"You're changing," Tanzila said.
Tanvir leaned against the wall, watching the city from the window.
"I've always been this."
"No," she shook her head, "you're becoming it again."
He turned toward her.
"And you still stayed."
Tanzila walked closer.
"I always do."
"Even when I become a monster?"
She didn't hesitate.
"Yes."
That answer—
It broke something inside him.
Or maybe—
It completed it.
Tanvir stepped closer.
Close enough that their breaths mixed.
"You shouldn't love me," he said softly.
Tanzila smiled.
"I never had a choice."
He touched her face slowly.
Not gently—
But carefully.
Like something fragile he might destroy.
"I could kill you," he whispered.
"I know."
"And you're not scared?"
Tanzila looked into his eyes—
Deep.
Endless.
"I'm more scared of losing you."
Silence.
Heavy.
Dangerous.

Tanvir kissed her.
