"Oh, Mr. Kang, what's up?"
"Does something need to be up for me to call you?"
"I mean, no, you're right."
"I just missed you."
Jinju giggled shyly on the other side of the phone.
"Will you not call me if I don’t call you, Miss Baek? You didn’t even send a single message, let alone call me.”
"I thought you were busy. And I was busy too. You sound tired though."
"I've been busy since this morning, and even now I can barely rest."
"You should take care of yourself."
"I will."
"Let’s meet when you have some time to spare."
"Okay, I'll call you. But before you hang up..."
"Yes? What?"
"I think you have something to tell me."
"Something to tell you?"
"Are you clueless or just heartless?"
"I love you, Mr. Kang."
As soon as he asked, Jinju responded within a second, answering faster than he had expected. His heart felt as though it had stopped momentarily.
"Me too. Have a good night."
