Chapter 21 - Antagena Megaphone

The sun rose, and a new day dawned. This mountain range, which originally had no name, might have been named by a traveler passing by, but the Dragon did not know, nor did they care. They came here, and so it became the Dragon Nest Mountains.

After the Dragon arrived, this mountain range had long become a forbidden area for all nearby creatures, and even the birds in the sky did not dare to fly over it.

But today, it suddenly became much livelier. The valley where the Young Dragon's Dragon Nest was located had now transformed into a construction site. Black Dragon Rosani, Germot, and Camid were expanding this now somewhat narrow valley. Once expanded, this valley, nearly a thousand meters high and several miles wide, would become the exclusive Dragon Nest for the Dragon's underage Dragons.

The three Dragons only needed to open up one side of the cliff. They climbed on the same side of the hundreds of meters high cliff, their hard and sharp Dragon Claws digging deep into the rock wall, cutting the rock wall into neatly shaped blocks. Blocks of rock continuously fell from one side of the cliff to the ground.

During the three Dragon's rest time, many of the Kobold dependents, who had been waiting for a long time, would push carts made of giant trees cut down from the forest, taking these stone blocks away and sending them to the settlement designated by Kalon for the Kobold tribe in the forest. These stone blocks would be used to build the Kobold's dwellings and low walls.

Another group of Kobold transported refined gold and silver ore, along with many gemstones, by cart into Kalon's original cave. Kalon's body was now too large for this deep cave, making him feel cooped up. He could simply remove the rock wall that served as a screen, but Kalon felt that his cave was perfect for storing treasures.

His cave had now been specially renovated by the Red Dragon. The tall and wide cave walls had been melted by the Red Dragon's flames into smooth and hard surfaces similar to marble, and the flat ground was even more solid than if it had been compacted by a road roller. The melted crystals on the ground solidified into a single piece, smooth and bright enough to be used as a mirror.

The rock wall that originally served as a screen could also effectively block the view. As long as a door was installed at the cave entrance, it could become a relatively simple treasury. As for safety, if a treasury surrounded by a Dragon Nest ever became unsafe, it would mean that the Dragon had lost its ability to resist.

It must be said that after countless years of accumulation, the treasures accumulated by the Kobold tribe exceeded Kalon's imagination. At that time, due to time constraints, many treasures in the Kobold tribe's underground treasury had not yet been transported. Now, they were being sent into the treasury cart by cart, piling up into small mountains in the wide and deep cave.

Klenaya and Blue Dragon Dos, who were assigned to protect the Kobold tribe's relocation and transportation team, watched the massive amount of treasure flow past their eyes and somewhat regretted not asking Kalon for more treasure earlier. The Dragon's greed had no end, but the two Dragon only thought about it. As they thought, they thought of the limping Akzi, and then they dared not think anymore.

The forest also lost its usual silence. A total of nearly a thousand Kobold were divided into three groups. Not only did they need to work like oxen and horses, but over three hundred Kobold were also building a future tribal camp near the riverbank. As dependents of the Dragon, the once weak Kobold, who could only dig caves underground to live in groups, now had the right to occupy a piece of land on the surface.

The giant trees that had grown in the forest for countless years were cut down one by one. The giant trees, averaging several people's embrace in thickness and dozens of meters tall, appeared exceptionally tough against the Kobold's crude tools. Fortunately, one giant tree could build several simple dwellings for the short Kobold.

Many strong Kobold warriors used iron axes, bronze axes, and quite a few stone axes, crafted with crude techniques, to cut the fallen giant trees into planks and cylinders. Under the leadership of the Kobold Warlock and the chief, they built a series of small wooden houses.

Kalon and Green Dragon Antagena squatted in the clearing in the forest, watching the busy Kobold camp, and began to feel a sense of their territory developing in an orderly manner.

Green Dragon Antagena would choose to nest in the forest in the future, which was a natural preference for Green Dragons, so Kalon planned to hand over the Kobold camp to Green Dragon Antagena for supervision.

