Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: The Drunkard's Intent Is Not in the Wine

At the entrance of TAXX.

The early morning wind carried a hint of coolness.

"Young Master Zhou, I'll be heading out first then."

Luo Qianqian waved at Zhou Xing with a smile, then threw him a look that only the two of them could understand.

She turned around, pulled along a colleague she was close with, hailed a taxi by the roadside, and disappeared from everyone's sight.

An Ya had a suspicious look on her face.

In the bar, Luo Qianqian had looked like she wanted to bury her entire body in Zhou Xing's arms, never leaving his side for a second.

Her intentions were as clear as day to everyone.

Why did she suddenly change her tune and choose to leave so decisively?

Was it because Zhou Xing had made it clear to her that we were just having a spat earlier, and now that the relationship was repaired, she knew she had no chance and backed off?

An Ya felt that this was most likely the case.

After all, the person Zhou Xing cared about most must be her; otherwise, he wouldn't have agreed to invite them to TAXX to play.

His fake affection with Luo Qianqian was also done out of anger, just to show her.

Thinking of this, An Ya immediately became happy.

This was good too... she could enjoy some time alone with Zhou Xing.

Even if it was just him sending her back.

With a smile on her face, An Ya stepped forward and hugged Zhou Xing's arm, pressing her body tightly against his as she followed him closely.

They looked like a couple in the middle of a passionate romance.

"What's wrong?"

Zhou Xing looked down with a glance.

"It's nothing."

An Ya shook her head and chuckled. She hadn't realized Zhou Xing was the type to be cold on the outside but warm on the inside.

Her position in his heart was so important.

On the surface, he seemed like he didn't care about her, but in reality, he had secretly driven Luo Qianqian away.

Thinking of this, An Ya's heart was filled with happiness.

For a person like Zhou Xing to do these things for her, she was already very satisfied.

Just then.

A black Rolls-Royce Ghost stopped in front of Zhou Xing.

The manager got out of the car and opened the door for Zhou Xing: "Young Master Zhou, our boss specifically instructed us before he left that since you've been drinking, it might not be convenient for you to drive. So, he left his car to take you back."

"As for your car, if you don't mind, please leave it to me. I'll drive it back."

Hearing this, Zhou Xing thought Chang Wenyu had considered everything quite thoroughly.

He was just wondering how to get back.

Now it seemed he wouldn't have to call a taxi.

"Alright."

Zhou Xing didn't stand on ceremony and handed the keys to the manager: "Then I won't be polite."

"It's what we should do."

The manager smiled: "Mr. Zhou, please get in the car first. Just tell the driver your destination."

Zhou Xing nodded, then turned to look at An Ya: "Come on, I'll send you back."

An Ya responded obediently and, under the envious gazes of her colleagues, got into the car.

To be personally sent back by Zhou Xing—among so many people, she was the only one with this honor.

Zhou Xing also got into the car.

The car door closed automatically, and the young driver in a suit in the front turned around and asked respectfully: "Mr. Zhou, where are we going first?"

"To the Ji Hotel first."

"Understood."

The driver said no more and pressed a button.

A partition slowly lowered in the middle.

The rear seats became a private space, and the driver could no longer see anything happening behind him.

The car smoothly drove away from the bar entrance.

The manager also drove the Lamborghini, following behind.

It was very quiet in the car.

An Ya kept her legs together and peeked at Zhou Xing, only to find him looking out the window, wondering what he was thinking about.

In his quiet state, Zhou Xing seemed even more charming.

Of course... it would be even better if Zhou Xing's hand wasn't resting on her leg.

She had already gotten used to it.

"Zhou Xing, are you busy tomorrow?"

An Ya turned her head and looked at Zhou Xing.

"What's up?"

Zhou Xing withdrew his gaze from outside the window.

"Didn't you say before that you wanted me to show you around Shanghai?"

An Ya brushed back a strand of hair and smiled: "I have to fly back to Jiangcheng the day after tomorrow. I still have a day off tomorrow, so I thought if it's convenient for you, we could go see The Bund."

"It's too late today. Although Shanghai is beautiful at night, I still think Shanghai during the day is more fun."

Zhou Xing looked at An Ya, a smile playing at the corners of his mouth.

An Ya felt a bit uncomfortable under Zhou Xing's gaze, and a faint blush appeared on her face: "Is there something wrong with what I said?"

"Nothing."

Zhou Xing smiled and then looked away: "Alright, I don't have anything to do tomorrow."

"Then it's a deal?"

"Okay."

An Ya hugged Zhou Xing's arm a bit excitedly, seemingly looking forward to tomorrow's outing.

She certainly knew that Zhou Xing asking her to be his guide was a case of 'the drunkard's intent not being in the wine.'

