The world blurred into darkness. It was as if I had fallen into an endless void—nothingness stretched in all directions, silent and empty. My mind was blank, except for one thought that refused to fade.
*Did I really just do that?*
I was probably the stupidest person alive.
It all happened so fast. One moment, I was walking down the street, minding my own business, and the next—an old woman, maybe eighty years old, was about to step into the street without looking. Without thinking, I sprinted forward, pushing her back just as a car screeched around the corner, too close for comfort.
The impact—my body thrown back, the sound of tires squealing, then… darkness.
Now, I was here. Or… somewhere else.
Everywhere was black. No light, no sound, just endless void. It felt like I was floating, suspended in nothingness.
Then, a voice—calm, deep, and oddly soothing—resonated within the darkness.
**"You have passed the threshold."**
My thoughts stuttered. I tried to speak, but no words came. Instead, I felt a strange sensation—like warmth spreading through me, a gentle pulse that seemed to seep into my very core.
**"You have shown courage, even if it was born from foolishness,"** the voice continued. **"Your soul is pure, and your spirit strong."**
I wanted to ask what was happening, why I was here, but all I could do was wait.
