Jude remained in his chair as he looked at the phone long after the call had ended
"A person I have never known existed?"
The words kept replaying in his head
He stood up sharply as he walked towards the window because for years, he had believed the worst thing that the woman could expose was the affair but he guessed he had been wrong all along
He called Betty and told her to pack his things into the car
Knock! Knock!!
"Come in"
Betty stepped inside the office carefully
"So, Betty take my things downstairs to the car....I will be leaving now", Jude said
She nodded once
Jude barely slept that night and every time he closed his eyes, the woman's words still rang in his head
Who was she talking about?, he said in his head
He had spent hours going through every possibility but none made sense
By seven in the morning, he was already dressed
He stood in front of the mirror while he adjusted his tie
