Chapter 151 - The bird who defied Heavens-3

The voice explained that the dragon was using a forbidden technique that required laws as material to form its body. If Gullnor's plan went well, he would extract the laws of this world along with its core for cultivation. In short, he aimed to consume this whole world as a resource for his growth.

Chakor began to understand the situation better. He felt a strong desire to save this world from the dragon. He asked the voice how he could defeat the dragon and save the world. The voice responded with a hint of joy, as it also wanted Chakor's help. Humans, as the apex predators of this world, hadn't reached the level necessary to confront the dragon.

The voice, or the will of the world, told Chakor that he needed to gain strength quickly before the dragon fully unleashed its power. To do this, the voice had a plan and mentioned that Chakor would need support from several people to achieve victory against the dragon.

Following the guidance of the voice, Chakor started by hunting various beasts that threatened humans. He first went to small settlements at risk of being destroyed by the beast tide. At this point, Chakor had healed a bit and regained half of his strength. He easily defeated all the beasts; people only saw a blur as the beasts were struck down.

Chakor had become a terror—like a bird that reached the peak of its species and evolved beyond it. He then helped humans gain a foothold against the first wave of the cataclysm. The plan of the world's will aimed to help humans adapt to spiritual energy, turning them into a fighting force during this cataclysm.

Chakor followed his instructions. He helped humans and hunted beasts from the skies to the depths of the oceans. He killed any beast that could disturb the balance of the world. Meanwhile, the dragon did not remain idle. He had a limited range of operations but devised a plan. He recruited various beasts and some humans, giving them his bloodline. He built an army of slaves to do his bidding.

He even resorted to producing offspring with special human women, creating a clan that carried the dragon bloodline. Those with his bloodline grew much stronger compared to the locals. Yet, there was an anomaly named Chakor. Frustrated with being unable to reclaim his mountain, Chakor killed any beast or human bearing the human bloodline as soon as he discovered them. The only safe place for dragon species was the Azure Mountains, under Gullnor's protection.

Soon the long-awaited confrontation arrived. With the world's voice, Chakor found many heavenly treasures that helped him strengthen himself. Despite the voice's advice, he chose not to start cultivating anything, relying instead on his speed and body as his only weapon. His immense ego drove him to want to defeat the dragon solely through his own strength, not with any heavenly techniques or treasures.

On a clear day, Gullnor lay sleeping atop the main peak of the Azure Mountains. His massive body resembled another mountain range overshadowing Azure Mountain. Beasts and humans with his bloodline populated the area, gradually gaining strength to conquer the outside world for their master, Gullnor.

One of these beings—a human with dragon blood, horns, and wings—caught a small bird. Holding it in his hand, he laughed and said, "Look at this creature, daring to come into this mountain. We've killed every one of them, yet this one survived. Instead of living, it returned to die."

He laughed, about to kill the bird, but just then, a blur appeared nearby and his head exploded. The frightened bird flew free and looked around for the source of this sudden death. It noticed another bird like itself a short distance away, chirping and asking about the others.

The bird sadly replied that they had all died. The other strange bird, responsible for killing the man, said nothing. It gazed toward the main peak of Azure Mountain and instructed, "Leave this place and don't return for a few days. After that, gather all the remaining birds and animals to come here. I promise this place will be restored to what it was before the cataclysm."

With that, Chakor flew away, leaving behind what might have been the last of its kind. Following Chakor's attack, a massacre unfolded in the Azure Mountains. In just half a minute, he killed 90% of the residents there, nearly wiping out all the dragon-blooded creatures. This forced Gullnor to awaken from his slumber.

Once awake, he saw his dead followers and roared. But Chakor didn't flinch under his pressure. He had grown stronger through his unique cultivation process, which couldn't be measured by normal standards. Some could say he matched the peak of Body and Soul Integration and perhaps even surpassed it.

Gullnor, for his part, no longer held the same strength. He was now in the Transcendence Tribulation realm, with unusual energy coursing through his body. His control of the laws had reached a new level. The fight began with a thunderous clash as they collided. Chakor dodged Gullnor's claws while attacking with his beak, but the dragon's scales were nearly impenetrable.

Despite being stronger in strength and techniques, Gullnor couldn't catch Chakor, who was too fast. Slowly, wounds began to appear on Gullnor's body, and for the first time in history, the blood of a true dragon fell to the ground. Worn out from the relentless assault, Gullnor resorted to a final tactic, using a Heavenly Bead to change the laws and create intense gravity around himself, making it hard for Chakor to move.

The world's voice had anticipated this move; it was part of their plan to make Gullnor use it. As he activated the Heavenly Bead, the sky darkened with thunder clouds, and lightning began targeting Gullnor. Soon, thousands of chains made of thunder ensnared him, rendering him immobile.

Now trapped by the will of the world, the dragon appeared helpless. Chakor thought he had won, but then Gullnor looked up at the sky and said, "I did not expect this small world to have a heavenly will of its own."

Gullnor declared, "Heavenly will of this world, you can't kill me. I am the Chosen One of a higher world; you know that well. So release me."

Chakor was confused by his words when a booming voice came from the sky. It was the world's voice, which said, "I can only release you if you promise not to harm the heavenly will and laws of this world. If you refuse, we can die together. I will kill you here, and then I will perish due to the backlash of luck."

Chakor felt bewildered after hearing the will of the world. Why was it speaking with Gullnor? What did he mean by "Chosen One" and "luck"?

Before he could voice his questions, Gullnor quickly replied, "Enough of this. I no longer wish to devour any laws; I want to kill that bird. I swear on my cultivation that if you release me from this suppression, I will leave this world after I kill that bird."

Soon, Chakor received a reply. The chains around Gullnor fell away, and the thunderclouds began to disperse, while the will of the world simply said, "Don't forget your promise."

At that moment, Chakor realized he had been betrayed. The world's will, whatever it was, had only used him to defeat the dragon and had now made a compromise with Gullnor, leaving him isolated.
