Sitting around the campfire the three teens are discussing what to do.
"Do you not realize what will happen if the Princess sees us? The moment she does we're done she wants us dead nevermind the queen!"
Zoephelia just looks at Kaiser as he stands and walks away from them to think of different plans.
Zoephelia then immediately has a solution to the plan,
"Hey what if we send in Deakon first, the princess doesn't know about him at all she's only met us two"
Kaiser stops his pacing and in the truth in her words hits
"You're right we can use that to our advantage but it'll be risky, Deakon you can handle yourself if things get out of hand"
Kaiser and Zoephelia look at him only to notice him staring deep into the woods unmoving his eyes locked onto something or someone.
Deakon points his clawed hand in the direction
"Theres someone watching us"
The three instantly rush towards the mysterious presence, silently moving through the trees, flipping,jumping and flying through the thick growth of the trees.
After a few more seconds of running towards this thing or person they come upon a clearing with nothing there except a burnt out fire and empty cans
Searching around for more they only find Huge wolf tracks.
Kaiser kneels down looking at where the tracks go only to see them disappear after a few steps.
"Well that's not good."
Zoephelia and Deakon walk to Kaiser as he's checking the tracks only to see him use his powers, shadows crawling out from the trees and forming a large circle the entire ground getting darker.
"What are you doing?" Zoephelia asked
Kaiser, still concentrating, ignores her.
"Fine you ass-"
"It's here" Kaiser said before he immediately gets up and throws his sword to his left
Zoephelia and Deakon Draw their weapons ready to see who was watching them.
Kaiser now standing, looks at the entrance to the clearing waiting for their stalker to walk through little by little you see their silhouette of a wolf man.
Deakon immediately confused as he noticed something off the smell of the wolfman was wrong.
"There's something wrong with him very wrong"
The stumbling wolf man is pulsing with a dark purple and black as the wolfman steps forward again he pukes up a black substance causing him to fall over.
The three rush to the wolf's side trying to see what's wrong, as they get there the wolfman has this black substance coming out of his eyes,ears, mouth, and nose.
"P-p-please, help-help m-e,me it hurts"
The three lay out medical supplies trying to find to soothe his pain , trying one after another nothing works as the beast man lays in agonizing pain.
"Who did this to you? What did they give you?"
"u-u-u-u-"
The three teens stiffen as they've come across an unfortunate victim of
Zoephelia, now pushing the others out the way, tries her healing magic to at least stop some of the pain.
"hold still for one moment this should at least help"
Zoephelia raises her hands and places them on his chest before a golden circle with runes appears on the man's chest, gradually and slowly some of his wounds close. After a few minutes she stops.
"I've tried my best this is the most I can do to help I don't know if it'll be enough"
The wolfman, now still poisoned, can move somewhat better.
"Thank you so very much I know I don't have much time but thank you"
The wolfman sits up and crosses his legs.
Kaiser, now back next to him kneels down to talk.
"Why did this happen to you? And what the hell kind of poison is this"
The wolfman now looking alive rather than a corpse clicks his teeth.
"Experiments, me and many others were being experimented on, I managed to escape but if it weren't for you three id be dead right now or worse killing any and –"
Deakon suddenly jumps back
"Get back now!"
Kaiser and Zoephelia jump back as the wolfman's body begins convulsing and shaking as his body turns black as his orifices spill over with a black and purple ooze instantly killing him.
Kaiser, now disturbed at the wolfman's brutal death just stands there while Zoephelia and Deakon go to examine the body.
"We have to be careful around this"
Deakon grabs a broken stick and touches the ooze and the stick dissolves nearly instantly.
"I don't get how a poison could do this especially one this toxic…..it has to be magic" said Deakon
Kaiser, now next to the other teens, lifts his hand and all the shadows in the area respond to him, except the shadows from the wolf.
"this definitely has to be magic there's no other way usually I can control the shadows of mostly everything even if it's dead"
Deakon and Zoephelia look at each other before the come to the same conclusion
"It's a curse" they both said
Kaiser smacks himself upside his head
"Of course that could explain it they mixed poison and magic together its honestly an intriguing idea"
Deakon and Zoephelia look at him with an extremely confused face.
"what I didn't say id do anything like this, this is horrible the poor thing didn't have a chance"
The two of them just raise their eyebrows at him not really believing him
"Fine let's go we have to get to the capital we aren't that far from the city"
Before walking off Zoephelia grabs him by the shoulder.
"We should bury him it's the least we can do"
Deakon, still by the wolf, looks over the poor man's body destroyed by the cruel experiments.
Kaiser turns back towards the wolf.
"Come on let's give him some semblance of peace"
Kaiser, using his shadows, lifts up the wolf's body and carries it over where they begin digging a grave, the three digging in silence at the grim thought of what waited for them in the golden city.
A few minutes later as the body is buried with a makeshift head the three teens head back to their campsite to finally get to the Golden City.
A few hours later.
The three After petty arguments and bad jokes
Finally arrive at a broken and destroyed gate, broken down houses shops and buildings.
Kaiser pulls down his hood.
The three all standing together looking up at the massive golden structures floating in the air.
then broken and destroyed homes sitting on the ground beneath as a near ghost town of a slum sits there
"Welcome to the Golden City"
