Chapter 824: The Final Convergence
Sophia and the others fought the Enclave warriors who seemed to be multiplying around them, along with the beasts that had turned the battlefield into something out of a nightmare.
The warriors came from every direction, their swords flashing through the storm, their voices shouting orders that were swallowed almost immediately by the howling wind. The beasts lunged from the shadows, their eyes gleaming with hunger, their claws tearing through the air.
It felt endless.
For every warrior they cut down, two more seemed to take their place.
For every beast they killed, another emerged from the snow.
Blood was everywhere now, staining the white ground red and soaking into the fur and clothes of both the living and the dead. The scent of iron filled the air, mixing with the cold and the earthy smell of the forest.
Sophia ducked beneath a sword and drove one of her blades into the warrior's abdomen.
The man gasped.
