It was Monday once more, and y/n didn't want to get up after what occurred yesterday. She had a great time at the theme park initially, but it quickly became a nightmare. She couldn't sleep last night, thinking about how everyone would respond today. Suga reassured her that everyone would move on, but something tells her differently.
Y/n got up like she always did, had her breakfast, and headed to school. Suga was already at the front gate waiting for her. As y/n walked towards Suga, she heard whispers around her.
"Is that her from the audio clip?" "I can't believe she has the nerve to come to school." "That poor fan just wanted to leave the convenience store, but she wouldn't let her go. What a selfish girl."
"Can you all be quiet already? You keep spreading so many rumors, yet none of you are passing your classes," stated one of y/n's classmates. "Why are you standing up for her?" "Why? Because she's my friend. Just leave her be," replied another classmate of y/n.
Her friends began approaching the other students, making ugly faces until they fled.
"Thanks for standing up for me, but won't this just create more rumors?" "Don't worry, girl; they may spread as many rumors as they want about us. Besides, we know their little secrets," one of y/n's friends joked.
"We should get to class before the bell rings, or the teacher will be upset with us for being late. Also, say goodbye to your boyfriend Suga. It looks like he's been holding your hand this whole time," murmured another friend of y/n.
Suga released her hand so y/n could join her friends.
Y/n and her friends began to run to their homeroom while Suga headed to where his group was.
The gossip didn't stop there. Whispers were everywhere, making it hard for y/n to concentrate on her studies. That day, her friends were her only heroes, standing up for her and making faces at other students.
Once lunch began, her friends chose to sit with y/n and the BTS members for her protection.
One of y/n's friends told the members about the leaked audio clip and the incident that occurred earlier at the gate. To their surprise, the members were already aware of the leaked audio clip, but Jungkook promised to find out who was behind it.
"Hold on, that fan's voice sounds really familiar; can you play it for me again?" Jimin asked. After listening to the leaked audio clip one more time, Jimin made a distressed face.
"Jimin, what's the matter?" J-Hope inquired. "I know that fan's voice—I know her. She previously attended this school, but she transferred to another one. And just to clarify, yes, she's in the same grade as us," Jimin explained.
"How can you be so sure you know this person, Jimin?" Jungkook asked. "I just know her, but I can tell you one thing, she's not a fan of ours," Jimin replied seriously.
"But that day, she said she's a fan of mine," Jin added. "That's what she's trying to make you think, but she's not. I have evidence that she's not a fan of ours," Jimin continued. "Jimin, feel free to send that information to me since I've decided to look into this first," Jungkook said confidently.
Jimin sent Jungkook an attachment as the group table observed in quiet.
"Jimin, you're so crazy for sending me a photo of her. I wanted information, not a photo," Jungkook said. "That was the only picture anyone in our class shared with us before she transferred to another school, so you can't tell if she changed her look," Jimin replied. "Can I see her picture?" y/n asked.
Jungkook hands y/n his phone as she and her friends looked at the image.
"Yes, that's her, but she isn't blonde anymore; she has dark black hair," responded y/n. "This is the girl Jimin mentioned. She used to be the most obnoxious person at school, bragging about her life. But I agree with Jimin; this girl isn't a fan of you guys, she's more of a hater," one of y/n's friends said. "And how can you prove that?" Namjoon asked curiously.
"I attended your meet-and-greet in May, and she was there. I actually ran into her in line before it started, and she wouldn't stop talking about how Jin deserves more lines in the songs and how hard he's working on his solo album, claiming it would flop. Honestly, I was flabbergasted and wanted to hit her, but I knew I couldn't. When the meet-and-greet began, she was three people behind me, and after I met each of you, I turned around and noticed her body language was off, especially towards you, Jin. Do you recall what she told you that day?" asked another of y/n's friends.
"In fact, she actually told me I shouldn't be so self-absorbed because I have the looks of the group and that when my album comes out, she would give it a terrible review. Looking back at the convenience store, it felt like she was a different person. I remember her face, but her hair fits the description y/n described," Jin added.
The bell rang, signaling the end of lunch.
All the students headed back to class.
As Jin walked with the members back, he couldn't shake off the uneasy feeling from the memory of the hater girl's words.
"I don't get why she said that to me at the meet-and-greet in May. My album will flop? She has no idea how hard I'm working on this album, and the song I haven't told y/n is about her. Maybe she's just envious of the attention I'm receiving, or perhaps there's something more going on that I'm unaware of. Regardless, I won't let her comments stop me from releasing my solo album on August 25," Jin thought.