But Green Dragon Antagena clearly did not understand why Kalon attached so much importance to the Kobold tribe. In the Dragon's eyes, the weak Kobold were actually dispensable dependents. Their combat power was not strong, and they would only swarm in a fight. The Kobold Warlock's weak power could only tickle the Dragon.

Antagena, seduced by inertia, tilted her head and looked at the distracted Kalon, asking this question: "Kalon, why bother with these weak Kobold? Although the Kobold have excellent mining skills, the Dragon only needs to demand regularly, and there's no need to spend time and effort managing these weak Kobold."

Although Kalon was now the de facto leader of the current Dragon and the young king of the Dragon family, Kalon did not deliberately put on any majestic airs and remained as usual, so the Young Dragon spoke directly to Kalon.

Of course, Kalon would not tell the Green Dragon the truth. He valued these Kobold because they could accumulate energy for him, and he needed to settle them as soon as possible to make them genuinely submit to him and gain more power of thought.

So Kalon's mind spun for a moment, and he came up with a reason to explain: "The Kobold tribe is just our first batch of dependents. As the Young Dragons grow over time, we will take in more dependents. If we show our friendly attitude towards dependents from now on, it will be much easier for us to subdue other dependents in the future, and we can reduce unnecessary battles."

"Moreover, stable order will allow dependents to create more wealth and income for us. Look at those human countries; the stronger and richer a country is, the more it emphasizes stable order. Only when life and living are guaranteed will the members within the territory focus on creating wealth, and thus the Dragon will become even richer."

Kalon subtly painted a grand vision for the Green Dragon beside him, "Besides, if weak humans can create nations, why can't the more powerful Dragon have civilization and their own empire? These dependents are all our wealth, and we should value them as much as we cherish our own wealth."

The taste of this grand vision clearly tempted the Green Dragon. Antagena's emerald pupils glowed green as she looked at the Red Dragon beside her, and her tone became eager, "Do you really have such a grand goal, Kalon? You are indeed the strongest and smartest Dragon in the Dragon."

"Why not?" The Red Dragon's tone became enticing. He waved his Dragon Claw, pointing at the ground beneath his feet and said, "Look at the leaf-covered ground beneath your feet. It is the most fertile humus soil, the most suitable land for planting in the world, the favored land of the Goddess of Harvest. This will be the farm that nourishes the Dragons, and this farm is boundless."

"And that pleasant climate, fertile and rich grassland, where countless wild beasts run, will be the Dragon's pasture. This pasture is boundless. And we only need to take in more dependents to manage our territory for us. This will become the cradle of civilization, the cradle of wealth."

The female Young Dragon Antagena snorted, immersed in the future vision described by Kalon, completely ignoring the powerful monsters and tribes living around the Dragon Clan Territory, many of which even the teenage Dragon Carlit dared not provoke. Perhaps because time was always on the Dragon's side, Kalon also naturally ignored them.

Kalon's words were not just empty promises; he indeed had such plans, especially since his source of reinforcement energy was now linked to the subjugated dependents, which was also his driving force.

Moreover, the Green Dragon, who enjoyed instigating people and was skilled at suggestion, would surely subtly spread his words among the Dragon. The Dragon family would gradually have the same goal and will to act, which would greatly help in consolidating the Dragon's initiative. The Dragon, with the same goals and demands, would also be more united, which was also Kalon's desired outcome.

Kalon knew that only with a strong foundation could he cope with many unpredictable accidents and dangers in the future. After all, a Dragon fears fame, and a pig fears getting fat. As long as he embarked on the path of seeking strength, it was destined to be a journey of continuous conquest.

"Hmm?" Kalon turned his head, sensing something, his Dragon Eyes searching around. Just now, he felt that he was being spied on by other eyes, but a quick scan revealed no target, so he shook his head, not taking it seriously.

Such an experience in the forest was not surprising; perhaps some animal had passed by and looked out of curiosity. If Raven were here, it would be great. She was an elf of the forest, and her perception range was larger than that of the Young Dragon Green Dragon Antagena. Kalon looked at the quiet Green Dragon and couldn't help but feel that it was livelier when Raven was around.
