Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 – Buying Gringotts

The six of them followed Hart into the deepest office inside Gringotts.

Compared to the luxurious bank hall outside, the office was surprisingly elegant. Ancient wooden shelves lined the walls while countless ledgers floated through the air under their own power.

Hart calmly prepared tea as though nothing extraordinary had happened earlier.

"You four are the only Muggles who've ever entered this office," he said lightly. "Consider it an honour."

Then he poured several cups of tea onto the table.

"Australian ambergris tea," Hart added with obvious pride. "Very expensive."

Sean took a sip.

The rich aroma instantly exploded across his senses, carrying a strange warmth unlike any tea he had tasted before.

After several seconds, he finally nodded slightly.

"Not bad."

Hart's eyelids twitched.

This child really spoke like an old man.

Setting down the teacup, Sean calmly returned to business.

"As I said earlier, if Gringotts wants to expand financially, then it needs liquidity."

Hart nodded.

"But the money doesn't need to come from Gringotts itself."

Sean leaned back in his chair.

"Our targets are the wealthy pure-blood families storing mountains of Galleons inside your vaults."

"They already have money, which means they naturally want more money."

Sean tapped the table lightly.

"But Galleons sitting in a vault won't magically reproduce."

"At that point, Gringotts introduces wealth management products."

Hart frowned slightly.

"Wealth… management?"

Sean smiled faintly.

Then he began explaining modern financial concepts to a civilisation that had remained economically stagnant for centuries.

Fixed-interest investment products.

Debt packaging.

Mortgage financing.

Asset leverage.

Credit systems.

Investment funds.

Corporate financing.

Every single concept was utterly alien to the goblins.

Yet every sentence felt dangerously profitable.

At first, Hart listened with restrained scepticism.

Half an hour later, he had begun taking notes.

An hour later, his eyes were shining.

Three hours later, Hart looked at Sean with pure shock and admiration.

Even Wendell stared blankly at Sean by now.

Many of the theories Sean casually mentioned simply did not exist in this world at all.

It was like watching someone from the future explaining modern economics to medieval bankers.

Just as Sean reached the most important part—

He suddenly stopped talking.

Hart nearly exploded.

"Then what?" he demanded anxiously while grabbing Sean's sleeve. "How exactly do we build this financial empire?"

The way he addressed Sean had already changed completely.

From "little wizard"…

To "Mr Sebastian."

Sean merely smiled mysteriously and remained silent.

Hart instantly understood.

After a long silence, the goblin finally sighed deeply.

"Fine," he muttered. "State your conditions."

Sean smiled.

"I want Gringotts."

Silence.

Then—

"Impossible!"

Hart slammed both hands onto the table and nearly pulled out his wand.

"You arrogant little—"

Sean calmly raised a finger.

"Give me a chance," he interrupted. "I'll sign a magical contract with you."

"Within three years, I'll double Gringotts' value."

Hart sneered coldly.

"You expect ownership of Gringotts with a few words? Do you even understand how much wealth Gringotts controls?"

Sean shrugged lightly.

"If it's less than a billion, I'm not interested."

Hart looked furious.

"A billion?! Have you ever even seen that much money?"

Sean smiled faintly.

"The Sebastian Corporation is currently valued at over six billion pounds."

"Within this year, it'll surpass ten billion."

"And I personally control the entire company."

This time, Hart froze completely.

Even the Granger family looked utterly horrified.

An eleven-year-old child controlling a multi-billion-pound empire?

That sounded more ridiculous than magic itself.

Raymond calmly nodded from the side.

"He's telling the truth."

Hart stared at Sean for a very long time.

Then he suddenly closed his eyes.

Hermione quietly leaned closer to Sean.

"He's communicating with other goblins," she whispered. "It's a racial magical ability."

Sean wasn't surprised at all.

If Hart hadn't verified his claims, Sean would've been disappointed.

Several minutes later, Hart slowly reopened his eyes.

The way he looked at Sean had completely changed.

"Three years is too long," Hart said coldly.

"Two years."

"And if you fail…"

A dangerous glint flashed through his eyes.

"You will belong to Gringotts forever."

Hermione's face immediately turned pale.

"Sean, don't!" she said anxiously while pulling his sleeve. "Goblin contracts are absolute! Even Professor Dumbledore couldn't help you if you broke one!"

Sean looked at her in slight surprise.

Then he smiled softly and patted her fluffy hair.

It felt unexpectedly nice.

"Relax," he said calmly. "I know exactly what I'm doing."

Then he turned back toward Hart.

"Deal."

Sean extended his hand.

Hart immediately clasped it tightly.

The next moment, ancient magic surged through the office.

A piece of glowing parchment slowly materialised in mid-air before them.

Golden words automatically formed across the contract.

Hart pressed his handprint onto the parchment first.

Sean followed immediately afterward.

The instant his hand touched the contract, the parchment burst into golden flames and vanished completely.

The agreement had been sealed.

Hart slowly stood up.

Then, to everyone's shock, the goblin bowed slightly toward Sean.

"I look forward to your performance… Boss."

Sean smiled faintly.

"Call me Master."

Hart's expression twitched slightly.

Sean continued calmly:

"For now, contact the wealthy families first. Find out how interested they are in wealth management services."

"I'll prepare a full financial framework later and send it over."

Then he glanced at Hart thoughtfully.

"How exactly do we communicate?"

Hart immediately straightened.

"Please extend your hand, Young Master."

Sean held out his palm.

Hart's long black fingernail lightly traced several strange symbols across Sean's skin.

A faint golden light flashed briefly before disappearing.

In its place remained a tiny coin-shaped mark.

"When necessary, you may contact me through this goblin communication seal," Hart explained respectfully. "It's exclusive goblin magic."

Sean nodded with satisfaction.

"Good."

Then he stood up calmly.

"In that case, we'll be leaving."

When Sean exited Gringotts, an additional pouch hung casually from his hand.

Inside were well over eight hundred gold Galleons.

The Granger family's expressions had become extremely complicated.

Even if they didn't fully understand wizarding finance, they still understood one terrifying fact.

Sean had walked into the wizarding world less than a day ago…

And somehow managed to negotiate ownership rights over Gringotts.

With words alone.

It was honestly frightening.

Sean, however, looked perfectly relaxed.

"Well then," he said casually while glancing toward Diagon Alley, "time for school shopping."

Then he looked toward Wendell Granger with a smile.

"Care to join us, Mr Granger?"
