( Yuuki's POV )
When I replied that I had to find the world they came from before I could send them back, The brown-haired girl stared at me for a moment and then seemed to accept my answer for the time being, although not all the girls thought the same way as her.
???: hmph very convenient that we can't leave immediately.
Yuuki: It's not convenient for me. You'll be my responsibility until you return home.
???: je I know that no meal is free, who knows what jobs you'll have us doing because we're your responsibility.
Yuuki: I told you I don't want anything from you guys, frankly, putting you guys in the jobs we do would only slow us down.
???: ehh! What did you say? You want a fight!
???: That's enough, Mataemon. You don't want to do that.
The girl who had thrown the furniture when I came in couldn't be convinced, and when I told her they couldn't do the same job as us, she was offended and seemed to want to start a fight, but she was stopped by a girl with short pink hair who was standing next to her.
???: What's wrong, Musashi? I was about to teach that pretty boy a lesson.
Musashi: No, you weren't. Ever since he came into the room, my hands haven't stopped shaking, I don't think I could draw my sword in front of him; that guy isn't normal.
Jubei: That's because Onii-chan is special~
Yukimura: ...I heard you have the powers of a general, is that true?
When the girl named Musashi said that Jubei wasn't normal, he made a very proud comment, which caused Yukimura to ask if I was a general, All the girls understood that, and they looked at me a little differently.
Matabei and that girl Yukimura had a sort of master-servant relationship, so it doesn't surprise me that he told her about me. She gave me an apologetic look, but I understood her situation.
Musashi walked to the front, she looked up at me and then she grabbed the collar of my shirt, my extensive experience told me exactly what was going to happen, so I let the girl pull my body closer. Without a trace of shame, the girl stole a kiss from me.
Just like with Jubei, Musashi entered master samurai mode. The girl tested her strength by opening and closing her fist. She seemed satisfied, and then without warning, she threw a fist at me.
Of course I caught her fist and then the girl gave a big smile. Jubei was staring at that girl and the pouting she was doing told me that she didn't like her very much.
Musashi: Okay, if you're going to go after the ones who captured us, I want part in it.
Yuuki: If that's what you want, be my guest.
After Musashi's little show, the rest of the girls made no further complaints and I left the dormitory so they could settle down properly there.
Even though I'd only taken a few steps out of the dorm, someone came out and called me.
Yukimura: Wait, I still want to talk to you.
The one who spoke to me was Yukimura. She still had a serious expression, but the confrontation from before was gone.
Yuuki: What do you need?
Yukimura: It's about our world.
Yuuki: I've been searching for that place ever since I met Matabei. Be patient.
Yukimura: That's not it. Before we were kidnapped, I could sense a bad omen; I knew that danger was approaching our country, vut after what you told us, I think that danger extends to our entire world.
Yuuki: Isn't that a bit of an escalation?
Yukimura: That's how I feel. I trust myself, and I also believe that you are what our world needs to face this. I want to know if we can count on you when that moment arrives.
Yuuki: I will be there, not only because it's my job but because I can't abandon the world Matabei comes from.
Yukimura: It seems you care about her a lot, even though you've only known her for a short time.
Yuuki: She's a friend, and I don't forget my friends.
////////////////////
Being in a new world, what I would normally be doing is exploring, maybe having a small adventure; that didn't happen in this world. Aside from the mission to rescue the girls, all I've done is take care of the guild. Eu had dumped her responsibilities on me and only showed up at the guild master's office occasionally, but not to work only to provide moral support.
*Bang*
Mataemon: oy! Big boss, I'm bored!
I wasn't the only victim of the tedium; Mataemon, the girl who was throwing furniture around during our first encounter, kicked open my door and seemed to want me to solve her problem.
Yuuki: Perhaps a walk around town or some exercise could solve that problem.
Mataemon: That's not enough, I need real action, something that will really make me sweat.
Yuuki: If you want something real, haven't you considered taking a mission through the guild? You'll cure your boredom and earn some money.
Mataemon: Oh, that's a good idea, boss.
Yuuki: This wasn't really a digital problem.
When Musashi said that she would accompany us until we faced the puppeteer, she and her three companions became allies just like Yukimura and Matabei.
Now Mataemon didn't think I was using her when I suggested she do missions for the guild.
The noble girl who questioned us earlier was named Sen; she, a maid and another who seemed to be an employee or something who accompanied her, were more cautious of us, They didn't see us as enemies, but they were watching to see what our next move would be.
There were two other girls we rescued, but they were much more neutral; they kept to themselves and were just waiting to be returned to their world, a valid reaction, I let them do what they wanted.
All the girls were more or less the same as Jubei, so I didn't have to worry about them, furthermore, the chances of the enemy risking confronting us just to recapture those girls were very low.
