Central Plains
The air was thick with a suffocating evil aura.
Perfect Cell, now in his Ultimate Lightning state, stood at the center of the plains with his arms crossed.
Golden lightning crackled violently around his body—far more terrifying than during the Cell Games.
A figure descended from the sky and landed calmly before him.
It was Gohan.
"I've been waiting for you for a long time, Gohan."
Cell grinned, baring his teeth in a vicious smile.
"Didn't expect this, did you? We meet again."
"Come on. Let me see how much you've improved over the years."
His voice dripped with provocation.
The newly revived Cell was desperate for a satisfying battle.
Gohan didn't respond.
He was no longer the boy who lost control to anger.
He had people to protect.
A life—and happiness—he was determined to defend.
There was no time to waste on trash crawling out of Hell.
"Cell."
"You should go back."
The instant the words fell—
A completely different aura awakened from within Gohan.
A strand of black hair slipped down over his forehead.
Mystic Form.
Full potential—unleashed.
The smile on Cell's face froze.
Gohan looked unchanged.
Yet the pressure radiating from him felt overwhelming.
"This… what is this…?"
Cell's voice trembled.
"Impossible… your ki… why is it like this…?"
Gohan didn't answer.
His figure vanished.
Cell's pupils shrank violently.
Too fast!
He couldn't even follow the movement!
A hand gently pressed against Cell's hardened chest plate.
Crack—!
A sharp, brittle sound echoed.
Cell lowered his head in disbelief.
A clear handprint had formed on his chest.
His supposedly indestructible bio-armor fractured with spiderweb-like cracks.
"Ugh…!"
The pain hit a moment later—exploding through his nerves.
"It's over."
Gohan calmly drew his hands to his waist.
"Kamehameha!"
Brilliant blue light gathered in his palms.
The sheer pressure made Cell's blood run cold.
"No!!"
"I am perfect!"
"I am the ultimate life form!!"
Cell roared in desperation, forcing all his power forward and assuming the same stance.
"Die!!"
Dark purple energy surged violently in his hands.
"HAA—!!!"
Two beams of energy clashed head-on.
There was no stalemate.
Gohan's blue beam crushed forward with absolute dominance, instantly devouring Cell's attack.
"Impossible…"
Those were the last words Cell ever spoke.
Blue light swallowed him completely.
Cell—eradicated.
Another Battlefield
Amid the ruins of a city reduced to rubble—
Goku stood facing several all-too-familiar figures.
Frieza.
King Cold.
And the Ginyu Force, striking their signature ridiculous poses.
"Oh ho ho ho…"
Frieza laughed arrogantly.
"Son Goku! We meet again!"
"We've crawled out of Hell once more!"
The Ginyu Force struck an even more embarrassing group pose.
Goku looked at them and sighed calmly.
This wasn't the time for games.
The chaos in the Underworld was the true problem.
He needed to end this quickly.
"Ah—!"
Golden ki erupted skyward.
Lightning crackled violently around him.
Super Saiyan Two!
"What… what kind of power is this…?"
Before Frieza could react—
Goku vanished.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Five dull impacts rang out.
The Ginyu Force didn't even have time to scream before being instantly killed.
King Cold turned pale and fled.
A flash of golden light.
His body was sliced cleanly in half.
Only Frieza remained.
"You… you monster…"
"Time to go, Frieza."
Goku raised one finger. A point of golden light gathered.
"Goodbye."
The light flashed.
Frieza vanished.
Battle over.
Goku was about to relax—
"GOKU!!"
King Kai's panicked voice rang in his mind.
"Can you hear me?!"
"I hear you."
"You must deal with the source of this chaos!"
"Otherwise it will never end!"
"Even if you defeat them now, they'll revive again!"
"I understand."
Goku cut off the communication, his expression grim.
Capsule Corporation
Vegeta and Gohan arrived almost simultaneously.
The three exchanged glances.
"Looks like you two finished as well."
Vegeta snorted.
"Kakarot, explain."
Goku briefly relayed King Kai's words.
"The Underworld's order has collapsed?"
Gohan frowned.
"Then we must go there immediately."
"But we're alive," Vegeta said coldly. "How do we even get there?"
Goku paused—then smiled.
"I know someone."
"Follow me."
Baba's Palace
Deep in the desert stood a palace filled with strange mysticism.
Fortune Teller Baba's Crystal Palace.
Baba sat atop her crystal ball, as if she had been waiting all along.
"Heh heh heh…"
"I knew you'd come sooner or later."
Goku scratched his head awkwardly.
"Baba, please."
"We need to go to the Underworld."
She exhaled a ring of smoke.
"Considering how many times you've saved the world…"
"I'll give you a free trip."
The crystal ball glowed brilliantly.
Light enveloped Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan.
"Go."
"The mess down there is yours to clean up."
Their figures faded into the light.
