[A few moments ago]
Alex moved quietly through the forest, the fog swirling lazily around his ankles as he walked.
Then he felt it.
A sudden surge of blue aura rippled through the area, cutting through the fog like a wave. In the distance, the dense mist thinned dramatically—as if an invisible hand had swept across the forest and cleared away nearly one-third of it.
A small smile formed on Alex's face.
"Not bad," he murmured. "But she still needs training to use her powers more efficiently in the future. I bet she's already run out of energy."
The red sword in his hand vibrated slightly.
"Hmph," Victoria's voice snapped. "If you had let me absorb her, I would have already cleared this damn fog—and those accursed illusions. I still can't believe I let myself be fooled by some cheap tricks like these."
Alex chuckled.
"Well, it was a sight to see," he said. "And I enjoyed every bit of it."
A dangerous aura leaked from the sword, sharp and suffocating.
She was angry.
