Chapter 20 - Chapter 19:The absorption of Divinity

The abyss beneath the Pillar of Absolute Infinity was not a physical space was a conceptual throat. As Xuan Ye plummeted, the laws of the surface world began to peel away like scorched paper. The pressure here was not measured in atmospheres, but in the sheer density of Origin Energy and Void Energy. This was the Zero Zone the secret engine room of the Holy Sanctuary, where the 30 fundamental energies(will be explained on later chapters)were filtered and distributed to the five hundred thousand nations of the North.

Xuan Ye's Ink-Wash Heart was no longer beating it was vibrating at a frequency that threatened to liquefy his crystalline ribs.

[Ink-Wash Heart: 42% Progress]

[Detection: Infinite Sword Tomb Domain — Overlapping Logic]

The air around him was thick with the scent of ancient metal and blood. The Guardian of the Root, a Peak Void Refinement monster, had fully manifested his Myriad Slaughter Type Domain. In this space, every atom of oxygen was a microscopic blade. Every breath Xuan Ye took was an invitation for a billion sword-shards to shred his internal organs.

"You speak of being unwritten, little boy?" the Ancestor's voice boomed, vibrating through the Soul Energy of the shaft. "To edit, one must first exist. In my Infinite Sword Tomb, you are nothing but a target.

"Myriad Slaughter: First Verse —The Rain of Shattered Wills!"

The darkness ignited. Millions of spectral blades, each glowing with the cold light of Sword Intent, converged on Xuan Ye. This wasn't a physical attack it was a conceptual execution. The blades were designed to cut through the target's Karma and Life Energy simultaneously.

Xuan Ye, falling through the center of the storm, didn't draw a weapon. He didn't have one. Instead, he reached into the Book of Fate and activated a function he had never dared to use before.

[Ability:Selective absorption]

"You think your swords are real because the world remembers them," Xuan Ye whispered, his voice calm despite the crystalline cracks appearing on his skin. "But what happens to the sword when the memory of the forge is erased?"

He extended his hand. The black ink on his skin didn't flare outward; it imploded. A vacuum of Unwritten logic formed around his palm.

As the first wave of spectral blades hit the vacuum, they didn't shatter. They vanished. They didn't fall to the ground, and they didn't dissipate into Qi. They were simply removed from the Draft of the current reality. The sword intent, the refined steel, and the Ancestor's will were all absorbed, turned back into raw, nameless data that the Ink-Wash Heart eagerly swallowed.

[Absorbing High-Tier Sword Intent...]

[Ink-Wash Heart: 44% Progress]

The Ancestor's white-fire eyes widened within the darkness. "What... what have you done? My intent! It's gone! I cannot feel the resonance of my own blades!"

"Your blades follow the rules of the Finite World," Xuan Ye said, his Void Step allowing him to stabilize in mid air despite the lack of gravity. "They are written in the language of the Sovereigns. But I am reading a different book."

Xuan Ye lunged. He wasn't fast he was displaced he didn't need speed he can go anywhere he wanted in this finite world. He used the Space Energy latent in the shaft to fold the distance between himself and the Guardian.

The Ancestor roared, his Void Refinement aura erupting in a desperate surge of Abyssal Energy. He swung a hand, and a massive pillar of dark, crushing power descended. This was energy from the deepest parts of the world, designed to flatten infinite numbers of dimensions.

Xuan Ye met the attack head on. He didn't block it. He used the Ink-Wash Vision to find the Binding Logic the specific Law Energy that held the Abyssal power together.

"Too heavy," Xuan Ye muttered. "Let's make it light."

He touched the pillar. The black ink of his heart flooded into the Abyssal Energy. He didn't consume it all he merely rewrite the Weight variable within the energy's code. The crushing, dimensional killing pillar suddenly became as weightless as Ethereal Energy. It drifted past Xuan Ye like a harmless cloud of smoke.

[Ink-Wash Heart: 46% Progress]

The Guardian of the Root was now trembling. In ten million years of guarding the Shard of Genesis, he had fought Nascent Soul geniuses, Soul Formation rebels, and even fellow Void Refinement rivals. He had seen every trick in the finite realm. But he had never seen someone simply change the properties of his attacks.

"You are not a cultivator," the Ancestor whispered, his white fire flickering with the first traces of Demonic Malice Energy (Rage). "You are a plague. A virus from the Vast Space!"

"I am the one who will survive the collapse you're so afraid of," Xuan Ye replied.

He was now only dozens of meters away from the Ancestor. He could see the Guardian's true form now a withered, ancient man fused into the stone of the shaft, his body sustained by the Liquid Origin of the White Lotus. Behind him, glowing with a light that made the eyes bleed, was the Shard of Genesis.

