( Yuuki's POV )
After a lot of hard work, I found myself with some free time and I took advantage of it to leave the guild. More work would be piling up soon, so I couldn't get too far away from the city.
As I was walking, I noticed that people were hanging decorations and there was a cheerful atmosphere all around; perhaps a festival was approaching.
I had no specific purpose for going out, but something caught my eye in one of the shops; it wasn't a peculiar magical object, but a simple magazine, the same magazine that featured Mirajane, Lisanna's sister, as the most beautiful woman on the continent, Out of curiosity and to support someone who was now family, I went in to buy a copy of it, but when I extended my hand, someone else went for the same magazine and our hands touched.
???: Oh, sorry; wait... aren't you Yuuki?
The girl who appeared had blonde hair and I didn't recognize her, but she knew my name. I gave the girl another quick look and noticed that she had a Fairy Tail guild mark, she must have remembered me from my visit there.
Yuuki: Oh, you're a Fairy Tail mage. Sorry, I didn't catch your name last time.
???: I'm Lucy. I'm kind of new to Fairy Tail.
The girl Lucy was very friendly and after we each bought a copy of the magazine, we started talking and walking around town.
I asked Lucy what all the decorations people were putting up were for, and she told me it was because of the harvest festival, a local festival, in addition to the usual things like food stalls, was going to feature the Miss Fairy Tail pageant.
Yuuki: Miss Fairy Tail? What's that, a beauty pageant?
Lucy: Yes, something like that, it's like a talent contest that highlights the magic of each contestant, but it's also a popularity contest so pretty girls will have the advantage; the magazine I bought is to gather information on what's most popular at the moment.
Yuuki: Well, in terms of appearance, I think you're already a strong contender.
Lucy: e-eh um thank you.
Yuuki: What kind of magic do you use?
Lucy: Oh, that. I use celestial spirit magic. I can summon allies using special keys.

Lucy: Paperwork? Yuuki, are you a guild master? With how strong you are, that would make sense.
Yuuki: No, our guild master just likes to dump that work on me, but she's cute so I guess that's okay.
Lucy: I guess every guild is different.
Yuuki: Very true, I guess I'll see you at the contest. It was nice talking to you, Lucy.
Lucy: um I feel the same way; other powerful wizards I've met can be somewhat... peculiar. It's refreshing to meet someone normal.
Yuuki: You're the only one who's ever called me that.
Lucy: Huh? Why? Just because you're strong.
Yuuki: Don't worry about it, I'll see you later, Lucy.

I returned to the guild after my talk with Lucy and I told the girls about the festival in the city and the contest at Fairy Tail, Lisanna of course knew all about this, she was going to be there, the rest of the girls weren't very interested, but Saeko said she would come with us.
In the couple of days before the festival, the only thing worth noting was that Musashi and her companions returned from their first mission, Mataemon was satisfied with the action she got in that mission, so she immediately jumped on to do another mission.
When the day of the festival arrived, the three of us left the guild hall, and then Laura rushed out to us.
Yuuki: Hey, are you coming with us? Why the change of heart?
Laura: I was told I could gather vital information in this contest, so I can't miss it.
I saw that Laura had the magazine I had bought in her hand and I deduced that things were not as serious as her words made them seem.
We made our way to the Fairy Tail guild; the festival around us was quite lively, but that didn't compare to when we entered the Fairy Tail guild, the people of Fairy Tail were as noisy as ever, but now the place was packed to the brim with visitors excited for the contest.
Elfman: Lisanna! This way.
It seemed like we were going to stay far from the stage, but Lisanna's brother let out a shout when he saw us; he had some places for us quite close to the action.
After we took our places, an enthusiastic announcer appeared and the contest began.
Commentator: Welcome everyone! Are you ready to welcome our lovely contestants who will be fighting for the title of Miss Fairy Tail?
' YEAHH!! '
Commentator: Then let's begin! Our first contestant is the beautiful magician with the infinite stomach, Kana Alberona!
The first to appear was the flirtatious Kana; she said she used card magic, and without further explanation, a deck of cards flew around Kana, the cards began to glow and then Kana appeared wearing a bikini, which was only slightly more provocative than her normal clothes
Kana looked at the crowd, and when her eyes landed on me, she winked.
I responded by clapping, and Laura, who was next to me, took out a notebook and started taking notes, I hope she's not learning anything strange.
The next contestant was a girl named Juvia, and she too ended up in a bikini to show off her assets.
Commentator: Now, our next contestant, the pride of Fairy Tail and recognized as the most beautiful woman on the continent, Mirajane Strauss!
The third contestant was the main event, Lisanna and Elfmanle gave their sister strong support, and I too was excited to see what the most beautiful woman on the continent would do.
