Alex leaned against the door with his arms crossed, a smile tugging at his lips when he witnessed the emotional interaction going on.
He cleared his throat, drawing their attention, and he walked towards the room.
"Hello, Miss Aurora."
Aurora's brows furrowed.
"And... you are?"
Avery got up and stood beside Alex. She hugged his arm and smiled towards her mother.
"My husband, Mom. This is Alexander Gibson." Avery smiled.
Alex caressed her fingers and smiled at her.
"Husband? You're married?"
Avery nodded happily. Aurora smiled, and her eyes landed on her empty ring finger.
Her lips thinned. Avery tightened her hands around Alex's arm.
"And... you're going to be a grandmother."
Aurora's eyes snapped towards her.

"You're going to be a grandmother, Mom."
Aurora stared at Avery's bump and clasped her hands together.
