Chapter 161 - the real white king

Give Dos a delicious snack too," Kalon lazily lay on the ground, instructing the maids holding trays beside him.

Alina had already taken the Ocean Dragon Nakson to the Golden City to take up his new post, and they still needed to hold an inauguration ceremony for this new law enforcement officer joining the True Dragon.

This was an essential ceremony, not only demonstrating that the territory had been regularized but also showing the importance placed on this unique True Dragon species, allowing the residents of the territory to feel that the power of their homeland was gradually growing stronger.

However, Dos did not leave with them, remaining in the True Dragon's Fortress; evidently, he had some matters to discuss with Kalon.

But Kalon was not in a hurry to begin the conversation, as it was time for his fixed daily meal.

Charlize, the chief maid in a short maid's uniform, instructed her subordinate maids to prepare snacks for the equally noble Blue Dragon Lord, while picking up a piece of pure gold with her slender fingers and bringing it to her master's mouth.

Kalon extended his flexible tongue, rolled the gold piece into his mouth, and chewed it gently.

The extremely pure gold piece gave him a sticky sensation, like a chewy, sweet, and rich chocolate, a taste Kalon rather liked.

Then, other refined metals and some gem crystals were all eaten by Kalon as dessert.

Dos was also lying down at this time; he refused the maid's service, as in the eyes of other True Dragons, everything in this castle belonged to the Red Dragon Monarch as private property and could not be trespassed upon.

Dos unhurriedly extended his tongue, similarly rolling these delicious snacks, which could benefit True Dragons, into his mouth, chewing slowly.

Although each Dragon Lord had a fixed daily quota, Blue Dragon would not refuse to eat an extra portion.

Long-term consumption of these rare metals and gems could improve the physical quality of True Dragon, making their scales stronger in defense, their skin more flexible, and their affinity for magic greater; the only problem was that the required amount was exceptionally large.

Under the sustenance of the Dragon clan's dependents and territory, every True Dragons in the Dragon clan was more outstanding, stronger, and more beautiful than those wandering True Dragons in the wild, and the gap was continuously widening because the Dragon clan was still developing.

Those loyal dependents and subjects were protected by Dragon clan, who brought them stable order and secure lives. In turn, the dependents also provided for True Dragons, making the Dragon clan stronger.

The Kobold, skilled in excavating ore, greatly increased their efficiency after receiving tools; a portion of the ore excavated daily was used for smelting and refining, to sustain the True Dragons.

A portion would circulate as goods in the market, or be cast into coins for circulation, imbued with the concept of treasure in the hearts of worldly people.

Based on the situation in his territory, Kalon speculated that in ancient times, during the period when True Dragon ruled everything, almost all True Dragon were generally larger than current True Dragon, perhaps due to the sustenance provided by all races.

"What are your thoughts on Naxon's statement about the need to restrain Dragon Lord?" Kalonchatted with Dos while enjoying his delicious snacks, feeling these precious metals and gems dissolve in his stomach and slowly be absorbed by his body.

Dos narrowed his eyes slightly, swallowed the sticky metal in his mouth, clicked his interlocking fangs, savoring the delicious taste and bodily replenishment.

In private settings, the interaction between Dos and the Red Dragon Monarch did not seem constrained or reserved; he knew Kalon's personality, that Kalon never deliberately emphasized his status and majesty, nor did he care about details that might seem offensive.

In the eyes of the Red Dragon Monarch, whose heart contained a deep ocean, anything that needed to be deliberately emphasized and maintained was something inherently lacking, and in the heart of the sufficiently magnanimous yet extremely proud Red Dragon, such behavior was particularly disdained.

So Blue Dragon organized his thoughts and slowly began, "As a True Dragon, especially a Chromatic Dragon, I do not like to be restrained, and I believe other True Dragon feel the same."

"However, to gain something, one must bear some cost, or give up something," Dos extended his True Dragon claw and scratched the large blue horn above his nose; this was a habit Blue Dragon had developed when thinking.

"Therefore, I think, from a rational perspective, Naxon's words make a lot of sense," Blue Dragon agreed with the Ocean Dragon Law Enforcement Officer's opinion.

"Quillon Lord indeed needs restraint; uncontrolled supreme power, once it causes destruction, the consequences would be extremely terrifying."

Dos appeared even more intelligent after learning to gradually control dragon blood and generating chains of order due to a small amount of faith power.

"But relying on laws to restrain Quillon Lord is unfeasible. Governing by True Dragon, governing people by law, governing True Dragon by True Dragon —that is my idea."

"There needs to be an independent Court of Judgement and Enforcement Department, an order department specifically for Dragon Lord, an institution led and guided by True Dragon."

Whether in the mouths of Dos or the Ocean Dragon Naxon, when discussing restraining dragon Lords, the Red Dragon Monarch standing before them was never mentioned, even though the Red Dragon Monarch was, in a sense, also a member of the dragon Lords.

But they both knew that the kingdom existed because of Kalon, just as laws were effective because they were acknowledged by the True Dragon.

If the True Dragon did not acknowledge the law, the law was just waste paper; if Kalon left, the kingdom would collapse.

"Governing True Dragons by True Dragons, I strongly agree with your idea, Dos," Kalon gave Blue Dragon his approval. Kalon never rigidly applied knowledge from his mind when dealing with his territory; he always tried to adapt things from knowledge to the specific circumstances of his territory, localizing them, which was the method Kalon approved of.

"An independent Court of Judgement and Enforcement Department does not need to be established; that would consume many unnecessary resources. No matter the world, society, or system, the highest power echelons will never be constrained by these order departments; their rise and fall are determined only by the will of that small group of people."

Kalon also pondered his words, giving Dos time to react, and he said, "Matters of True Dragons belong to True Dragons, just like the top aristocrats in all kingdoms; things will always happen and be resolved within that small group of people."

"Then what should be done?" Dos furrowed the blue skin between his brows, expressing his confusion.

"Germott, once called the White King by the humans of the Golden City, Dos, you know him, right?" Kalon slowly rose from his prone position, revealing a smile, his thick, long fangs gleaming with a cold light.

Dos also smiled; even though Blue Dragon and White True Dragon belonged to the same True Dragon, part of the same large family, he still felt that Germott was currently unworthy of that title.

Even if Dos did not say it aloud, if Blue Dragon, a superior race among the Chromatic Dragons, had not yet obtained a title, then Germott's title seemed a bit exaggerated.

"Germott himself admitted to me that he could not bear this title," Kalon's True Dragon claw slightly opened upwards, then flipped downwards, as if turning over the clouds in the sky, and gathering back the rain that had fallen to the ground.

Words from the Red Dragon Monarch, carrying an unusual aura, resonated in Blue Dragon's ears, like kingship held high, and a hegemon descending.

"I will bestow upon Germott the power to rule all White Dragons; he will become the true White King."
