Synopsis
Elena once believed in love—until betrayal shattered her world. Three days before her wedding, her fiancé walked away, leaving behind nothing but lies and a broken heart. For years, she lived in silence, guarding herself from pain and hope alike. Everything changes when she inherits a lonely lighthouse on a remote island. There, she meets Finn—a quiet, haunted man running from his own past. As the waves crash against the shore, their lives slowly begin to intertwine. Both carry scars they cannot forget, yet in each other, they find an unexpected comfort. While exploring the lighthouse, Elena discovers a box of old letters—remnants of a love story lost to the sea. Through those words, she begins to understand that love is not about perfection, but about courage… the courage to stay, to trust, and to begin again. But when fear threatens to pull her away once more, Elena must make a choice: run from love forever… or risk everything for a second chance. In the end, she learns—sometimes, the bravest thing you can do is come back.

Chapter 1 - chapter 1 : The Broken Promise

Elena's ex-fiancé, Mark, was a charming man. He brought her coffee in bed. He wrote little notes on the bathroom mirror. He made her feel like the only woman in the world.

But Mark also lied. He lied about money. He lied about where he went at night. And three days before their wedding, Elena found another woman's earring in their bed.

When she asked him, Mark just laughed. "You're too sensitive," he said. Then he packed a bag and walked out. He didn't even say goodbye.

That broke Elena. Not just her heart — her trust. She stopped believing in love. She stopped believing in herself.

For three years, she lived like a ghost. She worked in a bookstore. She ate alone. She told herself: *"Never again."*

Then the letter came. Her great-aunt Beatrice had died and left Elena a lighthouse on a small island. Elena almost threw the letter away. But something — maybe anger, maybe hope — made her go.
