Yuta woke up at dawn and neatly arranged his bed before stepping into the shower. As the water poured over him, Yuta thought to himself,
'I leave today huh'
It had been over two months since Yuta arrived in Livastin. His time there had been peaceful.
Yuta had hoped to stay a little longer, but two things forced him to reconsider.
His primary goal—killing Rena.
That hatred simmered quietly, like a beast waiting to be unleashed, Yuta knew he was not strong enough to do it at his current capabilities.
So, the optimal decision was to run away, live to fight another day like a soldier at war
Rena was his ticket back home, and she had a lot of questions to answer
Second: Rin and Tino
Ever since arriving in Livastin with Luna, Rin had become somewhat of a brother to Yuta.
However, he remained skeptical of Kuro, sensing ulterior motives.
'I need to get strong'
'If Luminary Academy is the key, I will grab it with all my might'
Leaving the shower, Yuta entered his room seeing a neatly folded set of clothes on his bed. The outfit consisted of a black tailored coat over a fitted shirt, a fitted pair of pants and matching boots.
'How nice of them'
As Yuta as he descended the stairs, he met Rin, Luna and Kuro all waiting
"You're too slow," Rin said, irritation evident in his voice.
"Let's go"
"Alright, alright," Yuta replied as he descended the stairs.
Yuta walked up to Tino who greeted him with a gentle smile which, for some reason, unsettled Yuta
"So, what are your expectations; you, money grabbing woman?"
"Is that how you talk to the person who fed you, clothed you, and gave you a roof over your head?" Tino said slapping Yuta on the back hard
"Ouch"
"Don't whine"
Tino pointed her fingers towards Yuta and Rin smirking
"Simple: Crush the exam and the competition"
Yuta and Rin turned to look at each other in disbelief before grinning at each other
"Got it, boss." they both echoed as they waved apathetically
As they both stepped out of Tino tavern, Yuta turned to look at Rin with a solemn expression
"What's wrong?"
"..."
"Would you talk at least?" Kuro said calmly
"I'll be saying my goodbyes… at least for now."
"What a softy" Rin said grinning
"Ouch" Yuta punched Rin hard on the shoulder
"Luna, can you do it now"
"Sure"
Luna walked towards Yuta before kissing him on the forehead. Although insignificant to Yuta, some changes began to happen to him
His once black hair bore a golden amber color and his eyes of pure crimson which showed hatred showed grey color proving his indifference towards everything
"Wow" Rin said in exclamation
Yuta pointed his finger in the air before speaking
"A couple of things will happen once we reach the Academy: One- I will no longer be addressed as Yuta but as Light and secondly- we don't engage unless necessary"
"Luna and I are fugitives due to… complicated circumstances and would like to move quietly as we could"
Hearing Yuta's command, Kuro and Rin smiled, nodding in agreement while Luna just smirked
"Let's go to the Academy!"
Yuta held Luna by the hand as a black fog clouded them before Yuta emerged, dark wings unfurling behind him.
Yuta leapt in the air before staring down at Rin and Kuro smirking
"I know it's hard, you will-"
Swoosh
Rin suddenly appeared beside him midair, smirking—much to Yuta's slight disappointment.
"When did you learn that?"
"Come on, you aren't the only one with secrets"
Yuta sighed before smiling briefly as both he and Rin flew away
MEANWHILE
Back at the chamber of Rena, her desks were filled with scrolls, whether it be Academy scrolls, Summoning scrolls
"Fuck, where is it?" Rena said scratching her head in frustration.
"Can you give it a rest; I am not a product of a scroll" Young Rena said, yawning.
"....."
SIGH
"How do I get rid of you then because I personally don't enjoy sharing my thoughts with you"
"...…"
'It has to be that man- the enigma'
"Of course, it's not him" Young Rena said snapping Rena back to her thoughts
"What?"
"I was his most trusted pupil and I am sure he put this defective system to keep me in check" Rena said clutching the paper hard
"Hahahahaha" Young Rena burst into manic laughter
"You are wrong, it was you who put this defective system on yourself"
"!"
"Let me take you back to the past" Young Rena said with a grin
