"Well, you've always been younger than me..." Vivian mumbled softly.
"I was only born an hour later than you!" Ethan Hayes took a deep breath, looking at Vivian with a serious expression.
"Oh..." Seeing this topic was about to fizzle out, Vivian quickly picked up her textbook, awkwardly smiled at Ethan, and said, "Let's get back to studying."
Ethan: "..."
The afternoon sunlight was perfect, the temperature pleasant. In the quiet study room, there was only the sound of a pen scratching across paper and their light breathing.
Ethan had his head down, carefully working out the solution on scrap paper. Vivian took a novel and sat beside him, flipping through casually.
Outside the study room, there was the sound of dishes being washed in the kitchen and the television playing in the living room.
In this peaceful ambience, Vivian's phone suddenly rang.
The tip of Ethan's pen paused slightly as he lifted his head, his dark, deep eyes looking at Vivian.
