything too easily."

"My effect is done resolving." He folded his arms and looked Yusaku over with a mocking smile. "Your Yubel Deck was already weak at extending. I'm guessing that Fiendsmith line was your only real combo route. Now that I cut it off, let's see how you plan to keep playing."

"I figured you were hiding hand traps all along. That rotten streak is carved into Fusion Dimension's bones."

Yusaku's tone was icy with contempt as he looked straight at him.

"You wanted to see me combo? Then keep your eyes open and watch. Watch how you, step by step, walk yourself into your own death."

The moment the words fell, Yusaku shouted sharply:

"I activate the effect of the Continuous Spell on the field, Nightmare Pain!"

He raised the Yubel card in his hand, voice crisp and decisive.

"I destroy the Yubel in my hand, and add Gruesome Grave Squirmer, a card that mentions 'Yubel,' from my Deck to my hand!"

The searched card had barely touched his fingers before his next line followed without a break.

"Then I activate the effect of the Yubel that was just destroyed by card effect and sent to the Graveyard!"

"When this card is destroyed by an effect, I can Special Summon 1 Yubel - Terror Incarnate from my hand, Deck, or Graveyard!"

A roar that seemed to split heaven and earth tore through the space. A dreadful pressure of darkness instantly smothered the arena. Behind Yusaku, a two-headed demonic dragon slowly took shape, its massive body covered in dark scales, a giant eye set atop its head. As its wings beat, violent gusts swept the field and twisted the glowing patterns in the air.

Yubel - Terror Incarnate

Level 11 / Fiend / Effect

ATK: 0

"It still isn't over! I activate the effect of Gruesome Grave Squirmer in my hand!"

Yusaku's voice cut forward like a blade.

"During either player's turn, if I control a Fiend monster, I can Special Summon this card from my hand, then I can destroy 1 Yubel or 1 monster that mentions it on my field!"

"I meet the activation condition, so I Special Summon Gruesome Grave Squirmer!"

A wave of ghostly blue particles flashed, and a monster wrapped from head to toe in bandages, like a mummy, slowly appeared on the field, surrounded by a chilling aura.

Gruesome Grave Squirmer

Level 1 / Fiend / Effect

ATK: 0

"By Gruesome Grave Squirmer's effect, I destroy Spirit of Yubel on the field!"

At once, Spirit of Yubel exploded into a sky full of light and vanished from the field.

"This is the exact moment!"

Yusaku's voice rose sharply.

The effect of the destroyed Spirit of Yubel activated in the Graveyard.

"When this card is destroyed, I can Special Summon 1 Yubel from my hand, Deck, Graveyard, or banished zone!"

"I Special Summon Yubel from my Deck!"

Yubel

ATK: 0

"At this moment!"

Genya suddenly burst into wild laughter, a look of absolute certainty flashing through his eyes. He yanked a card from his hand and slammed it onto his Duel Disk, his voice nearly manic.

"During either player's Main Phase, if your opponent has Normal or Special Summoned 5 or more monsters this turn, Tribute as many face-up monsters on the field as possible, Special Summon this card from your hand, then Special Summon 1 Primal Being Token to your opponent's field!"

Boom!

A deafening explosion erupted across the arena. A horrifying shockwave of energy spread outward from the center of the field in every direction. The three monsters on Yusaku's field, under the absolute force of the falling meteor, dissolved instantly like frost under the midday sun. They did not leave behind even the slightest trace.

After tributing all monsters on the field, Genya looked at Yusaku and laughed even harder.

"The ATK of the Primal Being Token is based on the combined ATK of the opponent's tributed monsters! But every monster on your field had 0 ATK, so this token's ATK is also zero!"

Primal Being Token

ATK: 0

He folded his arms, his tone dripping with smug contempt.

"I already know your Yubel Deck inside and out. Most of its monster effects are once per turn by card name. You've already used up most of your effects, and now every monster on your field has been tributed away. Let's see how you're supposed to build a board now."

"Why wouldn't I be able to?"

Yusaku's voice was calm, but it carried a force that made people shiver. He looked up at Genya with a smile full of certainty.

"It wasn't for nothing that I deliberately built my board in such an abnormal way, just to lure out all your interruptions. Now, the real game starts."

Genya's smile instantly stiffened.

