Chapter 17 - C17

He opened the door slowly then walked in. Dylan looked into his eyes. They seemed bitter. Angry. He stood from his bed and walked out.

"Why is he angry?" Nice asked as he placed his bag on the bed.

"You know it?" Madrigal asked. His mood was rational.

"Know what?"

"He likes you." He stated. It wasn't up to him to say of it but for today he had to.

"Maybe." He responded lightly.

"Then why are you punishing him?"

"It's not punish. It's trying to help him not get heart broken."

"Why can't you show him some care atleast."

"Madrigal,..." He exhaled aloud.

"I am the last of the white spirits alive. I know my parents are there somewhere but at the moment if the dark spirit reign is to attack there is only me who can protect you two. I can't fall for my target plus my walls are to high for him to climb." His answer carried it all.

"What if I help bring your parents back. Can you be there for him?" He asked.

"My parents gave up their souls to save you. So that you can protect him."

"You know of it?" Madrigal asked confused.

"Yes. It wasn't to be long till I get the info. All my parents did was leave me hints but I can't blame them."

"Do you want to know everything?" He asked. Now Madrigal trusted this boy. He was certain he was a white spirit though he couldn't see any of that.

"We will have to know when the right time comes." He responded. Then his phone rung. It was Mick. He walked out.

"Anything else you can paint?" Tiw asked as he approached him.

"No. Why are you here?" He responded. He hadn't turned but the voice was now normal in his ears.

"Nice loves rooftops. I didn't know you were here."

"Okay. He's not here you can go now." He responded as he continued painting. It was a drawing of him he observed while they were studying.

"Do you like him?" Tiw dropped the bomb and needed an answer.

"Yes." He responded hurriedly and stopped painting.

Tiw laughed slightly.

"Is there irony in what I've stated?"

"No. He's assexual." He responded. Then silence dawned.

"He isn't." Dylan responded. His head remembered the kiss. Not that Nice pulled off. It was him that stopped kissing.

"I guess I have killed two birds with a stone." He responded.

"First you are the guy that kissed him second you are the mission. But to you be certain he can't love you." He stated certain.

"Why?"

"Because you are his mission."

"That isn't my business." He responded. His strokes became clearer. The more he drew him the more perfect he became

"Are you responding as such because you are my boss or..."

".. because you invaded my personal space. Is that an enough answer?"

"You never really liked me."

"Maybe." His responses didn't wait for Tiw. They were all direct.

"If it's about Nice you can have him. I've been with him for the better part of my life but it changed nothing. If he'll love you I'll let you know but for now he wants you to have a life where he isn't the base."

"Do you think I wanted to fall for him?"

"I know but..."

"Leave me alone plus you know nothing." He said and was silent. Tiw walked away. He wanted to understand them both. Why was it so tough?

"Hey bud." Nice stated in reaching him.

"Hey." Mick said happily raising his hand to great him.

"No need."

"Just see my green spirit once."

"How did you know...plus it's colour?"

"You aren't the only white spirit that ever loved in the Madrigal empire." The response was simple. More relaxing.

"Who else?"

"It is known that all golden spirits are attracted to white spirits."

"But..."

"I know Dylan has feelings for you. But you I have no idea. All white spirits are hard to read."

"How did you know all these?"

"Before my master died he told me to protect his son before the owner of the white spirit that should protect him comes."

"So all the things I always said gave you clues?"

"Yeah. Plus he's never been open to anyone so when he took you to the art room I knew you were special."

"That aside why are you here without your man?" He asked as he giggled.

"My man is at home. That guy David sent me with these." He stated as he handed him new cellphones.

"For everyone?"

"Yeah. I guess your work load is reducing at one end."

"They have grown up." His face turned sorrowful.

"Don't be sad. These would keep you busy." He stated handing him some files.

"These are for..."

"Study them. The Adrian family and Madrigal seem to be on wish of brushing shoulders via Dante."

"Daniels dad?"

"Yes. Study it with your crew and solve. Note on every action each member of your crew takes part in. It'll be used by the boss to place them."

"Okay."

"So I'll go."

"Wait."

"Anything more?"

"Do you know of a guy named Henry?"

"Someone's been bullying you?"

"Maybe."

"Any symbol on him?"

"Double heart."

"It's of a much lower family. Doesn't he know you are from Madrigal?" He asked as he looked at his wrist.

"As said you don't like jewellery."

"I want no lable."

"You can manage. If you took care of everyone till now the rest won't be tough." He responded tapping his shoulder.

"Bye."

"Where is he?" He asked as he scanned the room.

"Mick called him."

"Mick is here?"

"Yes." His response sent Dylan out.

"But he's not there anymore." He wished to continue.

"Hello guys." Nice stated as he walked into the room. Everyone was already there.

"Hey." They all responded. Then the door opened. They all turned to it.

"Dylan." Nice stated as the boy walked in. Silence prevailed.

"Hey." He stated.

"Hi." They all responded. For some reason to some, it was the first time they heard him speak.
