Chapter 53 - Chapter 53

3rd POV

War rages on in the Baal System. However, unlike in the canon timeline, the Ultramarines and the rest of the fleet Roboute leads arrive in the system early. With the reinforcements arriving, the Devastation of Baal is no longer a canon event.

With the reinforcements, the Baal System can defend against the massive number of Tyranids attacking the system.

Roboute even arrives fast enough to witness a rare sight of Daemons butchering thousands of Tyranids. Ka'Bandha is butchering his way through thousands of Tyranids and even Imperials alike.

He is here to make sure the Tyranids do not destroy the Blood Angels, for in his mind, he is the only being who can destroy the sons of his rival.

However, he receives more than he thought he would get from appearing in the Baal System. He receives the chance to fight another Primarch. This time, it is Roboute Guilliman. The fight starts with a bang.

Roboute, holding the Emperor's Sword, attacks the five-meter-tall daemon. The impact creates a crater underneath them, and the Bloodthirster laughs in delight at facing someone worthy of him.

"Another son of the Anathema! Good! Your skull will be great for the Skull Throne!"

With a roar, he swings his axe and faces Roboute head-on. Each of them trades blows that can destroy a building. Roboute blocks each of the attacks and even performs a counterattack toward the Bloodthirster in front of him.

His Combi Bolter fires at the Daemon, who takes the bullets without even flinching. Ka'Bandha roars in anger and continues to charge forward. He uses his wings to carry Roboute away from the battlefield, destroying buildings along the way.

Roboute does not let the tackle bother him and instead moves his sword, stabs the Bloodthirster in the neck, and fires his Combi Bolter at the daemon's face.

The daemon headbutts him and then throws him with all his strength to the ground, creating a massive crack in the ground. Roboute grunts a little from the impact, but immediately rolls to the left to dodge the Bloodthirster landing on his spot.

He fires his Combi Bolter and charges at the daemon. Ka'Bandha gladly greets him with a swing of his axe while his whip tries to lower Roboute's guard. However, Roboute dodges the attack, slamming his right leg on the ground, pinning the whip to the ground as he continues to attack the Bloodthirster with his sword.

Both of them continue fighting for three minutes before his honor guard reaches him. They immediately open fire at the daemon, and each of their attacks injures the daemon, distracting him enough for Roboute to exploit.

With a heavy thrust, he stabs the daemon in the neck and causes the sword to burn even brighter. The daemon screams in pain as the Anathema power of the God-Emperor burns the very essence of his being.

With a roar, Ka'Bandha moves his body and tries to pull the sword out of his body. However, Roboute does not let it go and instead keeps pushing. His honor guard keeps firing their weapons, and some of them even get close enough to stab the daemon with their power weapons.

Sadly for them, Ka'Bandha is not a regular daemon. He roars, releases his whip, and uses his left hand to grab nearby Space Marines, crushing their heads and sacrificing his right hand to get out of Roboute's sword.

He rips off his right hand and lets go of the part of his body that the sword stabbed.

With himself free, he goes on a rampage. He uses his wings and flies around, taking out all the Space Marines coming toward him. It is because of Roboute, who stands in his path and wrestles him down, that the others can hit him.

He grunts and moves the massive daemon and slams him to the ground, then, with a roar, he punches Ka'Bandha in the face with his Hand of Dominion. A sickening crunch can be heard, and Roboute grabs Ka'Bandha's horns to throw the Bloodthirster away.

His honor guard continues to assault the Daemon relentlessly, only stopping to reload. However, Roboute uses the time of their reload to charge forward with his sword, intending to end the fight with one final blow.

The sword in his hand glows golden, and the fire surrounding it roars into life. The surrounding area is covered by psychic fire that destroys any daemonic energy in the area.

Roboute swings his sword, and Ka'Bandha tries to block the attack after summoning his axe, but it is a feint. Roboute changes the direction of his sword, dodging the block attempt. With a mighty roar, he swings his sword downward and cuts the daemon in two.

Ka'Bandha releases one last roar before his being explodes into nothingness. The Warp becomes chaotic once again because another Greater Daemon has been granted a True Death. Previously, it was Bolothrax; now, it is Ka'Bandha.

Ka'Bandha's death is announced throughout the Warp, and it makes the Chaos Gods angry. The Brass Citadel lights up as Khorne's roar can be heard throughout the Warp. Blood floods out of his realm and reaches the other realms as well.

However, instead of celebrating, Roboute grunts and barks orders. He is not done. There are still a lot of Tyranids and Daemons on Baal Primus.

The war is not over, and Roboute plans to end it on his terms.

However, he is not the only person who is moving. Behind him, Kael leads a massive army of reinforcements and support to make sure his war is not interrupted by a lack of ammunition or food. The logistics line is secure under Kael's command, and he makes sure to continue to build everything he can to ensure everything is going smoothly.

When he is done with Baal Primus, Kael and his army of Mechanicus enter the moon and start repairing it so it is combat-ready. He needs to split his group into two, with the other half helping Baal.

It takes half a month to handle the Tyranids in the system, or at least most of them. There are still a lot of Tyranids in the Baal System and the neighboring systems. Many Space Marine Chapters spread across the Baal System, reinforcing it and ensuring no system falls fully. As long as they are able to hold the ground, they can counterattack against the Tyranids.

The losses are still massive, but compared to the canon timeline, they are better. Baal Primus still has 500 million people, rather than having its entire population butchered by Ka'Bandha and the Tyranids. Baal also has more than half of its population survive the battle. That one is a miracle.

Sadly, Baal Secundus is still lost to the Tyranids and requires significant resources to rebuild. The Tyranids eat all biomass on the moon, and even the atmosphere is so thin that it requires a certain terraforming device to restore it.

Seven Chapters are also wiped out in the battle. All of them are descendants of the Blood Angels, and they die while fighting. All of their names are honored in the Hall of Honor deep in the Fortress Monastery on Baal.

Roboute and Dante, Chapter Master of the Blood Angels and Lord Regent of the Imperium Nihilus, are currently talking about the next campaign they will perform. They are discussing the creation of Angels' Halo, a reconquest campaign that shall restore what was lost.

As for Kael, he is busy creating something to restore Baal Secundus using all of his Tinker power, especially his [Tinker–Ecology]. While he is tinkering, he stops for a moment when he sees a notification in the corner of his vision.

Congratulations! You prevent the Devastation of Baal! You receive 1x Legendary Ticket!

He blinks for a second and mutters,

"Finally showing up, huh? Well, fair enough. I've not done anything notable lately. Roll."

After a few seconds, the gacha stops, and Kael looks at the result in shock and awe.

[Tinker - Dimensions]

Divine Ability

Allows you to build, construct, and design contraptions or machines for manipulating dimensions and performing dimensional operations, such as pocket dimension generators, teleportation sealers, Dimensional Rams, interdimensional portals, unbreakable spatial barrier generators, drawing energy from neighboring parallel dimensions, and much more. Essentially, the Kaleidoscope through science.

He immediately puts this ability into his ability slots, and he feels a flood of knowledge enter his mind. Countless pieces of knowledge that should not exist now exist. Each of them is able to make even the greatest Mechanicus drool in excitement.

However, what truly stuns him is the fact that he can create a device that can close the Great Rift. It will be a megastructure the size of a small moon, but he can build a device that allows him to close the Great Rift.

"Holy shit."
