# Chapter 21. My Misery to You
‘Mom...’
He cried out, desperate to see her, but she never appeared.
‘If only I hadn't gone to the library that day. If only I hadn't run into my mom. No, if only my dad and that aunty hadn't done what they did… If only that woman wasn't our housekeeper…’
These thoughts tormented him day after day. He yearned for his mother, yet he also felt a profound sense of remorse for her, mixed with growing resentment towards his father.
Tears welled up in his eyes as he tried to stifle his sobs, unable to bear the pain of losing his mother in such a manner. The tears flowed relentlessly, and he wondered if this anguish might eventually consume him entirely.
At times, he even contemplated whether death would be a better option, given the overwhelming fear that gripped his young heart.
‘Mom... Mom...!’

"Ah!"
Junhui's eyes flew open, his body drenched in perspiration. He took a series of deep, labored breaths.
"Mr. Kang, are you alright?"