"I activate the other effect of Gruesome Grave Squirmer in my Graveyard!" Yusaku shouted. "I banish this card from my Graveyard to activate it. Then I Special Summon 1 Fiend monster from my hand or Graveyard, other than this card, with 0 ATK and 0 DEF!"

"I banish Gruesome Grave Squirmer and Special Summon Samsara D Lotus from my Graveyard!"

Samsara D Lotus

ATK: 0

"Next, Fusion Summon!"

Yusaku raised a card from his Extra Deck, his tone utterly decisive.

"I return Yubel - Terror Incarnate and Yubel in my Graveyard to the Deck as Fusion Material, and Fusion Summon from my Extra Deck, Phantom of Yubel!"

"Come forth, Phantom of Yubel!"

The moment the words fell, two black shadows of monsters howled out of the Graveyard, dragged together by an invisible force into the Fusion vortex that suddenly opened above them.

In the next instant, a pale golden light, gentle yet deeply eerie, burst from the vortex. A brand-new form of Yubel slowly descended onto the field.

Phantom of Yubel

Level 9 / Fiend / Fusion / Effect

The moment the monster hit the field, Yusaku's next line followed immediately.

"I use Phantom of Yubel and Samsara D Lotus on the field as Link Material!"

"Link Summon, Link-2, Moon of the Closed Heaven!"

The two monsters instantly transformed into streams of brilliant light and shot into the Link Arrows forming overhead. In the next moment, the arrows lit one by one, and a black-haired girl in a dark dress slowly descended from the Link Circuit, her waist-length hair flowing as an icy, underworld-like aura clung to her body.

Moon of the Closed Heaven

Link-2 / Fiend / Link / Effect

ATK: 1200

Seeing this Link Monster appear on the field, Genya's pupils shrank at once.

"Moon of the Closed Heaven?!"

"You didn't seriously think a single Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit and Nibiru, the Primal Being..." Yusaku gave him a flat glance, his mockery completely undisguised, "...would be enough to stop me, did you?!"

With that, he swept out his hand and shouted:

"I use Moon of the Closed Heaven as Link Material!"

"Link-1, Fiendsmith's Requiem!!!"

The black-haired girl instantly turned into dazzling light and flew into the Link Circuit. The single Link Arrow flared to life, and a massive black mechanical coffin slowly descended from above, wrapped in a dense, sinister aura like something that could swallow all life.

Fiendsmith's Requiem

Link-1 / Fiend / Link / Effect

ATK: 600

"I activate Fiendsmith's Requiem's effect!" Yusaku thrust out his hand and shouted. "During either player's Main Phase, I can Tribute this card and Special Summon 1 Fiendsmith monster from my hand or Deck!"

"I Tribute Fiendsmith's Requiem and Special Summon Lacrima the Crimson Tears from my Deck!"

The enormous mechanical coffin instantly broke apart into drifting particles of light. In the next second, a succubus-like girl with a graceful, alluring figure slowly appeared on the field, faint red mist coiling around her and warping the glowing patterns wherever it passed.

Lacrima the Crimson Tears

Level 4 / Fiend / Effect

ATK: 1200

"When Lacrima the Crimson Tears is Normal or Special Summoned, its effect activates. I send 1 Fiendsmith card from my Deck to the Graveyard, except itself! I choose Fiendsmith Engraver!"

The moment the card hit the Graveyard, Yusaku immediately revealed Fiendsmith Engraver there and spoke again.

"I activate Fiendsmith Engraver's effect! While this card is in the Graveyard, I can return 1 other LIGHT Fiend monster in my Graveyard to the Deck or Extra Deck, then Special Summon this card!"

He immediately revealed another card in his Graveyard, his tone sharp and final.

"I return the Link-2 Moon of the Closed Heaven from my Graveyard to the Extra Deck, and Special Summon Fiendsmith Engraver from the Graveyard!"

Fiendsmith Engraver

Level 6 / Fiend / Effect

ATK: 1800

As soon as the monster hit the field, Yusaku did not pause for even an instant. He revealed another card in his Graveyard.

"I activate the effect of Fiendsmith's Sanct in the Graveyard. I banish this card to activate it, then Fusion Summon 1 Fiendsmith Fusion Monster using monsters from my hand or field as material!"

"I banish Fiendsmith's Sanct, and send Fiendsmith Engraver and Lacrima the Crimson Tears on my field to the Graveyard as Fusion Material!"