However, they both tacitly avoided poking through that thin layer of paper.

"Mr. Zhou, we have arrived."

In the early morning of Shanghai, the roads were very clear.

After driving for over ten minutes, the car stopped steadily at the entrance of the Ji Hotel.

The driver's voice came from behind the partition.

"Then I'll be going now?"

An Ya seemed a bit reluctant to leave: "See you tomorrow, and thank you for sending me back."

"But I don't seem to see any sincerity in your gratitude."

Zhou Xing raised an eyebrow.

An Ya sat in her seat, looking a bit conflicted. Looking at Zhou Xing, she suddenly steeled her heart.

Closing her eyes, she leaned in to kiss Zhou Xing on the cheek.

But in the next moment.

Zhou Xing pulled her into an embrace.

The direction of the kiss toward the cheek quietly changed.

Her teeth were pried open.

Zhou Xing's domineering actions made An Ya lose her will to resist. Her gaze gradually became blurred, and she only murmured in a low voice.

A full few minutes passed.

When An Ya felt Zhou Xing's hand unbuttoning her clothes, she instantly snapped back to her senses.

She patted Zhou Xing: "Don't... not here."

Zhou Xing let her go. An Ya took large gulps of air, then looked toward the partition. Seeing that it was tightly shut and the driver couldn't see the back seat at all, she breathed a slight sigh of relief.

She looked up and found Zhou Xing looking at her with a smile: "If not in the car, then somewhere else is fine?"

An Ya's small face instantly turned beet red, and she bit her lip: "I didn't say that!"

Her soft and weak appearance immediately made Zhou Xing's blood surge.

He really wanted to not let An Ya get out of the car and just have the driver take them back to the Ritz-Carlton.

But after some hesitation, he gave up on the idea.

Tasting tea requires patience.

Being too hasty would only be counterproductive.

Besides... Luo Qianqian was still waiting in his room, so this was clearly not a wise decision.

An Ya raised her fist high but let it fall gently on Zhou Xing, lowering her voice: "I knew it, you haven't had good intentions from the very beginning."

Her tone was both petulant and shy.

Zhou Xing didn't say anything, just gave a faint smile: "I'll come pick you up tomorrow."

"Okay."

An Ya tidied her crumpled clothes and hurriedly got out of the car.

She only felt her legs go a bit soft, and Zhou Xing's touch seemed to linger on her body.

At the thought of staying in the car for so long—even though the driver couldn't see, he must have guessed what they were doing—An Ya wished she could find a hole to crawl into.

Zhou Xing watched An Ya enter the hotel, then said to the driver: "Please drive to the Ritz-Carlton."

"Understood."

The driver's tone was still steady, showing no impatience despite the long wait.

The car started again.

The Rolls-Royce drove toward the Ritz-Carlton, with a blue Lamborghini following behind.

The deafening engine sound was particularly striking in the dark night.

It took less than half an hour.

Zhou Xing arrived at his destination.

He got out of the car, and the manager also parked his car in a space in the hotel's surface parking lot, handing over the keys with both hands.

Zhou Xing took the keys, then took out a stack of cash from the car and divided it into two portions.

He handed one portion to the manager: "Thanks."

The manager didn't dare take the cash, saying with a face full of smiles: "You are a guest of our bar and a friend of the boss. Such a small matter is what I should do."

"Take it, you've earned it. Business is business," Zhou Xing said calmly.

The manager had no choice but to take the cash, thanking him again: "Thank you, Young Master Zhou. Next time you come to our bar, just let me know in advance. I guarantee to save the best seat for you and make sure you have a good time."

Zhou Xing nodded, then went to the front of the car and, despite the driver's repeated waving of hands, placed the remaining stack of cash inside the car.

"Thank your boss for me. Good work."

After saying that, Zhou Xing walked toward the hotel.

Just as he entered the main entrance,

Butler Wang was standing there, bowing slightly to Zhou Xing: "Mr. Zhou, your friend is already upstairs waiting for you."

"I know."

Zhou Xing took the elevator to the 51st floor.

He opened the room door.

It was pitch black inside.

Total silence.

Not a sound.

This made Zhou Xing frown. Where did Luo Qianqian go?

In the next moment,

the lights in the room suddenly turned on.

Then Luo Qianqian, wearing a Flight Attendant uniform and high heels, walked out of the room.

With a seductive look on her face, she elegantly approached Zhou Xing.

Then she wrapped her arms around Zhou Xing, stood on her tiptoes, and leaned into his ear: "Hello, Pilot Zhou. I am Luo Qianqian, the Flight Attendant for this flight."

"I will be coordinating with you throughout this entire flight."

"I hope Pilot Zhou will be satisfied with my service on this flight."
