We need to use short jumps between systems and rely on hard, cold calculation rather than the Navigators. We need to make short jumps between systems rather than making a single jump from one point to another.
The reason? There is something that makes all psykers scream in pain whenever they look into the Warp.
We need to put them in an awake-sleep state. They are awake, but most of their brain is resting. It allows them to rest without entering the Warp and screaming in pain at the thing that makes them like this.
I know the reason why they are like this. It is because of the Shadow in the Warp. The Tyranids use this power to mess with all psykers and psychic species, and psychic species use the Warp as a weapon against them. Not only does it disrupt communication, as the Astropath cannot use their ability to send and receive messages, but it also disrupts travel.
We cannot use the Navigators for long-distance travel.
"Kael."
I snap out of my thoughts and turn around. I can see Roboute walking toward me with a frown on his face. This slow pace of getting to Baal frustrates him.
"Roboute. What can I do for you?"
"We need to split."
"Hmmm? Will you take your personal ship ahead of us?"
"Yes. Before the shadow envelops all of us, the Astropath managed to receive a message from Baal. They are asking for reinforcement and are currently surrounded by Tyranids. If we bring all the ships, we will move more slowly. I will take my personal flagship and three other battleships with me."
"So you want to go ahead and reinforce them while I make sure to prepare the hyperlanes."
"That is right. This mess makes the need for hyperlanes even greater. I shall be the one securing the front, and you shall be the one securing the logistics line."
"Sure. I don't mind. I can go around and map all the hyperlanes in this part of the galaxy."
Roboute smiles and says,
"I will leave it to you. I know you will be secure…"
He looks to the side and sees a massive golden starship floating next to my flagship. Yeah… with the Custodes and their ship protecting me, I know that I am in good hands.
"Yeah. You can focus on Baal. Leave this sector to me."
With a nod, he leaves the bridge and walks toward the hangar so he can take control of his ship, Macragge's Honour. It is a shame to see him leave. Roboute is a good person to talk to, as I have learned over the past few days.
When you can get past his Primarch Aura, he is someone who is easy to talk to. It is a shame that his Primarch Aura is so strong that not many people are able to do what I've been doing.
He is also able to keep up with me in my tinkering. He gave me a good idea regarding my next project and something that the Mechanicus is testing right now, alongside constructing more hyperlanes to identify each system for easier travel.
What kind of energy reactor is that? It is called the Zero Point Generator. It extracts vacuum energy, providing an almost limitless supply of ship power. The output is the same as that of the Plasma Generator, but it does not require refueling.
The only downside is that it requires rare materials to create. It requires a high initial investment, but it is better in the long run.
This generator will be great for maintaining the portals that connect the separated Imperium. At the moment, the Plasma Generator needs to be refueled every 1.5 years. It is too frequent, because a starship only needs to refuel every 50 years.
Yeah. The Wormhole Portals are power-hungry.
This generator will replace the Plasma Generator to power the portals and some ships. Roboute wants me to handle the logistics, and that is what I will do. I can tell he would rather be the one doing my job, but as a Primarch, he is required to lead the others in this crusade.
Well, it is a rather easy job. That blueberry boy already created a detailed plan to secure the logistics line that supplies half of the galaxy. The seven-hundred-page book about the plan for this half of the galaxy is considered a light plan for him.
And he wonders why I call him the Excel Primarch instead of the Ultramarine Primarch.
Now, what is the next step again? Ah, right. I need to build a starbase and secure a key point at the hyperlane exit. It will be easy, he said. Just build a starbase, he said. Imperium scaling is something that I cannot comprehend.

|3rd POV|
War is happening in the city of Commorragh. At first, the high-ranking Dark Eldar do not think much of it, as the city will always have some kind of small war happening across it. However, it changes when half of the city joins the war.
It gets even worse when a massive psychic power spreads across the Dark City.
The first one is a massive golden aura that pierces through the dark veil of the city that protects it from other Eldar that are not Dark Eldar. The Golden One releases a second wave of psychic blasts that reduces hundreds of Dark Eldar to ashes. They know that this is the Golden One, the God-Emperor of the Mon-keigh race.
However, it gets worse when the Dark Eldar, especially the older ones, feel a familiar presence. It is a presence that is full of life and nature. They know this is Isha, the Goddess who is supposedly still in the hands of Nurgh-leth.
The two presences appearing in the Dark City send ripples across the Webway. Not only that, but those causing the war across the Dark City use this chaos to wreak even more havoc.
Among those causing the havoc is a massive man with a saber in his hand, killing all Dark Eldar standing in front of him while riding a grav-bike. His presence demands respect, and his skill demands fear and awe.
Each time he moves, his hand blurs at speed, and red mist is the result of his attacks.
This man is Jaghatai Khan, a former prisoner of the Haemonculi. He was tortured by them, and his body was experimented on. If not for the fact that he is a Primarch, he would have gone insane a long time ago, and his body would have changed forever.
He was captured thirty years ago after the human he rescued from the Dark Eldar betrayed him for a piece of drug created by the Haemonculi. Since then, he has been tortured and experimented on.
It was a month ago that he heard a familiar voice. It was the voice of the Emperor, his father. At first, he thought that he was going crazy, but after a few more days of convincing, he decided to trust the voice enough to follow the plan.
It is working, and he escapes his prison, killing his warden and tormentor, before leading another rebellion against the ruler of the Dark City.
Today is the day they perform a full rebellion, and this time, there are Eldar who join them in the rebellion. He turns to the side and sees a group of masked Eldar riding alongside him. It reminds him of the past—the glorious past.
It reminds him of the past, and only pieces still remain in his memory. It reminds him of the era when he led his sons to a noble cause. He misses the feeling.
He continues to ride alongside the Harlequins, killing all the Dark Eldar who stand against them. They continue to ride until they reach the edge of the city, where he can see a familiar figure standing among the Golden Army surrounding him.
He frowns for a moment and stops in front of the Golden Army. He steps off his bike and walks toward the figure. He is unafraid of the golden army protecting the figure and continues to walk forward.
His now wrinkled face looks at the same face he knew from the past. The figure smiles at him and says,
"It looks like time has changed you, my son."
"Hn. And time does not affect you. How?"
The Khan knows that this person is his father. The connection between them is so strong that he will know immediately if someone impersonates his father.
"We can talk about it later. For now…" The Emperor takes out a familiar sword. It is his personal sword, White Tiger Dao. "Will you join me in this war, my son?"
He looks at the Emperor for a moment and grunts. He takes the sword, and that is enough for the Emperor. Just like that, father and son enter the war.
