She looked at Soorin directly and Soorin felt it before she had time to fix her face.
"You are doing that thing," Calista said.
"I am not doing any thing."
"The thing. Where you are about to cry and you are refusing to."
"I am not."
Calista turned from the phone.
"Honey, she is about to cry."
"I AM NOT," Soorin said, which came out loud enough to confirm about forty percent of it.
"Tell me what happened," Calista said.
"Nothing happened. It was a weird week. A good week. Both at the same time."
"Han Soorin."
A beat.
"Appa said he will handle it," Soorin said. "I believe him. That is enough."
Joonwoo's voice came from off screen.
"She is right."
Then he appeared back in frame properly, sitting down next to Calista, tie slightly loosened, looking like a man who had been pacing and had only just decided to sit.
