Just when he thought his peaceful days would return, another event occurred. One calm day, a heavy pressure settled over the whole mountain, accompanied by dark thunder clouds. Chakor looked up at the sky and saw a large mouth. Remembering his dream, he became frightened and flew straight up. Once in the air, he saw the creature whose mouth he had glimpsed from the ground. It was a strange reptilian being, miles long, with a mouth several meters wide.
He didn't know what this creature was called, but the humans living on the mountain kneeled before it, calling it a "Dragon." Chakor did not like this creature. Its large mouth reminded him of his nightmare. Still, he needed to approach it for a closer look.
He moved toward the dragon. Massive was an understatement; it was larger than many peaks of the Azure mountains combined. But that wasn't his only concern. The pressure the dragon released was unlike anything he had ever seen on Earth. It felt like a calm ocean hiding a storm underneath.
When he finally stood before the dragon, he tried to communicate. He asked politely to avoid angering it, "Can I know who this esteemed guest is?" The dragon noticed him, and with surprise in its eyes, it replied without moving its mouth, as if its voice echoed in Chakor's mind, "WHAT A SURPRISE! I DID NOT EXPECT A NATIVE BEAST OF THIS BACKWATER TO REACH THIS LEVEL OF STRENGTH. LITTLE BIRD, YOU ARE STRONG. BECOME MY SLAVE AND I WILL BESTOW UPON YOU THE SUPREME BLOODLINE OF DRAGONS. YOU WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO BECOME A DRAGON IN THE FUTURE."
Chakor felt confused by the dragon's sudden offer but disliked the idea of becoming a slave. As a bird that had survived many experiments and flown all the way to the moon, he valued his freedom more than anything. So he asked again, this time more seriously, "I asked who you are and what you want."
The dragon frowned at his question and replied, "PUNY LITTLE MORTAL, HOW DARE YOU ASK ME A QUESTION? IF YOU WANT TO KNOW, THEN LET ME TELL YOU. I AM GREAT GULLNOR, THE HEIR OF THE FIVE-CLAWED TRUE DRAGON CLAN. MY CLAN AND MY LINEAGE ARE BEYOND YOUR COMPREHENSION. FOR ME AND MY KIND, THIS WORLD IS JUST A SPECK OF DUST IN THE LOWER COSMOS. IF I USE MY FULL STRENGTH, I COULD WIPE THIS WORLD OUT, BUT IT IS YOUR FORTUNE THAT I TOOK A LIKING TO IT."
The dragon's words dripped with arrogance. Chakor didn't understand the true meaning of clan and backing. Even with his knowledge of human culture, he couldn't imagine life outside this world. Humans had conducted extensive research but had never found anything beyond their realm. Yet here was this creature claiming that this world was insignificant to him.
Despite his confusion, Chakor maintained his composure and asked, "What do you want?"
Gullnor became even more displeased with his inquiry. He said, "MORTAL, YOU ARE REALLY CROSSING YOUR LINE. HOW DARE YOU QUESTION ME? SOMEONE LIKE ME IS BORN TO RULE. I AM HERE TO TAKE CONTROL OF THIS WORLD. YOU HAVE ALREADY DISPLEASED ME, BUT AS A BENEVOLENT BEING, I OFFER YOU ANOTHER CHANCE TO KNEEL AND BECOME MY SLAVE."
Chakor still couldn't fully grasp what this being was saying. He had no interest in becoming a slave. Freedom was vital to him, so he rejected Gullnor's offer. Angry at the rejection, the dragon did not speak but attacked him instead. Preparing for a confrontation, Chakor retaliated, but the result was devastating. He lasted less than a minute against the dragon and was defeated easily.
His strong body lay in ruins; one wing was completely destroyed. Yet, thanks to his incredible speed, he managed to escape. More painful than his wounds was the loss of his home. Another creature now occupied his mountain, and he felt powerless to do anything about it.
As he flew away from the dragon, who could have killed him at any moment, he was surprised when the creature did not follow after several hundred miles. He decided to rest at a pond thousands of miles from his home. His presence alone kept any beasts that might approach at bay.
Then, he heard voices in his head. Initially alert, he listened as the voice identified itself as the will of this world—essentially, the soul of the world. The voice recounted every event in his life from birth to the present, as if it had been with him all along, and Chakor began to trust it. He felt a strange connection to this voice.
It informed him that Gullnor was a foreign invader seeking to take control of this world. It explained that he was at the peak of the Void Refining Realm without any formal cultivation; his extraordinary strength and speed were natural. The voice described him as an anomaly since no one could gain strength that quickly without practicing a technique. He was creating his own path to power.
The voice also detailed the dragon's status. It claimed Gullnor was far beyond any realm known to this world, possibly in the Immortal realm. However, due to universal and local laws, he was currently limited to the peak of the Body and Soul Integration Realm.
The voice revealed that beings of Gullnor's strength shouldn't normally enter a world like Blue Star, which was still in its early stages of evolution. However, a strange artifact containing a piece of Heavenly Dao allowed him to bend the laws of this world, enabling his entry.
Presently, Gullnor's reach only extended a few hundred meters from the mountain range, but he could eventually expand it, gaining his full strength and control over this world's laws.
When Chakor asked what the dragon aimed to achieve, the voice explained that Gullnor practiced a forbidden cultivation technique that required laws as materials to forge his body. If Gullnor's plan succeeded, he would extract the laws of this world and its core for his own purposes. In short, he wanted to consume and devour this entire world as a resource for cultivation.
