The feeling of blood running down Ka'z's throat was unlike anything he had experienced before. Every swallow seemed to send another wave of vitality through his body, spreading from his chest into his limbs and then into every scale. His senses sharpened to an almost absurd degree. The distant clashes of weapons became clear enough for him to distinguish individual strikes, the smell of sweat and blood became overwhelming, and even the fear radiating from the goblins around him seemed almost tangible.
He could smell it on them.
Their breathing had changed. Their hearts were beating faster and their bodies were tense.
They were afraid of him.
Ka'z slowly inhaled, his crimson eyes widening as he took in everything around him. His body felt lighter than it ever had before, yet at the same time, there was an immense strength packed inside every muscle.
