F. Jay looked back at her with the same unhurried expression he had worn on the red carpet when he winked at Haejin and watched all five members suddenly find something very interesting to look at that was not him.
She opened the envelope.
Inside was a small card and a second print, folded once.
She unfolded it.
It was a character from the webtoon she recognized immediately because she had read the series twice. The one who existed in the background of almost every important scene and who most readers walked past the first time through. Not a main character. Not comic relief. The one who was always there, always watching, always the reason certain things did not fall apart, and whose name the other characters did not learn until very late in the story.
When they did learn her name there was a whole chapter about what she had actually been doing the entire time.
The card had five words.
