"In this moment.. I.. I can't let her go and die. Not now. If only my body moved, faster and faster. If only I had the strength to bring forth my blade and sway the attack away." Mira's mind rushed, thoughts jumbled panicked, after all, Galadriel was about to pierced straight through the heart. Deep withing her mind something spurred to life, desperately clinging its way back from the murky depths. "Galadriel, where did you go? Where is everything?" The sudden void around her eyes filled her vision, just like back then, back when. Shutting her eyes closed, she hoped that it really isn't how it ends.
Her eyes shot back open once more, marbled pillars, almost like those from ancient Rome sprawled along the hall. At the end of it stood a door wide open, bright and alluring, a silent wish for her to tread on. Her feet slowly dragging across the cool surface of the hall, the stone path shaped to lead her forward. Reaching the end of the hall, the door opened to a room. A sword slid into a perfectly shaped block of stone, as a soft light shone onto it from a hole in the ceiling. Stepping forward into the light, it felt warm like the sun, soft and gentle. "That sword.." Her thoughts were stopped short as a soft voice spoke, one she had buried deep withing her mind, locked away for eternal slumber. A soft hum, as gentle as the sun laid across her body, a voice so caring, like a delicate flower. "Mira.. Do you still hesitate? Fear? What the outcome will bring forth.. Won't you take it? Another chance, not even at death's door step? Had the gift 'She' had given you, lay to rot till time consumes what is over of its decomposing remains.. that what you had cherished? Has your heart, mind, your very own soul forgotten what you are?" Sudden steps drew closed from behind Mira. Yet she wasn't afraid, they were soothing, her heart's erratic thumping slowing down. She couldn't bring herself to look back, not yet. "Perhaps that which had occurred had been entirely the very flawed nature of your existence.. But is that basis for you throw away all?! For you to leave behind who you were?! Don't throw away the gift, the final embrace 'She' had left behind for you! Take the sword, look at me and promise me.. Promise me that even if those memories resurface, even when you lose yourself.. that you won't cast away what precious you have left over. Your heart yearns for.." But before they could continue, they were cut short, Mira grasped the sword, clutching it tightly within her palm. Turning around, her eyes widened, yet she felt so calm. There she was faced with the unknown woman. Ah, how could she ever forget those gentle eyes. So deep and expansive like the never ending ocean, yet the lingering sorrow in them, a small tug at the depths of Mira's very existence. She reached her hand towards her as the world around her faded into a bright void, consuming her very vision.
Her eyes slowly slid open, her hand resting on the handle of her sword. She could see. See how close the spike was to piercing Galadriel, her body moved before she could process it. She felt light, as if it was hollowed out, like a feather.
"Galadriel.." Mira's sword hung low, almost touching the ground as she stood in front of Galadriel. "I'm glad you're okay.." Her voice was calm and soft, maybe right now she would be sobbing. But this time it's different. "I'll handle the rest.. You're exhausted aren't you?" As much as Galadriel didn't want to admit, that last battle had taken its wear on her body. "If I start to lose.. Just run, but not like I will." Mira added with a reassuring smile.
Before they even noticed, the blob had finished shaping itself. In body build it was similar to the creature from before, but it was larger than it. Its body covered in the black ooze which had shaped itself into a knights armour, its head something similar to an animal like a lizard. A large tail sprawled from the back of it and a large sword in hand. This time its edge was smooth and clean, not rigged. Ooze flowed from its other hand. With a loud roar, which shook the entire underground it did something far unexpected.
"My name is Akuji.. Foul pests which had stumbled upon my slumber, thine soul shall be purged from these lands.. Thou shall prepare to breathe thine final breath. Prepare thyself, to lay their eyes upon thine very own tombstone!" Its voice rung through the mine, low almost like a growl, like a broken down music box.