It was a fragment of a page, floating in a cage of Lightning Tribulation Energy. The lightning was white and gold, constantly striking the shard to keep its power contained.

"You want the Shard?" the Ancestor laughed, his voice cracking. "Even if you kill me, you cannot touch it! That cage is built from the Heavenly Mandate. It is the judgment of the universe itself!"

Xuan Ye looked at the white-gold lightning. He felt the Divine Energy within it, a power that naturally suppressed all malice and death.

"I don't have malice," Xuan Ye said, walking forward. "I don't even have a soul in the way you understand it. Why would the Heavens judge something that doesn't exist?"

He reached out toward the cage.

"Stop!" the Ancestor screamed, triggering his final trump card.

"Primordial Authority:THE WORD OF STILLNESS!"

The air froze. The Ice Energy of the domain combined with the Sovereign decree. Every molecular movement in the shaft stopped. The falling dust, the swirling ink, and even the light itself became a frozen statue. This was the absolute rule of a Void Refinement master.

Xuan Ye's body froze. His hand was inches away from the lightning cage.

Inside his mind, the Book of Fate began to glow with a dark, terrifying intensity.

[Warning:Absolute Rule Encountered]

[Initiating Infinite Evolution — Stage 2: The Unwritten Mandate]

If the world says Stillness, Xuan Ye's internal monologue echoed through the finite world, then the world is wrong.

The black ink in his heart began to boil. It didn't move his muscles it moved his existence. He bypassed the physical freezing of his body by shifting his State of Being into the Ethereal Plane.

Slowly, impossibly, Xuan Ye's hand continued to move.

The Ancestor's eyes nearly burst from their sockets. "No... impossible! Nothing moves under the Word of Stillness! Nothing!"

"The Word of Stillness only applies to things that are written," Xuan Ye whispered, his voice vibrating through the frozen air.

His fingers touched the Lightning Tribulation Energy.

The white-gold lightning didn't strike him. It bowed. The Book of Fate acted as a lightning rod for the heavens, drawing the judgment energy into the Ink-Wash Heart.

[Absorbing Heavenly Mandate...]

[Ink-Wash Heart: 48%... 49%...]

The cage vanished. The Shard of Genesis was now hovering, unprotected, before him.

It was a piece of parchment that looked like it was made of woven stars. On it was a single word, written in a language that predated the 30 fundamental energies. It was the word for BECOME.

Xuan Ye grabbed the shard.

The moment his skin touched the parchment, the Holy Sanctuary above let out a sound like a dying god. The Pillar of Absolute Infinity turned from white to pitch black. The silver sea began to evaporate, and the 6 Righteous Holy Sects felt their Dao Hearts crack.

[Ink-Wash Heart:50% Progress]

[Evolution Gate Reached: PURPLE INK CORE — INITIATED]

Xuan Ye's body exploded. Not in a physical sense, but in a conceptual one. His form dissolved into a cloud of black ink that filled the entire shaft. The Ancestor, the stone, the lightning everything was swallowed by the darkness.

Inside the ink, a new world was being born.

[Internal World:The Unwritten Library — Level 1]

[Domain Unlocked: PRIMORDIAL AUTHORITY — THE VOID SCRIPT]

Xuan Ye reformed in the center of the darkness. He was no longer the small page of the Northern Empire. He stood taller, his hair flowing like liquid shadow, and his eyes containing the depth of a thousand dead universes. He had reached the equivalent of the Purple Core realm, but his Core was a swirling vortex of Unwritten Ink that contained its own miniature world.

He looked at the Guardian of the Root, who was now nothing but a withered husk, his domain shattered, his cultivation stripped.

"The White Lotus is dying," Xuan Ye said, his voice now carrying the weight of a Sovereign Domain. "The draft is being scrapped."

He looked up toward the surface. He could see the High Priestess and the sect leaders of the holy sect rushing toward the spire. He could see the destruction balance of the world.

"This is not over" Xuan Ye whispered. "Now, let's see what happens when they know the page is blank of nothingness."

He stepped forward, not into the shaft, but into his own internal world. He vanished from the Holy Sanctuary, leaving behind a continent that was starting to crumble into the silver sea.

The Book of Fate turned to a new page.

[Current Realm:Purple Ink Core — early Stage]

[Threat:beyond the tao]

[Lifespan:100,000 Years (Enhanced)]

The Northern Empire, the Southern Dominion, the East, and the West they all felt the shift. The Pillars were trembling. The anomaly was no longer a secret.

Xuan Ye was no longer a normal page. He was the Heavenless Sovereign, and he had just stolen the world's first word.

He sat in his new library, the Shard of Genesis floating before him.

"Now," he said, picking up a pen made of shadow. "Let's start the real story."
