"The Next Morning"
Mark arrives at the station wondering, what Hans discovered last night.
As he step in he sees left and right and muttered "where is he?".
He goes and seats on his chair.
After few minutes Hans arrives carring a file with him.
"You're early." Hans said.
Hey there finally you came. Of course you told me to come at 7:00.
Now tell me. What did you find.
Hans opens the files and sets all the pictures he had taken on the table.
"What are these photos?" Mark asked, picking up one of the photographs. His expression changed as he looked through the rest. "Where did you get these?"
Well that is what I am going to tell you. so listen carefully.
Hans began explaining everything he had seen the previous night after following Mason.
He told Mark about the warehouse, the drug production, Laurence Crane's orders, and the teenagers being forced to work there. He then explained Rick's plan to recruit homeless people to increase their workforce.
As Hans continued, Mark's expression slowly changed.
At first, he listened quietly.
Then his jaw tightened.
His hands clenched into fists.
By the time Hans finished explaining everything, Mark was furious.
"So you're telling me they're planning to increase production and bring even more innocent people into that place?" Mark asked, his voice filled with anger.
"That's exactly what I heard."
Mark suddenly stood up.
"Then what the hell are we waiting for? Let's go to that warehouse."
Hans immediately stopped him.
"Wait, Mark. We can't just rush in there. They have a hole bunch of people guarding the place."
Mark turned toward him, still furious.
"Why not? You have photographs. You saw the place. You know what's happening there. We have everything to go and catch those bastards."
"Yes, but photographs alone aren't enough they are just evidence which we cannot use in the court. We need something conclusive that can connects Mason and the others directly to the operation."
Mark stared at the photographs again.
After listening to that, Mark calm down and asks Hans, "so what's the plan now?"
Hans takes a deep breath and starts to tell Mark about his plan, as he was listening Mark see a photo which contained the box which seem to have been getting ready to be exported.
But he found it odd, why is the drug which they distribute is being packed in the box and in a state to be shipped.
He than stops Hans, "Wait".
Hans stopped talking.
Mark stared at the photo but he could not see what was on it clearly. He asks Hans if he still has these photo in his phone.
Hans takes his phone out and gives it to Mark, "Here this is the photo."
Mark zooms in on the box which was in the photo..
Hans leans closer.
That's one of the box which was in the warehouse why are you zooming at it.
Mark studied it and sees that it is a sealed box which is ready to be shipped.
Something dosen't make sense,"Mark said".
"What?"
"If they produce and distribute the drug from there, then why are they packed and ready to be shipped?".
Hans looked at the photo again.
Mark continued, "If they are produce this here and this is their main production place then where are these boxes going? and more importantly, he paused... where are they going."
Han stayed silent.
He hadn't thought about that as his mind was full with all the information he saw and heard.
Then Mark said "The warehouse might not be the end of there operation".
It could be one of many warehouse or a small part of something big.
Hans is left with no words. As he saw the photo he noticed that one hour had already passed.
Shit, let's think about that later let's go we need to be somewhere.
"What? where are we going?"
"I will tell you on the way. Come on, hurry."
Both of them rushed out of the station.
Hans unlocked his car and got into the driver's seat. Mark quickly got in beside him.
As Hans started the engine, Mark looked at him.
"Okay, start talking. Where are we going?"
"Do you remember what I told you about how they are planing to get more people?"
"Yeah".
"We are going to go with them".
Mark frowned.
"Going with who?"
"The people they're planning to recruit."
"So you're telling me we're supposed to act like homeless people and go undercover?"
"Yep. That's the plan."
Mark stared at Hans for a moment.
"So we're going inside the warehouse and doing what? Making drugs?"
Hans glanced at him and laughed.
"Ha, Nice Joke."
"I'm not joking, man".
Mark continued, "You told me they have people guarding that place. If we get inside, how exactly are we supposed to investigate without getting caught?".
Hans smiled.
"Leave that to me."
Mark sighed and leaned back in his seat.
"Ha. Okay. That's the only thing I can do."
As they reached the location where Mason and Rick planned to recruit the homeless people, Hans parked the car a short distance away.
Mark looked around at the people gathered nearby.
"So, what now? How are we supposed to act like them? We can't just magically transform."
Hans looked at him with a smile.
"Hey, what did I tell you about leaving everything to me?"
He stepped out of the car and opened the trunk.
Mark followed him.
The moment he saw what was inside, he was left speechless.
A few sets of worn-out clothes, old bags, and other things they could use to blend in were neatly packed inside.
Mark stared at Hans.
"Ha... so you had already decided to do this from the beginning."
"Yep. I've been planning this all night."
Hans handed him a bundle of clothes.
"Here. Take these and change."
A few minutes later, both of them had changed their appearance and joined the group of homeless people waiting nearby.
They kept their heads down and avoided drawing attention to themselves.
Mark quietly looked at Hans.
"Are you sure this is going to work?"
Hans didn't answer.
His eyes were fixed on the road.
Then, in the distance, the sound of an approaching vehicle caught their attention.
A black SUV slowly pulled up near the group.
The vehicle came to a stop.
Neither Hans nor Mark moved.
The doors opened.
And the men inside stepped out.
Hans quietly whispered,
"Here we go."