Mira gripped her sword just a bit tighter before rushing forward. Akuji swung its blade straight towards Mira, with a loud cling their blades clashed with each other. With a quick step Mira dashed to the side, their blades clashing once more. Cling, their blades clashed once more. Galadriel gazed at their fight, both of their movements so fast, so hard to track. The small sparks of their blades crossing flying in all directions. Sliding along the ground Mira slid under the blade heading straight for Akaji. With a sudden move, Akaji lifted its other hand up as large spikes erupted from the ground, pushing Mira back. Jumping backwards she made distance, her feet sliding along the hard surface. Sliding its hand along to the side in a quick motion, hardened blots of the liquid emerged from the ceiling, raining down upon Mira. Her body sliding between them, as flexible as water, like a dance. Closing in on Akuji, sliding in-between the swings of its blade.
Her eyes widened as she gritted her teeth, stopping her tracks. She forgot about the wound in her foot, it had opened up more sending a jolt of sharp pain through it. Her eyes suddenly shot up from her foot, her sword moving right in front of her body. Akuji's large hand collided with her sword, sending her flying into the nearest wall. With a loud noise she crashed into the wall, cracking the wall as dust pilled around her. "Thy is but a stain upon this very world.. Thou shall accept their impending damnation.. Repent for thy very own existence!" Its voice roared through the mine once more, its grotesque laugh echoing throughout. Breaking through the smoke with a quick step Mira moved towards Akuji. Erupting from the ground once more were spikes, yet this time, she lunged straight through tearing them apart. With a loud screech their sword slid against one another. From the ground shot out another spike, just barely grazing Mira's arm. Slamming it's fist at Mira, she managed to react to dodge. The ground tore, is it pushed out in layers upon layers, leaving a crater in its wake. It swung with more force, sliding under the blade once more she evaded the attack. A clean slice etched into the walls from the pure force of the swing in the shape of the blade. Akuji's blade slammed into the ground as Mira dodged once more. The fighting ground reshaped from the pure destruction. Black ooze erupting from ever corner shot straight at Mira. Every attack devastating, tearing the walls and the ground apart. A pillar of ooze striking mire from below sending her flying upwards. Akuji's hand already swung as it was about to collide with Mira.
In that quick moment, spinning around she dug her sword into its hand and launched herself upwards landing on Akuji's arm. Stabbing her blade into it, she ran along it towards its head tearing the arm open as she moved. Another pillar suddenly shot from a wall, blocking it with her sword she was launched away. Driving her sword into the ground she managed to stop herself. Yet there was no moment to rest as a rapid swing from Akuji sent her flying once more, hurdling towards a wall. With enough force to break through it, opening into a large cavern. From the ground rose humanoid creatures made from the same ooze. She was falling straight towards them, there was too many about 200 and she could hear that Akuji was following tearing through the wall. Turning around to face towards the ground, she took a deep breath, closing her eyes shut. Just as she was about to touch the ground she slowly slid her eyes open. "Don't be afraid.." She whispered to herself. She drew her sword backwards, the ground shook, her foot gently touching the ground. In an instant she stood past the horde, instantly all of them splattered apart sending bits of the black ooze flying. Followed by a strong shockwave tearing the ground up, splitting the cavern in half by a massive crater in the shape of a sword. Akuji landed with a loud thud, sending huge chunks of the ground flying. Mira slowly turned to face it. "Perhaps my existence is a stain upon this world.. But so is yours." She lifted her sword pointing at Akuji. "If one has to perish.. Then it must be you." The chunks slowly lifted from the ground as everything shook. A final attack from both of them. With a move of its hand, a large spike the size of the cavern opening tore from the side of wall launched straight at Mira at immense speeds. The gentle drips of water echoed through the cavern, with a sudden move Mira swung straight down. For a moment nothing happened, as if everything had just stopped, silent, soft waves sliding across the quiet ocean. It happened so fast, everything tore apart, the monster exploded into the same liquid a small shattering sound echoing. The wall where swing was face, tore, creating a huge opening which stretched deep into the depths of the walls. The spike shattered in an instant. With a soft click she slid her sword back into its scabbard. Turning away, she gazed back at the left over ooze for a moment longer before heading back to Galadriel.
