The next day in a courtyard hundreds of men and women, with swords,spears,bows,and shields are standing talking with each other waiting.
Kaiser exited the building in front of the large crowd of warriors, Priscilla and Mai'e watching from inside the castle.
Mai'e turns to Priscilla with a grin on her face.
"Don't even think about it"
Mai'e huffs then crosses her arms in annoyance.
Back down in the courtyard Kaiser is walking back and forth examining the fighters.
"Welcome everyone I know this was a sudden announcement but regardless you're here".
"For the next few hours I will fight everyone here one by one to determine if you will join this squad,I will not aim to maim you or kill you"
Kaiser takes off his jacket and summons his sword and stabs it into the ground.
"If you're able to grab this sword from this spot you will be heavily considered for this team, you will not be guaranteed a spot immediately but you will advance to the next round instead"
"You can even fully evade combat if you wish but be aware I will not abide by that if you choose"
"But also one more rule I will not use any real weapons besides a practice sword and my fist, you can use any weapon you wish, come at me with the intent to kill"
Kaiser begins stretching, hopping around, warming himself up, throwing a few punches and kicks to get ready.
"Now form a circle we will begin"
After a few moments of organization a circle is formed with Kaiser in the middle, his sword a few steps away from him.
"Who wishes to go first come now and fight me"
A rather large man steps forward with two huge curved swords on his back. Each step the ground shakes a little, standing an equal distance from Kaiser's sword he stops.
"Well then the biggest first let's begin"
The large man rushes towards the sword, but Kaiser runs directly to him aiming to stop him, the large man right before reaching the sword is launched backwards, the crowd splitting to avoid him.
"If that's all he had to offer I'm severely disappointed"
Kaiser now standing in front of his sword his fist raised slightly, sighing slightly he walks back behind the sword.
"This is going to be a long day"
One after one many warriors tried and failed to take the sword away from him some coming close but falling just short, those warriors he kept an eye on just in case no one could take the sword from its spot, still standing in the person made circle he notices someone moving through the crowd, pushing people gently out of the way.
Kaiser looking at the person can only analyze them,a hood concealing their face but ragged pants and a sleeveless shirt
"Who are you-
Before he could finish the hooded person is swinging their fist from above his head catching him off guard and pushing him away from the sword.
"Ok fine then let's get to it"
Kaiser sprints back towards the sword the hooded person not moving an inch, forward
Before Kaiser could get closer they jump backwards throwing knives at him only for him to simply swipe them away only to see them gone.
"Hmm"
Kicking behind him he hits them square in the chest sending them skidding backwards away from the sword.
Kaiser, with his leg still raised, turns his head to see the impact of his strike.
"Going to give you credit Mystery man you can definitely fight, but it's time to kick this up a notch"
Kaiser puts his leg down and crouches before disappearing and reappearing rapidly around the person.
The hooded person quickly turns their head from side to side trying to track his movement, only for Kaiser to appear above him throwing a kick aimed at their head.
Quickly feeling the sudden gust of air they cross their arms hoping to brace for the kick only to get kicked from behind and sent forward landing face first.
"There's no time to waste I'm not letting you off the hook"
Kaiser jumps, rearing his fist back before punching the ground as they move before he is able to connect.
Kaiser his fist implanted into the ground turns his head only for him to get kicked in the face.
" Who's letting who off the hook"
The hooded person runs towards the sword and grabs the handle trying to pull it out of the ground only to get grabbed by the shoulders and thrown backwards.
"I told you this was just the beginning but, you didn't listen"
Kaiser rolls his shoulder and pops his neck walking towards them.
"What's your name hmm, I can't let you leave without knowing your name"
The hooded person laughs then grabs their hood pulling it down revealing their pale face, his red hair and sharp teeth, his eyes as orange as a sunset.
"My name-"
Before he says his name he rushes towards the sword grabbing the handle in front of Kaiser, who doesn't move to stop him.
"Is Deakon"
Pulling the sword from the ground many people in the crowd begin cheering at his successful win, feeling proud he raises the sword in the air, the cheers growing louder.
"Good job truly probably the most challenging fight I've had all day, you deserve it"
Snapping his fingers the sword vanished from Deakon's hands back into his own, twirling it a bit before resting it on his shoulder.
"Now for you, you can simply just return to your house or quarters we'll send you a letter later , or you can wait here"
Deakon simply shrugs his shoulders and walks through the crowd, multiple people congratulating him and patting him on the back.
"Now let us begin-
Before Kaiser could finish a whistling noise is heard causing everyone to look around for the source of the sound.
The whistling almost like an arrow grows louder and louder causing most people to cover their ears from the intense pitch.
Kaiser now looked up, spotting the golden comet hurling towards them, his eyes narrowing.
"EVERYONE GET BACK NOW"
Everyone scatters to avoid the blast area, as the comet crashes into the middle of where the circle used to be, causing a flash of light blinding any and everyone.
The light dying down reveals a person, specifically a woman crouched in the Crater of her landing, her face plastered with a smile.
"How annoying are you planning to be, this is getting old"
Looking up from the Crater is Zoephelia, that same smirk irking Kaiser to no end.
"It's time I show these people who can really kick your ass"
Zoephelia begins walking out of the Crater, her spear in hand pointed towards him.
"We never finished our fight and I've come to collect"
All the soldiers, warriors and citizens in the area enclose them in a circle, multiple people shouting for Kaiser to win against her, and others supporting Zoephelia.
Kaiser, extremely annoyed, snaps his fingers, shadows moving off of many people all coming to him, he readies his sword.
"For you, I will use my sword it's time I put you in your place"
Oohs could be heard from the crowd as the two teens began circling each other, Zoephelia still smiling, she stopped for a second to think of a comeback.
"You know you'd be dead 'prince if our fight wasn't interrupted by that snake"
Kaiser rolls his eyes and readies his sword, Zoephelia her smile disappears as did she as Kaiser looks in the air at her swinging her spear downward.
