Orchid stayed at the pavilion until late at night. Will, Jaden, Raven and Liza took her home.
Liza was not interested in going with them. But after Raven talked her into it, she decided to go with them.
" You aren't from around here. Are you?" Raven asked her, seeing how amazed she was with the environment.
Liza smiled.
" I am not."
" Where are you from?" Will asked.
" A village. Far from here."
Will almost frowned.
"Aaah! There are a thousand of village far from here. I mean ,where exactly?"
" Far."
Will opened his mouth, but immediately shut it when Jaden nudged him.
" Curiosity is no sin." He muttered.
" Just shut up."
Will gave a silly nod. " Thank you. Thank you."
Raven muttered a curse under her breath, wishing Will was closer to herself so that she could at least give him a couple of kicks.
Orchid was on Will's side holding his hand. She suddenly started pulling him.
Will gave her a look, " What is it?"
Instead of replying, Orchid pulled him to a stall near by.
" Six bracelets please." She told the stall keeper with a charming smile.
The stall keeper smiled back and handed them to her.
" Beautiful !!" Orchid exclaimed and turned to Will. She gave him a ' Please do pay' look. Silently, Will paid. As they walked towards their fellows again, Orchid gave him one bracelet.
" A gift from me."
" ???"
Will took the bracelet in his hand.
" You are a thief. "
" You paid willingly."
Orchid then ran to other fellows giving each a bracelet with a happy smile.
" It is beautiful, thank you." Raven patted her head.
Will stood where Orchid left him for a moment, before finally approaching them.
As they continued walking, he spotted Lance walking in the opposite direction. He involuntarily slowed his pace and inwardly sighed.
He detested this man.
The first time he saw him at the pavilion was after a year of his living there. That time he secretly tried to kill him. He failed and was secretly punished. Madam Wang made sure that none other than herself and Will knew of it. Even Lance who almost lost his life didn't know of it.
Jaden's eyes caught sight of Will's clenched fist.
He patted Will's shoulder.
Soon enough, they met.
Lance politely greeted them first and they all replied.
Lance's eyes fell on Liza. Since he was a casual visitor at the pavilion, he knew most of the people's faces there. Seeing the unfamiliar face, " You might be new."
Liza gave a nod. " Yes."
Lance then glanced at Will. He approached him.
" Long time no see." Lance told him with a smile.
Will gave a simple nod.
" Truly a long time."
Jaden secretly frowned.
Raven, observed Will's expression and instantly knew that the two people didn't have a good relationship.
Liza was just playing with the bracelet she was just given.
Lance opened his mouth to speak, but didn't as Orchid suddenly coughed.
Will bent down and patted her back.
Lance looked down at the kid.
" Hey kid."
Orchid looked up at him, patting her chest as she coughed.
She nodded.
" Gee...gree... greetings."
Orchid cleared her throat.
" I will greet my mama for you."
Lance smiled and nodded. He handed her a honey candy. Orchid took it happily and bowed in gratitude.
Lance also said his farewells to the group and continued on his way.
" How do you know that man?" Will quickly asked Orchid.
" He is my Mama's friend. A doctor."
" Ohhh." Will nodded. He stared at the honey candy in Orchid's hand for a moment. Quickly, he snatched the candy from her hand.
" Aah??"
He casually tossed it to the ground and stepped on it.
They all looked at him, wearing confused expressions. Raven quickly walked to his side and casually kicked his leg. " Idiot."
" My feet wanted to step on something."
Liza smiled.
Raven scoffed in disbelief. " You are already stepping on the ground."
Jaden only shook his head.
Orchid... She looked at the candy with teary eyes.
" You.... You... You are a bad person!!"
"I promise you that , " There was a moment of silence.
He went on, "You'll never. Ever. Meet a good person like me."
Orchid just sniffed. " You're still bad."
" The world would be too perfect if all bad people were like me." He laughed at his own joke. Jaden immediately smacked his head.
Will stopped laughing.
They soon arrived at Eniva's home. Eniva wasn't home at the moment, so they stayed with Orchid for a while. Shortly after, Eniva came.
" I was just accompanying a guest." She excused herself.
"No. It is alright." Raven assured her.
" We will get going." Jaden concluded.
" Right now?"
They nodded.
" Ohh. It is already too late. Wait here for a moment."
She rushed inside and came back with a package of delicacies.
" Thank you."
Eniva gave a sweet smile. " Then have a great night."
" Thank you." They all bowed.
" I will dream of you." Will joked. Eniva's smiled deepened. Before they could leave, Orchid ran to them and gave each one a quick hug.
"Visit me tomorrow." Orchid whispered to Raven.
" I will come."
" Promise."
" I promise."
" They are such great people." Liza commented as they were on their way home.
Raven nodded.
" These kind of people are rare nowadays." Will said.
Will lay on his back staring at the bracelet on his wrist. For some reason, he had a bad feeling. He put his hand on his waist and sighed.
